Perfect for if you're a heavy phone, tablet, etc. user - and don't want to constantly be on the lookout for a charge. I've used this on international long-haul travel for days and never run out of juice for multiple devices - and I'm not fighting for an outlet at the airport or hoping the plane has USB power that actually works. The size is remarkable, and I haven't had any issues with heating while being used. I keep this in my backpack and don't even notice it's there.

So far, it works great! - it has held 100% power for over a week between uses and has plenty of power to charge my pixel cell phone pretty quickly, as well as other electronics without needing a recharge. It does, however, charge very slow with a regular charger, but that's no surprise if you read the description. It's only about the weight of my cell phone and nice and compact - a little narrower, but similar in form to a men's trifold wallet. A perfect back up power source - just what one should be; small, light, powerful, and sufficient for the task, otherwise, why bother?

I have this Anker PowerCore II 10000 and also the older Anker PowerCore 10000. PROS for PowerCore II: * I like that it has the 8 LED lights in the button versus only having 4 lights. It gave me more assurance that I had enough charge left in the portable charger before getting on a flight or before doing an all day outing. I also feel less pressure to charge it up all the time because of the better power indicator. * The PowerCore II has a better texture. Although this fact does nothing to make change the usefulness of the battery, it does feel better in the hand. But do consider that scratches do show up a bit more on this lined texture. * The PowerCore II device itself does recharge faster from zero than the PowerCore. CONS: * The PowerCore II is a bit larger. It's still significantly smaller than other 10K chargers in the market but because I have both versions, the older PowerCore does more of a "wow" factor when it comes to size. * Honestly, it didn't really charge a connected device that much faster. On multiple attempts it's probably about 10-13% faster on charging. Mind you the older PowerCore I have has been used up quite a lot over the past couple of years. So that may be a factor. Also, that being said...either one, the PowerCore II and PowerCore both charge really fast in comparison to other competitor brands. They both perform reliably and are a must have when ever you know you could be away from an outlet for more than a few hours.

Like all my purchases from Anker, this “juice box” works very well. I have several of these, in different capacities, for myself and three kids (teens and young adult). They are great to have in your bag or pocket, either as a backup or if your phone is just old and needs charging during the day. I really like this one, as it is smaller and lighter than my big “mom” charger (from Anker), that can charge two devices at once. My sixteen year old daughter uses this size every single day. She charges it over the weekend, then keeps it in her backpack for school all week. It keeps her phone charged and going all week, through her extended school day and extra activities after school.

I bought this to keep my iphone 7 charged while on a 10 day trek up Kilimanjaro. Before I left on the trip I used it exclusively to charge my phone at home. It was able to provide enough charge for 7 full days of calls, internet, texting, etc. with my phone that Apple tells me has a battery with 80% capacity. I figured if it was good enough for a week of regular phone use, it should hold up to 10 days of airplane mode tracking speed, location, reading books, playing a few mindless games in the tent, etc. At the end of the trek it was showing 3 blue dots remaining, so it worked very well. Other had similar powerpacks from various vendors so we ended up comparing weight, size, and presumed capacity. It was generally felt that this Anker product was an excellent balance or size, weight, and capacity. I know one friend on the trek that ordered one when he returned home. While it got banged around a bit in the tent and being packed and unpacked repeatedly, I can't really speak to durability. I've read that Anker powerpacks like this can be hit or miss in reliability after a few months - although I've also heard their customer support is very good. I've not yet seen that, so for the time being I'm giving it a 5 star rating. If it does fail, I'll update my review. In the meantime, if you need a small portable powerpack with a decent amount of juice, I would recommend this product.

This is the second powerbank I've ever owned but the first Anker one. I own other Anker products because I trust the brand for its built and quality. However, this powerbank has been a disappointment for lacking one important feature I need - a reliable indicator. I really like the built quality of the product; it really feels premium. But I can't rely on the indicator to show the correct battery life. For my purposes, my not being able to trust what it tells me has been frustrating. It would show that I have half a charge left (5000 mah) but that could mean I might get a full charge of my 2100 mah phone or half a charge. It has happened too many times. It's just not reliable compared to my last powerbank of a different brand. Hoping it's just a defect, but I likely will go back to the other brand for powerbanks. UPDATE: I've updated my rating from 2 stars to 5 stars. After writing my previous review, Anker reached out to me and helped me find a solution to my problem. I was extremely impressed by their amazing customer service - going beyond what I would expect a company would do. Will definitely be sticking with Anker for any future needs I have.

The Anker PowerCore II 10000 arrived in some of the best packaging I've ever seen. Right out of the box 3 of the 8 blue led lights lit up. This indicates it was approximately 1/3 charged. I plugged it in and waited a few hours for the 8 led lights to light up. When I plugged in in my 7” tablet, it was registering 30%. I plugged once and checked it in approximately 2 1/2 hours and the tablet battery registered 100%. It charged my ZTE V8 Blade Pro (Galaxy clone, 6.0 inch, marshmallow) from 50% to full in less than 2 hours. There was still 4 of the 8 blue led lights lit, so I plugged in my wife’s Honor 5x android phone. That was registering 60% when l plugged it in in. Less than 90 minutes later her phone registered 100%. After charging her phone it was able to charge my Bluetooth earbuds and it still registered over 25%. A full recharge took a little over 6 hours. The PowerCore II 10000 comes with a nice nylon carry bag, and a micro USB cable. The battery is lightweight, and will easily drop into most daypacks / backpacks or even a purse. Providing the ability to charge the average Android / iPhone SEVERAL times. All in all, when compared to the previous version, the major benefit is the reduced charging times. If your device supports quick charging, this is the one to get. Some of the newer features are: The case is somewhat more curved The Power now has twice as many LED’s as the previous version (8 as opposed to 4) Allowing 18w in allows the unit to recharge faster (previous version was 10W) The power output was increased to 5v @ 3.0a (devices recharge faster) The new unit is slightly larger than the previous version T3ch5upp0rt can easily recommend this as a great power addition. Pick up one of these and you’ll be able to charge your phone many times while attending the next all-day event. This is the one you should get. I have both the 3.0 and this one the 2.0 which seams a little odd that Anker would make it confusing to make the 3.0 sounds like a newer model. However the 2.0 gives you a little more then the 3.0. The 2.0 has a faster charging capability. Meaning when it's time to recharge the charger itself it will do so much faster then the 3.0.

Charges everything super fast and it charges itself super fast. I can't tell you how many times I forgot to charge up an external battery pack only to have to wait for 4 hours for it to be charged. This thing charges in about an hour and a half (maybe longer but I'm not timing it with a stopwatch). Charges up my samsung galaxy s9 plus twice and has some left over for my other things. Great buy for a great price!

I like to go on long hikes, using my GPS with All Trails. My battery was always running on low battery mode, and even then, getting close to empty by the time I'd get back to the parking lot. I got this and it has changed everything. I can't believe how many charges I get out of this battery. I now bring it in my work bag when I'm not in the office, and we are regularly using it to charge where there are no easy outlets -- like when my kid wants to charge his Fitbit while sitting on a couch in a spot where there are no outlets. We've had this for several months and it's just as effective as when we bought it.
