Great product no need to calibrate

This simple tool is great and no need to calibrate. Although i cannot independently confirm its accuracy, i can confirm that it is accurate at least on a relativel level. Rainwater measured 2 ppm on this device and NYC tap water measured 44 ppm on this device. I would recommend this product. Please see my attached water analysis findings.

Love the LARGE readouts

Love the LARGE readouts. Love that it turn green when on safe levels, red when not. Easy to use. Great price. Bought two and both gives the same reading so thats a good sign. Now I use it when I first install new filters so I can track when the filters are not performing optimally.

Much better than my expectations

Surprisingly simple, quick and easy to use. I tested both Refresh and Deep Rock distilled water at 0ppm tds. My well water tested at 142ppm tds and matched nicely with a prior lab report stating the well water was 145ppm tds. Also checked neighbors RO system with added minerals at 24ppm tds and he confirmed with a different meter he used at 22ppm tds. So, very pleased with the tester and its accuracy straight out of the box. Also pleasantly surprised with the very nicely made leather pouch. Certainly worth the money spent for it. Easy to see why there were so many positive reviews for this product.

Take the guesswork out of when it's time to change that filter block.

Love this little TDS meter. Our home has an Reverse Osmosis water purification system. Love it as the water is so very good. But; it does require maintenance with filter replacement and/or/both the membrane every few years. The problem is, how do you know when? The documentation for the R.O. units says ever X number of months do this, and once a year do that. Well, I am sure this is based on how much water has been consumed. Not the real usage. Maybe we use MORE or LESS. OK, that is where this little TDS meter comes in. With this gadget you can tell exactly when it is time to service the R.O. unit. No need to guess any longer as it is right there on this little meter.

Great device but i have work to do in AZ!

I feel like I have failed my family by letting my wife and kids drink filtered refrigerator water via my supposed RO system and getting readings like this! Im constantly making my kids drink water to find out these levels are at dangerous levels. Im feeling like the former Mayor of Flint... i have some work to do guys! The liver has enough filtration in life as it is!

Easy to use, cost effective and give me peace of mind.

I have to say that HoneForest customer service is extremely good. I'm not being paid or compensated and rarely review. They sent us instructions before the tester arrived. Provided great follow-up. AND most importantly their product was a great price, extremely user friendly (my 11 year has been testing) and effective. I would say anyone who has a reverse osmosis system, as I do, should have one of these to test periodically. We have been having problems with our system and the technician who came out used the same type of tester as this one. Highly recommend and provides peace of mind for country folk like myself who don't have city water.

They changed my mind!

After posting the review below, I was contacted by Honeforest, the seller. They gave me some operating tips (that I probably ignored before!) and now the tester works great. So I changed the review from 1 star to 5 stars -- for a good product and a company that works to resolve issues. Even on a relatively inexpensive product like this. I would buy this again, if needed -- now that I know how it works!!! ******************************************************************************* Not sure about the accuracy of this tester. I measured two kinds of water -- tap and reverse osmosis. Got the same reading, and I don't think they should have read the same.

This unit raises my security in knowing my water quality level

I feel more secure in knowing what the condition of the water is in that I am putting in to my body. Anything and everything we put into our bodies affects our health, whether good or bad. Three features that I really appreciate are first, the accuracy of this tester, which is excellent, second is the backlit area which makes reading the numbers much easier, and lastly is the chart on the back. How handy and efficient! I am really glad I chose this unit to purchase.

Works great

It works great. A friend of mine had one and that prompted me to buy one. We used them side by side and they were within 1 ppm of eachother so it was very consistent.

Need a replacement / Awesome customer service!

I liked the function of this tester. Great quality and easy to use. But it just died yesterday after using on 5 different occasions. It could be the battery but I have another tester I bought 4 years ago that's still running strong, haven't done anything to it (battery change or otherwise) and it was even submersed in water accidentally! I cant find a link to contact the seller and the month has just passed for the refund option so maybe they will get in touch after this review and I'll change it. But until then hope it doesn't happen to you. I think this is probably the 1st review I've made in the years of buying on Amazon where I went just beyond the 30 day return time and had an issue with a product. Amazon is the still awesome though... Update (12/6/17) I received an email soon after posting this review about sending a replacement because it comes with a 3 year warranty. The unit was sent to my business address where i had originally ordered it. I didn't remember that's where i had 1st had it sent so when a follow up email from HF asked how it was working i replied i hadnt received it. After figuring out it was sent there they offered to send me another one to my home just for the inconvenience of not having it until i worked there again this coming Jan. So that is amazing customer service! I am definitely satisfied with how HF has gone above and beyond to fix a problem and make me happy so i had to share. Thanks Hone Forest & Camila!
