We are a non profit organization and had a recent state fire inspector visit us. He recommended upgrading to this type of electrical exit lights (with the lights on the side). I called our electrician and he quoted $75 each. I looked on line and found an average price of $65-75 each. These were two for $66.00, they look wonderful, and very professional. Arrival time was very quick. I recommend these to keep your business up to code. Thank you for such a wonderful product at such an budget saving price.

Overall - great exit lights at a great price - cheaper than replacing just the battery on our previously existing ones!!) Yes - You MUST hook up the battery when you're installing in order for the light that stays on all of the time to work (and charge the battery)... Unfortunately the directions do not include this one little step that leads to a lot of frustration... Here is the companies reply to another reviewer... "It seems that the issue is due to the batteries not being connected. Take in mind that the batteries on these units come disconnected so that they do not get drained during transit. Can you please make sure that the batteries are connected after the installation is complete. Please allow the batteries to charge for at least 48 hours before testing the exit sign. If you continue to experience the same issue, please contact us directly so that we may further assist you. "

Needed to replace the old and non-functioning exit signs for the building. Was hesitant about these at first because they were so much cheaper than the other options. Took a chance and bought one package of two at first. Very happy with the product. They installed quickly and easily and do exactly what they say they do. So I went and ordered several more to update the rest of the building. Highly recommend

Oh, you simply pull the thing apart. One of them required a tremendous amount of force. Had to "fix" a few exit signs in the workplace. It seemed easier to buy entire replacement assemblies than to source the random bulbs or replace broken test switches. It probably took more time to remove the old things than install these. But among the varied methodologies previous electricians employed, the hardest work I had to do was use a step drill bit on one of the 4 locations I fixed. These are cheap, sure, but fairly well made. I'm an electrical engineer and also a product designer. A good bit of thought went into making these and I feel you're getting great value based on the cost and what you're delivered. A negative review complained about longevity - so get a new cheap RC battery. Or a whole replacement assembly. No biggie. If you're doing a new installation, you probably want a proper light box already there to mount this to.

Purchase 8 of these. Had various methods of install on the ones being replaced. Lights had connection options so I was able to install them all. All worked, no issues. As mentioned in other reviews, make sure you hook up the battery, otherwise it will not work. Just purchased 16 more so I can complete our church.

Pretty simple install. Was hoping they might have a knock out along the top, but the units are really too thin for that. Installed surface boxes on the wall to mount them, as they were new installs without previous wiring. Pretty good deal for two combo units.

Just installed. Went up as expected with proper knockouts. LED lights are easy to adjust, just be gentle with them. Time will tell as to longevity of unit and battery.

These are all cheap lights, but at least these are priced right. Better to replace than trying to repair any of these sorts signs.

easy install. Looks good and hopefully battery life will prove to be as lenghty as promised.

Light over exit door with a bi level set of stairs and this combo light fixture takes care of the emergency light needs and a nice EXIT light over the door. I had to run some conduit but this would an easy change out for an existing fixture.
