Was much easier than cleaning and rebuilding the own carburetor. We removed the old and installed the new in about 25 minutes. Pressure washer started on first pull We had been dealing with a sputtering pressure washer for over a year since I left gas in it plus the carburetor was about 8 years d

I was surprised that I could replace the carb on my log splitter for this price. I was actually looking for a kit when I ran across this. I had a damaged gasket so I was happy to see that this carb included the much needed new gaskets. After installing this carburetor I was thinking before I pulled on the cord to start it that it will probably run rough and I will have to adjust the fuel and air needles. First pull and I am "back in business"! Could not be happier as I enjoy the fire from the wood I split today.

As advertised! Cleaned out the fuel tank, installed new parts and 2nd pull it started and ran great. It comes with a automatic choke so you will need to remove the spring on the choke valve if you have a manual choke.

Installed in minutes, gaskets were correct, plug was correct, fired up first pull.... Cheap and far easier than rebuild or repair existing carb. My original carb was fouled up from sitting unused for 5 years with gas in it. Less than 20 bucks later, my power washer runs like new. The plug in the kit looks like some random off brand and appears cheap, and the brand was even painted over with a sharpie, but it works great. The engine runs smooth as silk. I could have probably saved 8 or 10 bucks by rebuilding the old carb, but just buying a bolt-on replacement was a decision I absolutely don’t regret.

Wow. I have never worked on a small engine or anything like that before. My excel pressure washer stopped working and I pulled the carb off of it. It was completely fouled up. No fuel could get through it. Well, this cheap little carburetor only took me a few minutes to install and now my pressure washer works like brand new again! I’m actually pretty excited about it. Got my driveway all cleaned up today. Learned my lesson. Don’t leave gas just sitting in the machine. There’s a little screw on the carb that makes it easy to drain it if you need to before storage. Was pleased to see it came with extra accessories, too, although I’ll continue using the manufacturer recommended spark plug. The extra fuel hose is nice though just in case. What an awesome price.

This is great value for the money. However, I didn't look closely enough at the photograph of the product. If you have an auto choke on your lawnmower (acrivates by hand then it opens by itself), notice that the vertical peg is missing from the choke shaft This peg imoves the choke into closed position for cold start. So I took the choke shaft off my old carb and tried to install it on the new carb so I could use the auto choke. The 2 choke shafts are different diameters and lengths ( old shaft is longer and has a larger diameter . So I drilled the carb shaft opening on the new carb 9/32 ( using shop towel to prevent debris/shavings from entering the carb throat) and also had to shorten the length of the new shaft.( I used a fine hacksaw) then filed the bottom of the shaft so It would fit in the bottom seat. I then smoothed the choke shaft bottom with some 400 grit sand paper and it works fine.

DO NOT USE THE SPARK PLUG in this kit. The spark plug is junk brand and Honda motor are very picky about their spark plugs. Plus if you do use the spark plug then Gap it! The gap on spark plug is way to wide. The fuel filter is cheap plastic. I bet will cause more leaks in long term then what it will prevent. Yes I gave it perfect stars cause carb worked which is why I bought it. Plus not gaskets the. Match up so I used old gaskets.

Last year, my Honda mower would not start, and I foolishly took it to a mower repair shop. They fixed it in one day (said there was water in the bowl) and $60.00 poorer, I was in business for the mowing season. This year, the mower started on the first pull, but at idle, it would surge and not run steadily. This time, I went to YouTube and researched "Honda mower surges" and found several videos on the problem and how to fix it. The one that made most sense to me said that the carburetor jets were clogged and needed to be cleaned out with carburetor cleaner spray and two different size wires, which I do not have. Then, the thought came to me to look for a new carburetor, and I found and bought this one for a fraction of the repair cost. Well, the video makes it look much easier to change out the carburetor than it was, but the next time I have to do it, it will be easier. It took me about 30 minutes to take it apart and install the new carburetor. The mower started on the first pull and runs smoothly at idle. And, it runs much stronger than before when mowing. Not only did this fix the problem, I didn't have to load up the mower in my car, take it to the repair shop and return to pick it up. I'm a happy buyer and would buy again if needed.

So we have a great homelite pressure washeer that sat for awhile with gas in the carb. Needless to say, it needed a carb overhaul or new carb. If you look at youtube vids of folks with the same problem, many have cleaned their carb and still would not run. That alone made it clear a new carb was in our future. Just 15 bucks and a half hour install and believe it or not, started right up on the first pull and every first pull since! Forget about rebuilding and do yourself a favor...just get this carb already. One more thing, helpful to get it up on work table or something for easier access. Also, always use stabile in your gas on small engines. My Honda GCV160 engine runs like brand new!

Combined with YT instruction videos, this kit saved me the $$$ and hassle of having a shop get my mower running again (it stopped during the first Spring mow after a few minutes, and none of the easy solutions suggested online worked to re-start it). Everything fit as it should, carb-cleaner spray worked wonders, and the Honda engine runs like new again. After seeing the crud that built up inside the carb bowl over 2 winters, beginning this Spring I'm feeding my small engines nothing but ethanol-free gas. Tip: be sure you know the exact GV160 engine/carburetor model you have, as there are so many variants. I had to return the first kit I bought because I didn't understand this. I finally removed the original carb & read its model number imprinted on the side, then searched Amazon plus the Honda website for the exact engine/carb model numbers before ordering this kit.
