... 60 pound Standard Poodle and her hair mates very easily and this tool
I have a 60 pound Standard Poodle and her hair mates very easily and this tool, which my groomer uses, helps me to keep her as tangled free as possible between trips to the shop. She does not mind me using it, actually it detangles her easier than a comb or brush. Would highly recommend.

I'll take all help for poodle hair!
With two standard poodles, any tool which speeds the hair care process is on my radar. I found this style of rake recommended on a poodle grooming website, did my review research and bought this product. When their coats were longer, I used a pin type brush first (*try one in each hand for thick coats - SO much faster and the dogs love) then this tool. One dog loved it, his brother (with denser hair and less patience) not so much, although he did tolerate for a while. But with this much hair to deal with, I'll take 50% improvement! Used YouTube for technique, and got quite a bit of hair once I found what worked for me and the dogs. Loved - untangles at the roots , thins out those dense coats, easy to hold and seems sturdy, good price Wish- my second poodle loved this more I plan to use this regularly while the coats are shorter to keep everything mat-free as the hair grows.

Great mat comb
This was a game changer for keeping my goldendoodle mat free. She has just about the coarsest, curliest coat I’ve ever seen. It’s not like a poodles or any other goldendoodles I’ve seen. She mats like nothing I’ve ever seen. This plus cowboy magic detangler is the only way I can attempt to grow her hair instead of keeping her shaved which Id rather not be a necessity :(

Not just for poodles😂
Well our guy is obviously not a poodle, but a “poodle comb” was recommended by fellow chow owners. Not sure how I picked this one, pure luck I guess! Our guy came back from vacation with many dreadlocks, matted hair & he lost his brush. I immediately went on amazon to replace it. He’s never been a fan of being brushed but this comb is stealthy. He doesn’t even notice I’m brushing for about 20mins! The little thumb tab really helps with my comfort too! Update 3/16/19: 6 days later, the handle broke. Am sending back for a replacement since I did really like how it worked on tobey’s mats. Hope it was just a defect and the next one will last longer. Will update again.

Does what I need it to do !
My wild child “ Georgia” is an 8 month old Labradoodle. She loves water and she loves rolling in the freshly mowed grass. She’s a mess in every sense of the word😀 As you can imagine her active lifestyle leads to knots and mats in her wavy coat. This rake comb has proven to be a lifesaver for me. She tolerates it better than any other dematting device I’ve tried on her and it does an excellent job of removing the Knots, sticks, twigs, stickers, etc etc from her fur. I want to keep her lovely locks long so I’m very pleased that I purchased this item. ( I’m not so sure Georgia is though 😁)

WORKS!
I have a Goldendoodle with long curly hair that mats around his neck and it is almost impossible to brush once it gets long, so once a year i usually have to have him trimmed short m,uch to my dismay. Now it looks as though Bo can keep his coat because of this tool with a little more time grooming it gets those deep matts out around his neck and ears without any discomfort to pup. When he sees me pick up the rake he comesright over to me. He obviously likes the relief it brings. if you have a long haired dog you need to get one of these rakes.,

Must have for Poodle-like coats
I have a nearly 12 year old toy poodle. She's a rough and tough dog and a serious tom-boy. She acts more like a lab rather than a poodle. But she's also getting old and has some arthritis. So grooming has become a painful part of her day. I knew I had to find something to help with brushing her and getting the leaves, dirt, and tangles out of her coat. I spent one night not long ago investigating different kinds of dematting tools. Of course since this product claimed to be made for poodles I thought it would be the best option. I'm happy to say that this comb really works! The most important thing for me is that I don't need to tug and yank on her coat. I found using a little back and forth action helps loosen and untangle her coat. It did take a little work getting her used to this new tool but we took it slow and after a few days she got accustomed to it. She recently went to her groomer for a full treatment and I have been using this comb daily even tho her normal brush can handle it so she stays in touch with the comb and to keep her coat manageable. If you have a dog with curly hair this is a must have for grooming. I think it could be used in other types of brushing problems. It's well made and sturdy. I did take the advice offered her in another rating to be very careful since the back edges are sharp. I used this first and then use her brush for the final step.

so far so good. I have a couple long haired cats
so far so good. I have a couple long haired cats, one is so so groomed, one does not like to be brushed or combed and she has some mats. the first one let me run this rake through her many times in one sitting, I removed what seemed like a whole other cat. in the last couple days I have removed a bit more hair too. the other cat is and will be more difficult. she likes to drink from the bathroom faucet so I started to easily rake her while she is on the counter. she only allows me to work on her a little at a time before she is done, but we have made a start on the mats. I do cut the mats out once I have them far enough away from her skin though. all in all this seems to get more hair than the other combs I have used and does not fill up as fast as the other type of rake I have.
