A great timesaver!

Forget about those cheaper trailer plug testers if they don't apply a load on the controller. They won't show that the wiring and controller are working without doing so. This instrument applies such resistance, allowing you to assess the status of your wiring and controller easily and accurately. I can't sing the praises of this instrument enough after wasting hours with the cheap alternatives, making me think there was something wrong with my installation of a new controller. I wish I would have invested in this instrument earlier. Lesson learned.

Works with 2020 Ford Ranger

Tried an inexpensive 7 blade trailer socket tester but the truck would not recognize the tester as a trailer when brake was applied even though it seemed to work when the tester was first plugged in. So, I bought this unit and it recognizes the ecu and applies a load. The truck now recognizes the new tester as a trailer and I can test all functions including braking.

This is the best product you can buy to troubleshoot electric brakes at this price. If you think you have issues, you can take it somewhere and pay them or you can buy this and work on it yourself. Great product!

Helps rule out trailer problems

I use this in a professional setting as a automotive mechanic. It can help indicate poor amperage flow, and in multiple situations has prevented the customer from needing to bring their trailer in for diagnosis which is very helpful.

Trouble shooting truck side

This is the best tool I have used so far to find troubles and or test truck side issues for 7 blade connectors. gives nice read out of brake force and you can see indications with out having to run back and forth

Love it. Works great, the long cord is excellent. Like any other tool the operator needs to know exactly what is going on before using, some reviews condemn the tool.

Great Tester

I have purchased several testers over the years. This one beats them all. Has extra long cord so you can sit in driver seat and test all functions. Also detects the ECM.

Fantastic Product!

I'd been having problems with my trailer brakes working intermittently and although I believed the problem was in my truck, I couldn't prove it until I bought the Electric Brake Force Meter. It confirmed that the problem was definitely in my truck. I spoke with someone in manufacturing and he helped me trouble shoot the problem with my truck's connection. I am so happy with the product - I highly recommend it!

Good little test

Makes testing vehicle trailer tow circuitry a whole lot easier. Tester is not too thick or bulky great price will save me time for sure
