Made a hugh difference in reducing the insect population that camp out on my porch at night. At night when a come home I would walk a creepy gauntlet of flying insects around the porch walls and ceiling before getting through the door. Worried one of more will fly in once I opened the door. After installation of the bulb I was so ecstatic and relieved to see only found 2 spiders and no mosquitos, moths on walls. I would say there was a 98% reduction of insects around my porch using the bulb. One negative, I purchased the amber color and it's not very bright. I would've preferred s brighter light, but it works. I would purchase again.

Awesome front porch light!!
The bulb is white and stays white until you turn it on. A huge plus when you put it under a frosted white or clear light fixture! When it’s on it emits a lovely yellow/amber tone instead of that harsh ugly neon yellow like the others do.

I bought these because they are in the 2000K range which means they produce less blue light than other bulbs. Cutting out blue light before bed helps you sleep better. In my bathroom I installed them in the overhead light fixture and that's what I use at night. During the daytime hours I use the other lights (vanity lights, etc.) that are on a separate switch. I also have them in my nightstand lamps and it's what I use before going to bed. Although the base is a standard A15 size, the bulbs are a lot smaller than a standard bulb. I kinda like this, if only for the simple fact that it's easier to fit into a fixture.

Where have all the bugs gone?
If I could give it 10 stars, I would. I live in the woods high on a hill and keep the corner light on all the time for when I get home after dark. There's been no choice but to walk through a cloud of flying insects, both big and small, and the accompanying quickly-constructed spider webs trying to catch a feast -- until now. I am stunned. I'm not kidding! There's not a *single* insect flying around these lights! I put them in when there was a full moon and thought maybe the bugs were just more attracted to the moon the first couple nights -- but it's been a week and the moon is gone and still no flying critters. The light is very pleasant and casts a much larger lighted area than my previous floodlights. It's not too bright at all but quite light enough to see very well. I will miss seeing the variety of moths on the siding in the mornings (and I'm sure the birds will miss their breakfast), but nonetheless, I'm sticking with these lights.

Small but nice and bright
These bulbs are much smaller compared to a normal light bulb but they pack a great punch. I was very surprised how much light they emit, enough to read under, and the color is very pleasant to the eyes at night. I love the fact that they don't emit blue light, they price is right with an outstanding warranty, and I expect that they will last a long time. I highly recommend them.

It's VERY amber
I got these to help reduce blue light at night to help me sleep (chronic insomnia). I have used light bulbs to help circadian rhythms before, and they were never this yellow. At first I didn't love it because it reminded me of street lights on the interstate HOWEVER the first night of using them I was tired BEFORE I planned on going to bed and I only woke up once in the middle of the night (I usually wake up 3-5). This pattern has continued since I started using these lights ~2 weeks ago. These are more effective than the ones I used before (link at the bottom of this review). If you don't mind your bedroom looking like a sunset I say go for it - they have really helped. https://www.amazon.com/Lighting-Science-FG-02333-Equivalent-Night/dp/B01H1W6B9S/ref=sr_1_18?hvadid=249450189495&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9002071&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1t1&hvqmt=e&hvrand=7588144244454255403&hvtargid=kwd-411125139000&keywords=circadian+light+bulb&qid=1551966253&s=gateway&sr=8-18&tag=googhydr-20

Tiny but mighty
I love these lights, from the moment I put them into my light socket there has already been a reduction in the number of mosquitoes that hang out around my patio, they are smaller than I thought they were originally, I was very surprised that four bulbs could fit in such tiny packaging! I am still using the first bulb as it has promised some very long usage. It worked so impressively from the start that my aunt wants one for her porch as well. Though these bulbs are tiny they are certainly mighty enough to ward off unwanted blood suckers!

No bugs. It's magic!
When going out for a walk on spring and summer evenings I hate coming back to a swarm of night insects around the porch light. They get in my face, and invariably one or two will slip into the house when I let myself in. I don't like that. So I've been leaving the light off, which sort of defeats the purpose of having it in the first place. I had my doubts when I read that these amber light bulbs don't attract them, but lo and behold, no bugs! And at 5 measly watts consumption, I'm tempted to leave the light going all night, every night. That works out to ~22 kWh per year for 12 hour/day usage. In Massachusetts, when all is said and done we pay between 23 and 25 cents per kWh depending on consumption. At 24 cents average that's about $5.25 per year. Your costs will vary, but I'll take it. Oh, did I remember to say No Bugs? Bliss!

Great, bright, but not-too-bright, LED bulb!
These bulbs are amazing. I bought the green ones to put in our porch lights at Christmas and loved them so much I bought the yellow to replace our fluorescent bug lights. They light very quickly, whereas most fluorescents take a minute to "warm up" and reach full brightness. They are not yellow when you take them out of the package, but they're a nice yellow/amber color when lit. I like that they're a 40-watt equivalent because it can be difficult to find a bug light in a lower wattage.

Gets rid of bugs AND helps me sleep!
I never thought I would write a review for a lightbulb, but these things are awesome. I was looking for a yellow colored light for my porch that would keep the bugs away and also reduce light pollution. I put these in about a month ago and they have been perfect. Bugs at our door are reduced about 95% so we don't have to dread opening the door at night and being swarmed. Since they came in a pack of 4 and I only have 3 porch lights, I had one left over. The packaging states that they are good for helping your body rest at night. Being orange they don't give off light in the high-energy blue spectrum (known to interfere with sleep). So I stuck the extra bulb in my bed side table. I noticed a difference the first night! After reading in bed for about 15 minutes I actually started getting drowsy. It usually takes me a good hour to start to fall asleep. It improved my sleep so much I'm getting more for my kids bedrooms so they can also benefit from a better sleep.
