Assembly was easy. It looks and feels exactly as I expected ...
The first one came in with missing pieces. I was able to return it with no hassle and a replacement was shipped to me in a few days. Assembly was easy. It looks and feels exactly as I expected from pictures and videos. Everything is heavy duty. Only thing is all two feet of snow melted off my roof before I got a chance to use it. I am fairly certain that I will buy at least 1 extension pole for next year.

Great snow removal
I ordered the snow peeler rake and received it 5 days later. It was very easy to assemble and is very structurally strong. It cuts through the snow on the roof very easily. One thing to watch though: the snow on my roof was slightly crusted so when I cut my first few swaths, the snow traveled down the pole and crashed into me:-). I'm a slow learner and repeated this process a couple of times until I learned to back off. Otherwise I would recommend this device for snow recmoval for any roof. My roof is metal and this did not hang up on the screws as the rake I started with did.

Very well made
Quality stuff! I made my own last year with much thinner pole sections. This puppy is built solid. No snow yet but I'm 100% sure it will work great after using my hone made version with mega deep snow last year over the cascades. Not light but should last years!

Excellent, But Not For Crusty Snow
This is a great innovation. I used it on my camp out in the woods recently. There was about 2.5 to 3 feet of snow built up on the roof because I had not had time to clear it. Unfortunately, there were also two layers of crust in the snow, which made things much more difficult. Still, the Snowpeeler got the job done. Took some muscle, and about an hour. If the snow had all been fresh powder, I would have been done in about 15 minutes. This product works best on steep roofs with fresh powder. Don't kid yourself into thinking it's going to do all the work for you. You still have to muscle it up there. Fully extended, there is a good amount of play in the poles, but that is to be expected. Bottom line is that this is a great product which will save you some work. I just wish it had come with assembly instructions, instead of a note telling me to watch the video on line. Really? That's silly. But otherwise, great product.

Amazing Roof Rake

Outstanding snow removal product
I wish I had purchased this product years ago. I had been using a snow rake, which works well, however it is very labor intensive. The SnowPeeler makes the job so much easier. It is at times difficult to control the plastic chute, however it helps to fairly effortlessly move large volumes of snow. If you live in an area that deposits snow on your roof, do yourself a favor and get one of these. It takes less than half the time to clear my roof than it did with a rake and it requires much less work and effort to do so. Great product, very well designed and crafted. You cannot go wrong with the snow peeler.

looks excellent, haven't used it yet...
I just bought this for use in Northern Minnesota. This thing is solid. I haven't use it yet, but it seems VERY sturdy to me. The extensions are made from 1.37" diameter (3.5cm) Aluminum tubing that has 1.7mm thick walls (that equivalent to about 13.5 gauge). The rectangular "cutter" at the end is made from 5mm thick Aluminum and has nice machined mounting holes. There's a solid piece of Aluminum (solid! serious, it's made from solid Aluminum stock!) that connects the poles to the "rectangular cutter" so you don't have some thin wall aluminum tubing trying to secure the cutter. This is not "flimsy". I have a "snow rake" that has 3/4" diameter poles. That thing is flimsy, and it's actually a good rake. From what I'm seeing, you're getting your money's worth with this product. Again, I haven't used it yet, but if anything's going to do a good job, it's going to be this thing. I killed my arms and wrists trying to use my rake on some 2 foot thick snow that had created an ice dam on my roof. Looking forward to having this as a good option.

Works as advertised
Product works as advertised. It will take some learning & depending of the amount of snow it will take some shoulder muscle strength/agility. We had almost 4ft of packed heavy snow on the roof and did need to get on the roof to reach very parts of the shop roof. Overall a good product for normal roof height. Recommend it based on our experience.
