I feel silly posting about screws. I mean what could go wrong? Are there competitors sending out the wrong colors, wrong heads, fragile screws made out of weak material? I assume those would be getting 1 star. But the company that sent these felt it important enough to ask me to review this order of 100 screws. Since they took my time, I said hey, why not add a little more and let them know how silly it is to ask for a review of screws. What's next, reviewing my car wash each time I go through it?

These Xylan Coated Stainless Flat Head Phillips Wood Screws were exactly what I needed in order fasten 90 metal balusters and railing connectors I ordered for a new deck, they will match perfectly and shouldn't rust.. They were sent quickly and in a well protected box which is important.

Good screws -- sturdy, good price. However, they're not "true" wood screws. A "real" wood screw has a short section of shank that doesn't have thread on it. That makes it easier to screw together two pieces of wood without the screw pushing them apart. That said, the threadless shank section thing isn't a hard rule, and as long as you know the style of screw that you're getting and what you're going to use it for, there are fine.

I had used some standard drywall screws while rebuilding a golf cart and found the screws turned brownish on the head after being exposed to the exterior elements for about three months. These screws have solved that problem. I replaced all the screws in the cart that had this issue and now have a clean look and the screws do not have a brown run with the weather.

After painting my 1950s era kitchen cabinets, I bought Amerock hinges and tried to install them. It did not go well. The 12 sets of hinges I bought came with 3 different kinds of screws and only 3 packages were usable. The non-functioning screws were a mixture of dry-wall style and poorly-tapered screws with a dull point. Since the local box stores don't seem to carry small black wood screws, I searched on line and found these. They worked great!

Wanted some black wood screws for shelving project, locally wasn't an option at the time as none were available. Worked as intended, but if you don't predrill these will wander into the wood depending on the grain. Probably how all screws will but felt with these and drilling in the underside maybe it was the angle but tended to go in a random angle even when starting relatively straight. If you use a impact driver these will strip so be cautious

I have bought and used at thousands of these screws in the furniture I make. I only use hardwood, mostly oak. These screws are excellent. Great holding power. Easy to drive without stripping the Phillips slots. I always drill a pilot hole. Once seated, you can remove and reinstall these screws multiple times, as long as you avoid overdriving the screw and stripping the threads. At almost ten cents a screw you expect high quality. These are.

I used these in a custom gift box build that required a darker screws rather than the brass ones so commonly used. These were strong enough to hold the box together and support the small hinges used on the doors.

Quality screw with a nice even black finish. used them to replace cabinet screws in hinges. Make sure you use the proper Philips head screwdriver as to not break the finish. Impact or electric driver can remove the finish if not careful. Happy with the end result

The item is exactly as described, I am using them to put lattice up on my deck. Too many animals get in such as rabbits, and my dog kills them. Not only do I not care for the cleanup, I happen to like the rabbits.
