Early then expected good

Art style is awesome, so many different ways to play. Lots of customization and the story is really interesting, if you're on the fence I would go for it.

Amazing game great details if your a anime or dark souls fan this is a must have

I wasn't big on the Souls games but I do like anime. After playing the trial and realizing that the character customization is in some much depth that you can literally make any anime character that exist! 5/5

Good story. Good graphics. Great characters. What’s not to love? Besides, ya know, dying multiple times to a boss you can’t beat.

My expectations for this game weren’t the best but it’s been on my radar until it slipped my mind. Once I saw it was out and overall the reviews were positive I decided to download the trial. About ten minutes later I was smiling because the game feels great. While nothing is a exact copy of that Dark Souls feel this is one of the best “clones” I’ve played. The combat is fast paced and smooth. Parries and backstabs feel great and satisfying like they should. The combat is deep and has a ton of variety thanks to being able to easily switch classes as well as pick and choose abilities from other classes to use on any class. Weapons upgrades and leveling are all here just like Souls. The difference being you don’t pour points into particular stats thanks to the blood code system. It’s clear while heavily influenced they put a lot of their own spin on things and it makes for a great game. The pacing and speed is definitely closer to bloodborne over say Dark Souls 1, but I prefer the nice quick pace here. The menu system works much the same way as From games usually do so you’ll feel right at home. The graphics are nice and crisp on the One X and the characters and story are very interesting so far. What I love about this game is it feels like someone put dark souls, bloodborne and bits of Persona in a blender and made a great game. The persona comparison is from the relationship interacting and home base / slice of life feel you get with your fellow npcs. They even have a system in place that reminds me of chalice dungeons which I loved from bloodborne. For the 50$ I’m immensely satisfied. The game has a lot of meat to it and I feel like the replay ability with the additional difficulty setting and new game plus mode will be very high. I wanted to support this game as it’s a new franchise and it deserves to sell well so we keep getting more games like this. I would ignore the not very difficult nonsense. While not as hard overall as dark souls or bloodborne for the most part I am finding plenty of challenge. It has not been a cake walk like some would say. Also if you don’t partner up with one of your npc buddies prepare to get your rear end handed to you. There is plenty of challenge to be had. I think some forget we’ve had 4+ From Software games to put us in the proper mindset for this sort of title and hone our reflexes. Just buy it!
