I have used these for everything from upgrading headlights to electric chokes and even as a starter relay on an 84 Chevy truck and had no issues. The relays are sealed well so you don't have to worry about water intrusion in the relay itself. The included wiring is a nice bonus, but it is NOT sealed so water can still get into the connections. Also the wires that are included maybe on the small side for any sustained high current, certainly not suited for a continuous 30/40 amp load. Luckily the terminals are easy to remove from the connector so heavier wire can be installed and still look professional. The mounting bracket is a bit flimsy but holds the relay in place. For the price you cant hardly go wrong, certainly much cheaper than buying them at a local parts store.

Nice little unit. Works like a charm where you want to install a switch remote from the power source and the load. Enables the use of lower AWG wiring for the switch, like Cat 5 wire, while higher AWG is used to connect the power source to the load and turn it on or off remotely. I installed the relay in an RV to control a local battery-powered back-up light for the RV. The switch is installed in the towing vehicle, and Cat 5 wiring is connected to the towing vehicle from the RV for this as well as other purposes when the RV is hitched up.

Exact fit and professional packaging

I needed to replace a relay that had been lost off of my tractor. I had installed an aftermarket wiring harness so that I could run a rear light bar and I didn't ever provide a spot to bolt the relay down. One day I tried to turn my light bar on and found that it didn't, because my boot had knocked the relay out of the socket and it is lost somewhere on my property. The new relays fit perfectly and I now have a few extra pigtail harnesses so I can relay-trigger the pod lights I've installed at the corners.

Great value

These relays worked great, and the value is definitely there. They work great for automotive applications, and i used one to wire up a lift pump in my truck. I'd recommend adding a diode across the relay coil for automotive (DC) applications to prevent a voltage spike when the relay is switched off. This is because the relay coil is an inductor, and when an inductor is switched it off it can't change its current instantly, instead producing a spike -- the diode, instead of your electronics, would dissipate this spike.

Worked perfectly for my application. making the cigarette lighters ( or as the overly PC Millennial might call them a tubular 12V power adapter port) only power during driving. The wire are a higher gauge than needed for most automobile applications but I can't knock them for overkill. As another poster said these things interlock and the seller never even posted that, That's a major selling point only used 2 only needed two but glad I bought the 4 pack! regardless if you actually only need 1 buy these you wont be sorry!

Exactly What is Needed for Foreign Car Backup Camera Installs

Many foreign cars, especially German ones, use an electrical system (canbus) that operates differently than those used domestically. This means that aftermarket backup cameras will not function properly unless a relay such as this is placed in the power circuit of the camera. This product appears to be well made and once installed enabled my aftermarket backup camera to work as designed.

Great value great product.

These are a great value. The relays look to be waterproof and have a mounting hole provided in a metal tab on the top of the relay. The supply socket is well made and fits tightly onto the relay. The wires are about 6" long, this makes them easy to work with. The relay can be used in a normally open or close configuration, which covers every switching need. Clear and easy to follow wiring diagram sent with the relays.

Quality Item!

I created a engine wiring harness for a Dodge Challenger. The original was missing a lot of it'. The relays value and quality, made it much easier to get the rewiring finished in a timely manner. I do recommend these relays for anybody creating their own harness, or adding new circuits to an existing system.

Works great!

Easy to use, these were installed for a back up/rear camera. Work well, and installation was pretty easy. They are a bit larger than expected, but still a good size that is easy to work with. It comes with a small wiring diagram, so you know how to get it set up.

Worked for my Onan 4kw genset

The relay on my Onan 4kw rv generator died. There were no easily searchable substitutes. So, I started searching for the relay parameter that I needed and these popped up...perfect replacement...pain to change out, not technical, just a pain.
