Added this to my HomeKit accessory list. Installed it on patio in one of my 3 fans. Works great, however, if you have a switch that controls the light you’re placing this bulb in, it needs to stay in the on position. The on and off will be controlled by the app, HomeKit app, or Siri. Also, as in my case, you may need a WiFi extender if your bulb is too far from the router. All easy things to deal with but good fyi’s.

My husband and I love this thing. We put it at our front door and always leave the switch on. So we can pull in the driveway and open the app to turn the light on. No more fussing at each other for not leaving the light on for each other. My family thinks we are being extra about it, but hey one less thing to fuss about. 🤷🏼♀️

We have been using Alexa for almost 3 years and add new devices ass needed. We decided to get the new 3rd generation echo dot and it was offered with the LIFX led light bulb. Since it was just $5 more with the echo dot we wanted to give a try. Installation was very easy and it took only 2 minutes to share with Alexa. Unfortunately, the dimming function did my work and amazon customer service solved the issue by sending a replacement. All functions work fine and pairing is very nice. It’s always though to unlock the entry door in dark especially if your hands are full. So we installed it outdoor to control it just before we arrive home. Works great! Second installation of the replacement took a little time but after updating the firmware it joined the smart home network immediate. Just don’t forget to check whether there is an update or not. The item comes very nice packet and instructions are easy to understand. For an outdoor installation the light is more than enough but I would not like it to use in the bedroom office or kitchen. Hallway restroom is a nice place to have it. So far it is working great and I can get another one once I will need. I will update the outdoor usage since the cold winter is hitting our city. Don’t know whether 2 or more bulbs will work together without creating any problems but will experience it soon. Very satisfied so far. Recommend for a cost effective solution.

I gave this as a gift. She has gotten several compliments on it. Works perfectly with the Alexa. Comes with color light options like soft or cool white light. You do have to download a seperate app but it is worth it. She uses the light for her overhead light and only has one lightbulb in it. It is very bright for a master bedroom.

We bought this on a Prime Deal... and fell in love with the product so we bought more. They are all connected to the Echo that is in the room (we have several) and it's fun to play games on each other leaving each other in the dark. Fortunately, Echo fixes it without getting up. As a family, we really enjoy this splurge!

I’ve been using these smart bulbs for hanging lamps. Putting a long plug with a switch midway is annoying. Now I can control the lights from anywhere I want. I use my google mini but you will have to set up through the LIFX app. Next time I plan to buy multicolor bulbs but these did the trick.

Got two of these bulbs for Christmas, and first setting them up was simply not working as many of the reviews in here have stated. However, searching through the troubleshooting pages on the LIFX website I found a couple of things to get them from not working at all to quick, easy, and awesome. 1) not sure if it made a huge difference, but disabling the Airtime Fairness feature in my settings seemed to have helped. 2) I was trying to set my device up a 2.4 Ghz guest network. Instead, enabled a 2.4Ghz non-guest frequency and the bulb connected almost instantly. The bulbs work consistently, the features are amazing, they work seamlessly with HomeKit and Siri. Could not be more pleased with bulbs that I was very skeptical of before I got them setup.

I purchased this as a gift for my grandfather, and I'm now wishing I had kept it. There are a lot of fun features! In addition to 'normal' smart bulb activities, like Alexa voice control, dimming, etc, there are little bonuses in the app. One is strobe light, which could be a fun party trick. Another cool one that I'm picturing as fun at parties is the feature that listens to sound input from the phone and changes the brightness according to volume. So you can sing at your phone and have the lights dance! I also like that unlike other popular brands, this does not require a hub, so you get one bulb and you're good to go.

I have only had it for a week or so, but it seems to work fine. The app that you can download for it is very good and pretty easy to understand. I have my light on a pre defined schedule that is in the app. You give it your time zone and it will automatically determine when your sunset is and turn the light on to your pre defined intensity. Pretty cool. I have mine defined to automatically turn off at midnight, but if you don't set it to turn off at a specific time, I believe it will automatically shut off at sunrise. The sunset and sunrise are automatically adjusted by your location and the time of year. Way cool. You can also set the intensity level from 10% up to 100% by 10% increments. Using a slider scale. You can set various schedules based on days, light velocity, etc. It is also Alexia friendly. I use it with my Alexia on occasion. Cool light and app and a good price.

My dad is loving asking Alexa to turn his lamp on and off. He is having issues with his shoulder and simple tasks have become more difficult like reaching to turn on and off the lamp. I'm going to make sure he really takes to this upgrade then I plan to gift him with more and more smart light bulbs!
