Overall Great Item

I ordered this ice pick primarily for poking/venting potatoes prior to baking them in the microwave. A friend recommended an ice pick rather than a knife or fork. I ordered 2 9-inch and was sent a 9 inch and a 2 inch for some odd reason. This is not an Amazon purchase but a call to Amazon Customer Service made the return very easy The 9 inch ice pick is amazing and makes it so easy to prepare baked potatoes. It is stainless steel and the wood grain is beautiful. I hope to get many years of use from this item. I caution purchasers to beware that the seller may substitute a smaller item. See photo.

This one is great! The cover keeps it clean and safe

I bought this after I cut myself badly with the knife I was using to separate ice that had melted together. This one is great! The cover keeps it clean and safe. The handle is easy to hold and the pick is sharp and strong. This is a perfect solution!

Looks Like It Will Do The Job !

One can only say so much about an ice pick but I don't believe I ever thought I would describe one as exquisitely handsome ... LOL.as this item certainly is. Looks like it'll do the job!

Is my strength the issue?

I have not been able to get the ice pick open to be able to use it at this point in time. I do like the feel of it, so far. I have tried rubber gloves to grip it, but they didn't help. I hope to Increase my stars when I can actually use it. A friend was able to open the ice pick and I am using it almost daily. It is a good tool to have onhand.

Excellent Quality & Function

This is a handsome and well-made ice pick, ideal for normal household use, such as ice trays, ice buckets, and small coolers. The cover screws shut, making it safer. I have no idea what "sheerness" would have to do with tve quality of this product, but I gave it a 5-star rating because I am 100% pleased with this purchase!

Tops!

I was more than impressed with this ice pick for the price. Heavier than I imagined and very good quality - it weighs nearly 3.5 oz on my postal scale. The pick is 9" long when in the wood case and almost 3/4" in diameter. The pick itself is almost 4-1/4" long with a maximum diameter of 3/16". The wood handle/case are nice with brass accents. The pick itself is stainless steel and very securely attached to the handle; it screws in and out of the case. I highly recommend this ice pick if you need one. It's so nice looking I don't worry when I leave it out on my bar.

Nice ice pick.

Very sturdy and heavy. I like that the ice pick is stainless steel. VERY sharp tip. The case is nice for safety when storing or decorative if you want to leave out on a wet bar.

Great buy - Classy

This item is perfect The only negative would be that the ice pick is VERY hard to open on the initial opening; you have to twist open with everything you have. Would be helpful to "open" once before shipping; I thought it was defective; I tried everything to open it, and my husband agreed it was very hard to open the first time.

Does its job breaking ice Pick

I'm an ice bag purchaser. By the time I get my ice home and in the freezer, it is has started melting. This ice pic is so handy to have for breaking up the ice. It even gets those big chunks broken with no issue. It also screws onto its Sheath to keep it safe from poking you or secure from young children. The wood sheath is also very nice and has a classy look to it. Great to have out for entertaining and at your home bar. Love this Ice Pick.
