It works!!!

Having used several other products which did an okay job, but still my cat shed hair all over, I was skeptical of this product. Many reviews said it worked and pics showed gobs of hair that were removed. I have to say the positive reviews were absolutely spot-on! The first and second times I used this I got tons of hair off my short-haired cat. It seemed to be the short, fluffy underhairs that stick to everything. Shedding was noticeably reduced, now there is much less hair on furniture, rugs, floor, etc.

Perfect for short hair!

This is perfect for a short haired animal. Cat, dog, whatever animal you need to comb hair from. Just because they have short hair doesn't mean they don't need to be thinned, dead skin, loose hair. This is exactly what I was looking for. It gets underneath the top fur. Be gentle, can be a little sharp. The price makes it even better. Yes I recommend this product.

FANTASTIC!

I got this to help with my cat's shedding and he has a lot of dead skin/dandruff. He's a medium long haired cat and I had never seen a deshedder and holy crap! The amount of undercoat hair that came off my cat! From the fine comb it brought a lot of that dead skin with it. (not horrible, just enough to be unsightly). For three days I gently brushed him with this then let him be (I'll probably use this a couple of times a month just to keep up on it). Two weeks later and his coat is beautiful, very little dandruff Love it. This is well made, I can't see it breaking. Wish I had known about it years ago. 5 stars all the way.

Great brush for cats

Used on a domestic short hair cat and it catches a lot of hair and isn't rough or hurtful. Cat doesn't particularly like the brush but it works better than anything else I've tried. Great size smaller brush, which is what I wanted since most others are 4" wide and this one is only about 2". Would definitely recommend.

Works great! I brushed a small dog out of my large dogs coat!

It now explains why her coat even though its short, is always so thick and she's got endless hair. I looked at her coat the other day (first picture) and it looked so strange seeing all the loose hair and I knew I needed something quick to fix it! So I bought this and brushed her out and it worked great! So much hair came out and her coat looks smooth. Very very happy with it and can't beat it for that price!

really works well

you don’t need to bear down hard, put too much effort into brushing unless it’s a really heavy duty coat the first time. on a dog with a smooth coat care is needed; use little pressure, it gets the fur off really well. (using it on Big Puppy who has a smooth coat but had a layer to shed; a presa canario; mastiff). he was not pleased if I used it any way other than lightly and I don’t know if it was painful (my assumption so I did it very lightly) or that no one had ever brushed him (a distinct possibility; he is my super’s dog & he got him at ten months of age as a watch dog).

For those wondering if it works on cats

Decided to buy this since my medium-hair cat sheds EVERYWHERE. Needless to say, and as you can tell by the picture after only one brushing session, this brush works wonders. Easy to use and clean, this brush gets every hair stuck in the undercoat with just a few strokes. My cat seems to enjoy it too, closing her eyes and purring as I brush her. After a brushing, her fur feels softer and she looks great. Another function I've realised is it's also pretty good at getting shed fur off of my cloth couch. It seems a little weird to brush my couch, but it works nonetheless. The blade is removable so you can wash it under the tap if it gets dirty. Caught hair pulls out easily and doesnt get stuck in the teeth. Overall, a great brush for helping with the endless shedding.

Works just a well as the name brand kind!

I like that this is smaller, it works better for my cat who gets over stimulated very easily. I full size furminator irritated her too much and are expensive. I ordered this one on a whim due to it's low cost and smaller size, and it works just was well as the expensive ones. I highly recommend this for smaller pets (less than 15lbs) that have medium to short fur. The cat I use this for has very thick, medium fur and it does not snag or get caught in her fur.

Good much makes a mess

This brush gets a lot of hair off, but it fills up fast so you have to remove fur from its teeth often, and a lot of fur doesn't stay in the teeth at all. So if you want to dislodge a lot of fur, this thing is quite effect. Just do it in a place where you don't mind getting fur everywhere, and you plan on cleaning up afterwards. It's still a very effective product though.
