Excellent Products

I'm personally so absolutely satisfied and extremely happy with these products that got sent to me after I ordered them. They do their job perfectly and I couldn't ask for them to do it any better, on top of that they're much brighter than my factory halogen bulbs were and they're more beneficial towards my battery because they use less energy to keep them running compared to the dimmer halogen bulbs. Also the bright lights that go behind the spare tire turn on whenever you press the brakes which makes it much safer for my vehicle to be driven around! I honestly couldn't recommend any better products as an inexpensive modification to your Jeep Wrangler which also would make it a safer vehicle to be driven around so overall I believe that it's a very wise idea to make an investment in these products.

JK Winter Edition 3rd tail light

I love my 3rd tail light. It was super easy to install. I am a 70 year old woman and I did it by myself although my husband did take the tire off. Took about 10 minutes to install and is a awesome Edison to my new Jeep.

Bright lights, well worth the money!

Bought a wire crimping set.. took about 10 minutes total to get this bad boy hooked up. Cut the existing third tail light plug off and crimped some longer wires to the existing wires on the tire LED light and it was set up. Through some wire conduit around it and looks fantastic. I was actually impressed with the light itself because it isn’t just bulbs in a circle like shown. It actually has a smoked cover over the LEDs that give it a very clean look. Can’t even see it when lights aren’t on, nice touch!

great product, just check your inside wheel diameter from the backside of your spare.

Again, I have to give five stars for easy install and fantastic results. Nothing I encountered was worth taking a star away. I guess I'm lucky with aftermarket 15" wheels on my '03 Wrangler TJ. The rear tire mount is just like stock, but higher to allow my larger diameter tires. Fit is great and just hook up the red wire to the third brake light white and the black wire to the third brake light black wire and that's it! When you test it, don't be a goober like I was and leave the rear gate open while testing. ---The contacts for the third brake light are situated so that you have to have the gate closed for the contacts to work, you idiot! Of course, I was cussing this thing and rechecking my wiring like crazy until I realized my stupidity. Really a cool addition and it's bright as h3\\, so increased safety, to boot!

Not correct unit due to my oversight.

It was easy to install, the brightness is good and seems to be well made. The problem I have and this is partially my fault. The wheels on my Jeep are 15 inch. I wanted to add this to my spare as more of a saftey measure. My YJ Jeep Wrangler did not come with a third brake light. So I was starting completely from scratch. Running the wiring and hooking it up was not an issue. The issue was that the diameter of the LED light ring dies not match the hole openings of the wheels I have. It just sits directly behind the solid part of the wheel. So the light is not visible at night. Let alone in the daytime. Like I said this is partially my fault. The overall diameter of the unit is listed and it fits into my 15 inch wheel. But the actual LED light ring diameter is not listed. I should have questioned and made sure before my purchase. I will have to figure something else out. I believe listing the actual diameter of the light ring in the product description would help people to determine if this is the correct unit for their wheels. I did not give this product a poor rating because of my oversight. I gave it a better rating because it functions how it should and seems to be well made.

Good, bright light, great value!

Great light! Easy, low-buck mod that looks great on any Jeep without a spare tire cover. The product I initially received wasn't working right (some segments wouldn't light up), but the seller was awesome and got me a replacement unit quickly, which works perfectly. When I bought this, there were two options, with and without the plug-and-play wiring. Since this unit isn't technically DOT-approved, I wanted to keep the factory third-taillight and use this in conjunction with that, not in place of that, so that I didn't have any concerns when I was getting the state inspection. Based on feedback from others, that the plug-and-play wiring would use this light ring in place of the factory third brake light, I decided to buy the non-plug-and-play version, and instead bought a weatherproof quick disconnect, that I soldered into the factory wiring, so that the ring could be easily unplugged without affecting anything else. Worked out great!

Great Purchase/Fit

I have 20" wheels on my 2017 JK, this was a very inexpensive, excellent fit and easy to install set of lights. All you do is splice the wires, connect to the 3rd break light wires and you're good to go. I took the wheel/tire off, used the same cable that is connected to the 3rd break light, cut/spliced it, then connected to the cables that come with the LED Ring break lights, I made sure to cut at a length that wouldn't be too long or too short, used electrical tape to cover (gave it a couple layers so water doesn't get in the wires. Tested the LED Ring break light (make sure to close the door as it will not light up with it open), then mounted the wheel/tire back on. Again super easy to install and is a perfect fit, felt like a 4yr old with a new toy. 100% recommend it!

Half the lights are out after 5 months!

For some reason tonight I wanted to check the brake light when I left work. Happened to find out only half the lights work after less than 5 months! Who knows how long they have actually been out? Can't recommend this product. Waste of $$$$ ****Update 10/26/19: Suparee sent a replacement at no charge. I installed it this morning. I’ll monitor and update in a few months. *****Update 10/26/20: One year later and zero issues. The new light has worked perfectly. Updating the rating to 5 stars. Thank you, Suparee!

A cool 3rd brake light for any Jeep.

I was kinda hesitant concerning this product when I first saw it. I liked to concept and did a little research before I took the leap of faith. I have to say, I am loving this product. I have had it on my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sahara for about a month and I can't say enough good things about this item. I have had it on during a down pour of rain as well as up in Tahoe is freezing temperatures and it has consistently worked like a charm. The install took about 30 mins and was plug and play. (Most of that time spent removing my 37 inch tire) I would highly recommend this product if you want something trick and want to get move visibility by removing your stock 3rd brake light.

Easy install and looks really nice

I typically don't write reviews but after comparing the competition on this item I had to help those who are looking as well. This one was a couple extra bucks but I notice a fair amount of benefit vs the cheaper others. 1) the lights and wires are all enclosed rather than having them exposed in the BACK and led lights visible from the FRONT/face side. 2) This model has tinted smoked plastic that the LED will shine through so it stealthy until it is lit. It's a simple design with two wire hookup and you can just tap in to the 12v and ground that is already heading up to the third brake light. Easy install and looks really nice. I would buy again for sure.
