Super easy to interpret

Super easy to use and read. It comes with easy to understand instructions, in case you need your memory jogged. Unfortunately, within 15 minutes of owning it, I put it in a jar of sanitizing liquid and it bobbed and tapped the glass bottom harder than I’d expected and shattered :( however, I’m gonna chalk that up to my carelessness. My 15 minutes with the hydrometer were awesome.

It does what it is supposed to do!

I'm satisfied with the purchase. Everything arrived intact and on time. The scales and numbers are easy to read on the hydrometer. The cloth satchel and the ABV & Brix conversion chart included in the kit were nice bonuses. No question that the hydrometer must be handled with care, but with proper care and handling there's no reason this kit won't outlast me. :-)

Excellent customer service, and quality product. Would recommend.

This product is great. It's easy to use, comes with varying carry cases for extra security. Only two things that stand out are the tube that the hydrometer it self sits in has two caps instead of being sealed at one end. Be careful that the hydrometer doesn't just fall to the ground. Also a 100 ml graduated cylinder would be more convenient than the 250ml. That's just nitpicking though. Overall for the price and materials supplied I'd highly recommend this product and the supplier. Also I don't think it was mentioned in the description, but the guy, Daniel, sent me a 36 page e-book on brewing with the history, terminology, how to brew different drinks. Also there is am 8 of e-book about how to use the hydrometer and some info on what a dry or medium or sweet mead hydrometer readings should be between. Not going to lie this has been some excellent customer service, to the point where this should be the gold standard. I don't normally write reviews, but I hope someone purchases a hydrometer based on mine. This seller really deserves it.

Great back up hydrometer!

I got this as a replacement for one I dropped and broke, I have since gotten a Tilt wireless hydrometer. I used both on a few batches just to check to ensure the Tilt was accurate and it was now I just use this as a back up in case the batteries die on the Tilt and I don't have another. I do like that it came with a nice bag to store it in as well as a brush to clean it with unlike some others.

Hydrometer worked perfectly!

The meter kit arrived in perfect condition, no damage at all and was carefully wrapped. Instructions were a little confusing for a first time user, but after watching a quick youtube video then rereading the instructions it made a lot more sense, so I really wouldn't say this was the manufacturers fault but maybe me just being a novice. Used this first on a store bought bourbon to practice and check accuracy and it read exactly as the bottle % claimed. I would definitely recommend this hydrometer based on ease of use, price and accuracy.

Easy to use, exactly what I needed.

Using this for mead making. It comes with everything. A bag to hold it, a good carrying case for the hydrometer itself, a flash, a cleaning brush, and instructions. My only complaint is that the flask is kinda big. When making any sort of alcohol, you need to measure gravity. For small batches, taking 250ml can mean you're not going to get enough headspace if you don't return it. If you DO return it, you introduce the possibility of contamination or aeration. The hydrometer has PLENTY of room in the flask. I think having a more narrow flask would be a good improvement.

How does it work?

Already wrote a review. The hydrometer works great. The wine thief is a bit tricky as it leaks fluid when used as directed. A turkey baster works better but is harder to sanitize. Overall, a good experience. Jimbo

Fantastic kit, for a great price.

So I managed to break my hydrometer by having my hands full and didn't notice I was holding the tube upside down and it popped right through the red top and hit the floor. I needed a replacement quick, so shopped here. I found this awesome kit, and the holder it comes in will not repeat my previous mishap. Great value for the money, and great follow up.
