No need for ice!

Used while traveling across the country. Eliminates the need for ice and keeps everything cold without making them soggy and wet. Comes with a vehicle lighter plug; the extra long cord to reaches the front plug from the back of an SUV. We did have to purchase an adapter to plug into a standard outlet in the hotels. (Available at most stores that sell electronics)

Best electric 46 quart cooler for the money!

I bought this a week ago for my road trip. This thing ran non-stop for 5 days.....while in the car and hotel room. It was flawless! The fan might be considered loud to some but it doesn't bother me......i usually have a fan on while I sleep anyways. I recommend that you get the a/c adapter as well. For the price of $128.....the next comparable unit was $149. I read the reviews on both and I haven't experienced anything negative with this cooler. The extendable handle is easier to use than some luggage bags and rolls just as nice. I highly recommend this cooler!

Love it!

We bought this product to travel back and forth from Northern Washington to Southern California without having to refill our Ice-chest with ice at every stop. This Car Fridge has worked like a gem. Even though We have only used it for a month we have been completely satisfied. No overheating of the fan was ever noticed. It sits in the back of our suburban and plugs in to the outlet. We take care of unplugging it overnight while the weather was cool and no need for refrigeration since we were not opening it throughout the night. Everything stayed cold. Traveling back and forth it was in constant use for a week at a time. No problems! The only thing I was a bit disapointed about was that we had to purchase the car adaptor to enable us to plug it in the outlet separatly from the car fridge. All in all a good purchase and we would reccomend it to any other travelers. We beleive if you take good care of it, use it smartly ...it will last a long time.

Worked for a road trip

I used the Wagan 46 quart cooler on a 4 day road trip. It held all meals for those 4 days for 2 people. It was plugged in most of the time. I had a fridge thermometer in it at all times. It did dip below the safe zone a few times from opening at meal times, but it cooled off again quickly enough that I wasn't concerned. For the rest of the time, it stayed perfectly in refrigeration target temperatures. I chilled some drinks from room temperature overnight, and the next evening they were cold. I didn't check before then. Another note: I blatantly disregarded the warning to unplug it before starting the car, and it didn't blow up or anything. I also put a bag of ice in it while the car was off for about 5 hours. It stayed cold enough during that time.

Works as expected! Would give as gifts for my family.

I go to a specialty Japanese market that is an hour and a half away. Today I tried my Wagan Cooler to bring home frozen and refrigerator foods in 100+ degree weather. The cooler worked wonderfully. And I loved the fact that I could place my bags on top of the cooler and just rolled everything in the house in one trip. I feel that I will be using this on all and any trips i take. Love this purchase!!!

Excellent product for someone who can lift a large cooler when full.

Excellent product, but very large for somone older to lift and put into and take out of car when full. Also, unpluging it when the car engine is off is not easy to always remember.

Perfect for road trips, power outages or evacuation

Purchased this as part of our hurricane kit. We didn't use it for that because Irma got here too fast. It's large and fits great in my Jeep commander for road trips.

Truck Driver Cooler

I bought this cooler for my son who is a truck driver. He needed something to keep his food warm as well cool. He is on the road and i told him what I purchase, he say this perfect. I plug it up and it works perfect. This is a truckers dream.

Get REALLY Cold

Came on time. When I received it, I plug it in to see that it worked. This cooler was plugged in 20 min. & it got real cold. Very happy with this cooler. My last cooler like this (different brand) worked for @ least 15 years b4 it died so, I hope the Wagan gets that many years of use out of it. I'm kind of lost without my 12V cooler. But I will say the Wagan cooler gets a lot colder then my old one. It holds a lot. I like that it cools from the top, my old 1 cooled @ the bottom side. It's a lot better being cooled from the top. So far very happy with the Wagan and I've already used it many times. Just remember to turn the switch off b4 you turn your car/truck off, it states in owners manual.
