I own the Bose Mini, a nice Sony, a TDK, and a few other portable blue tooth speakers. I got this for the bathroom since it is water resistant, the Bose is not AND it has track forward/back buttons! We use it in a shower caddy and listen to it during our morning routines/showers. It works well for this and no worries of it getting wet. Why I bought it and enjoy about it - it has back/forward buttons on the unit so I can quickly and easily move through a song, next song, rewind at a touch of the button since we don't keep our phone near us in the shower. None of my other mobile units have that capability, none of the Bose, and most other units I researched on Amazon didn't have those functions. We enjoy being able to easily forward a song on Pandora or XM while listening in the shower just by touching a button. The sound is good for the size, not as good as the Bose, but good for the price and plenty good enough for the shower. I give it a 5 star for sound per size/cost, a 5+ star for features and ease of use, and build quality. For the price and the great features and decent sound along with water resistance, you can't beat it. Having the track back/forward buttons on the unit was the deal maker - apparently that function is too hard to comprehend and implement for Bose and all the other manufacturers out there. Most folks might not be close to their phone or want to pull it out/get it just to forward the track - but can easily do it from the speaker if near it while in the shower, or in the pool, or near water and not wanting to have their phone near them or near the water.

I have 2 other oontz smaller units and I have one for my bedroom and the other for car and recently I decided that its time to try and upgrade to a more powerful unit as there are a number of songs that I am having difficulty hearing on the smaller units. I decided to borrow a JBL unit from a friend, and that box was about 12" long and weights 4x as much, however for a unit that size I heard a lot of music distortions at the louder levels and thought that the size was a bit of a overkill. I then got both this Oontz unit and a Anker and did a comparison - it was absolutly a no-brainer as the Oontz completely blew the Anker out of the water! At max sound (level 15) the Anker was sounding like level 9 compared to the Oontz! Honestly, I am surprised that the former unit has gotten so many (13,000) reviews as Oontz beats them hands down! Anyways, I am very happy with this Oontz Angle 3 Ultra and now I can enjoy my music more as I commute back & forth every day.

This has some great sound for a small speaker and I'm very happy I made this purchase. NOTE: if you plan on watching movies through your Mac, iPad or computer you'll need to do a firmware update so the audio will be in synch. Go to their homepage and look at the black banner on top of the screen; towards the right you will see "Firmware Updates" with a big green arrow pointing down. You will want to download the update specific to your speaker to resolve the audio synch issue. Read through ALL the instructions before you start hooking things up and pairing. There are several steps but at the end, it will resolve the issue. I'm from the era of reel to reel tapes and would record hours of various kinds of music and had many, many reels. In the morning I would start one up and for the rest of the day noodle around the house doing all kinds of things and never needed to touch the system until the tape was over [6 to 8 hours later]. I've missed that. Time goes on and now I have playlists but have not invested in any "small" speakers other than earbud style and, most recently, a high-end noise cancelling pair of headphones for work and sometimes home. I've missed having music playing around the house without being anchored to buds or having an iPod or the iPhone strapped to myself. After reading some of the most recent reviews and also reading those with lowest marks, I made this purchase and received the unit yesterday. For a small, self-contained unit it has amazing sound quality and volume. The system I had in the 70's and 80's had those giant speakers and components with equalizers etc. While that level of fine tuning is not available, it still produces very good sound based on the jazz I've been listening too. Hard rock will come later but I'll wait until I have the second unit I'm ordering today before I speak to that. It really enhances movies watched from the computer. I've been using my headphones when watching but decided to try this speaker last night [which is when I discovered the audio synch issue]. Once that was resolved the experience was very, very good. I'll update this again after I get the second unit and have used/listened to these for a while.

Love it. It has great sound and bass and is not really that big. It is definitely awesome! The pic with a hand is just to show the size is about the size of your hand. Great for travel.

This is not a replacement for a full-on stereo system, it's not meant to be, but the sound quality is surprisingly good(I am not an audiophile). I wanted a bluetooth capable speaker for my kitchen so I could play Amazon Music while I'm cooking. It sits on top of my old Bose cd/radio. I've been using it since Sept 2018 and am very happy with it. I've had zero issues with it. It's approximately the size of a larger tv remote, but triangular instead of flat. It was easy to pair with my Galaxy, and flashes when the battery's low, doesn't take long to charge, and plays while charging, and plays a lot of hours before it needs charging. It has decent bluetooth range as long as there aren't walls between the phone and speaker - more walls, less range. The farthest distance in my house from where oontz is stationed is about 50 feet, sometimes with 1 wall between, no problems. If you just want some good tunes wherever you're at, this is a great little speaker.

Ordered this nice little speaker because ford/lincoln wanted over $350.00 just to fix the software problem on my Lincoln Synch radio. C'mon..... $350.00 to fix a software problem on a system that never really worked correctly?! Instead of giving me a break on the repair (dealer only fix), they tried to get me to trade in. Nothing wrong with the car mechanically. Beautiful car too. But, the smug service lady said the car is older (2011) and the radio is outdated and broken so I should consider trading it in....I'm like What?? Car is paid off. Why in the hell should I consider trading it in & getting back into car payments just for a freakin buggy radio system?! Told her what she could do with her idea & walked out. Enter this little speaker and its' reviews and decided to take the plunge. It's got bluetooth and a built-in mic. Connected to my Iphone, it's got everything my crappy Synch system had. Sound is above acceptable for a unit this size and way above the Iphone speaker. In the car, it's loud enough to hear music & on calls, I hear them and they hear me perfectly. Battery time is excellent. The 20hr battery life description is probably right on the money. I only charge it once per week and I use it daily listening to music while doing chores, sewing or gardening. I've dropped it more than once into my garden sink full of water and it just kept on playing like nothing happened. Better the speaker than my phone I say. : ) All-in-all, this little speaker has proved itself useful, convenient, budget-friendly and sadly more reliable than the piece of crap Lincoln Synch system I was forced into. Any item that can soothe my nerves and help the wallet is alright in my book.

I own both the original and the plus version of the Angle 3 previously released as well the the original OontZ XL model that is almost 5 years old now and they all still work great and I have never had any problems with any of them so I purchased this new Ultra model for my daughter. She is very impressed with the sound quality and loves the look. The white color was the clincher for her. My only issue with this model is that it has the audio lag when viewing a video and is slightly out of sync with peoples lips movements. I understand that the software needs to be updated but that requires a computer and following a download and install procedure. I wish that Cambridge SoundWorks would have corrected this problem before shipping these units out. At the very least offering a quick and easy way to update from a flash drive or simpler method. For anyone who says they do not hear much of a difference between the Plus and the Ultra models I suggest you make sure you are using this speaker properly as the difference in both volume and base is significantly superior on the Ultra model compared to the Plus model.

I've been using the Plus for a few months now and it is great so i gave it to my son. I just got 2 white Ultra's and WOW its really nice. I am a musician so i know good quality sound and demand it. These little speakers in stereo mode are unbelievable, fills my huge kitchen with sound. They are about 20% heavier than the Plus but they are 50% louder and better in every way. I love the fact that i can also use them in dual stereo mode for 2 rooms or camping outside when i am spread out and one just doesn't do it. Also, i can grab one and the wife can have one too. Now the whole family has an OontZ to call their own. Nice product, very happy with this product.

This is my third Bluetooth speaker from Cambridge Soundworks, and I've been very happy with all three of them. This one is the "Angle 3 Ultra" model, which is a nice combination of small-format size and unexpectedly loud and bassy sound. It's not as nice as the JBL Charge 3 Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker (Blue) but that speaker is three times the price. The JBL beats this one in volume, bass, and design/build, but it should when you pay three times the price. This Cambridge Soundworks Angle 3 Ultra may be all you need in many cases. For example, I have the white one which I leave in the shower. It has plenty of power to use while showering, has great sound, and the white seems to resist the build-up of water stains that I always wrestled with when using my previous black models (it looks better in the shower, too!). The speaker has a quality feel, and all the controls and lights are on one side of the device, which is very convenient. The speaker gives rich sound, so much so that you'll possibly be using the equalizer on your player to turn down the lower frequencies, particularly if you are listening to voice. If you are interested, this speaker can also be connected, using the suppied cable, to a second speaker to double the sound output and add some interesting options for playback. That's not what I wanted it for, but it's worth mentioning, and if you download the user manual, you can see how this works. Neat idea. Although it does not come with a case, there are plenty of third-party cases that are designed SPECIFICALLY for this exact model, so you can get a custom fit case for the speaker. Finally, as much as I like this speaker, and I DO, if you want something more powerful and has SUPERB build quality, check out the JBL before you buy. These run at about $120 or so, depending on the color you select, but they are in a league of their own in sound and build quality. Absolutely superb. But if you are looking for a medium-duty speaker that sounds very good, this Cambridge Soundworks 3 Angle Ultra is a great choice. Five stars. 14 watts of power is incredible when this thing is turned up. Sounds like one of those old school boomboxes with the bass response and sound. Battery life is awesome if you're not blasting the volume. Bluetooth and 3.5mm connectivity gives you options. We use ours to connect to our Echo Dot to play music in the nursery and also with our portable projector for a better sound experience. The passive subwoofers provide a nice bass response for such a small speaker. Better sound if you set the speaker up on it's end instead of on the feet. Water resistance is on point and this can be used in all weather conditions without issue. Overall a great little bluetooth speaker.
