These have been so effective! I have caught one mouse every night since I started using these. We've been working with an exterminator who basically just places a few glue boards throughout the house. I do not recommend glue boards. First of all, with a glue board, all we could do was hope a mouse would try to run across it. Secondly, many times we would find a glue board with just a patch of fur on it proving that a mouse DID run across it, but got away. Thirdly, the time a glue board actually DID catch a mouse, it was a horrible experince. The little thing just laid there SCREAMING and bleeding. It broke my heart. These CaptSure traps are much more humane AND effective. As other reviewers stated, sometimes they can be tricky to open. If you don't close it all the way, but leave it about four millimeters open, it will be way easier to let the mouse out. Also, cleaning them is a kinda gross. Don't use glue boards. They don't work well, and when they do it's awful. Get these traps. They work.

This is the most genius little trap to get these little furry creatures 🐁 out of your house safely. I'am one that just can not kill anything especially not field mice I get in my area at the condo I live at, so when I saw this I fell in love with the idea of a catch and release. OK- so you get 2 of them & they are also reusable, you just have to clean them out after each catch, cause they do sometimes go to the bathroom in them & it does get dirty as shown. I have included 2 separate photos -of - 2separate rescues. They are both safe and sound, as you can see, totally unharmed. I do want to mention, I don't recommend putting food inside of the trap, like where you see the mouse sitting inside the second photo, some people throw food further down the ramp, (don't), just put in where it tells you in the instructions- reason being, because the littler size guys are sometimes able to get in and out without seting off the trap because they are lighter weight, & they make it out without getting trapped in & they get a meal. 😋. I have left big pieces of cheese in on a few occasions to test this and few times cheese was gone & no mouse. You can read that in the questions portion, someone talks about that, and there is answers to it. So leave the bait in the trap door as recommend, they will go in and they'll keep playing at it to try to get at the bait, and you have a better chance at the door shutting. The bigger ones automatically it shuts, as the weight will set it off. The seller and the company are amazing!!! The best company and sellers I have ever bought from in my life. When you get the product home you get some instructions but you get a email from them with a PDF download file of complete instructions, do's, dont's, they even give you all different information on different types of mice, with pictures of what they look like, so you know what type of mice you have in your home, and give you information on the different types of mice, & what areas these different mice will be in. I 1st messaged the sellers at least 20 times with questions, they got back to me every time. They are so sweet & helpful. I highly recommend this product, if do everything they say in the instructions and be patient-as you might not catch them as fast as some do, or have to find out where they are if you do not yet know, then you won't go wrong. my friends now call me the mouse whisper lol. I'm thankful for this humane product, you see the little faces and they are scared, but when you take them to where you are setting them free, you feel so happy for them when you see them run out free. Oh also I put some small pieces of cheese through the holes on top and push them through with a fork ( I use same fork for this each time & wash it & save it or plastic forks) after each capture so they can have a snack before I take them & let them free, I feel bad they smell the food but cant get to it during there capture, I feed the furry creature before setting it free. Some are scared to eat after they see you, and they are trapped, so i go get dressed - get my keys- & leave it alone & they sometimes do eat. I want to thank this seller, and this company for everything. 5* all the way.

Worked great! Caught "Mickey" on day 4 of my tour de force mouse menu. Little did I know, but some mice can be picky eaters too. Tried cheese the first night with no results. Tried peanut butter the second and third nights with no results. Tried Triscuits the fourth night and it worked like a charm! Woke up to find my adorable little house guest looking bewildered and well fed. I almost wanted to buy a hamster cage and take care of the innocent little guy.

The battle over the kitchen. It was a long battle against the mischievous Mr. Crumbs the mouse. But the battle is over now…... wait. let me give you some backstory first. I just moved into my new house. I loved it! After a year it finally started to feel like home, little did I know I wasn’t the only one who had the same feeling. It started off small like crumbs here and there, I figure my wife was just sneaking pastries\cookies in the kitchen in the middle of the night. Soon after I noticed a hole in my loaf of bread! I was enraged! I had to throw the loaf away and was left sandwich-less! The following day I bought a new loaf and sticky traps, placing them at all the places where the mouse would have to travel to feast on my loaf… two days passed but, he was clever and went through my traps and made it to my loaf once again. Then all was quiet for a week or so, not so much as a crumb. I figured I had won the battle I woke up to screaming!! I ran to the kitchen with my wooden bat in hand ready to defend my wife! She spotted Mr. Crumbs running behind the fridge. After explaining to her that the scream was uncalled for, I prepared for the second battle. I started by cleaning everything with disinfecting wipes and mopping the floors and behind the fridge looking for entryways. I found none. I upped my offense with more sticky traps! Quietness once again returned. I was planning on making these Buffalo Chicken sliders for a gathering I was going to have so I went to the supermarket and bought everything I needed for my fun dinner. “this will be my chance to hit him where it hurts”, Mr. Crumbs though to himself! He ate all around my bread rolls! “This is personal”, I yelled! (My wife told me not to yell in the house). I went to Amazon for help and searched for the best traps and there is where I came across “CaptSure Humane Smart Mouse Trap” I was convinced that this would trick Mr. Crumbs for sure! After reading the recommendations about not leaving any other food lying around I placed my bread and the fridge. And set the traps out and waited. Two days passed, I almost lost hope but then a Snap! I ran to the kitchen! Mr. Crumbs was in the trap, “You bested me” he proclaimed. I jumped with joy. The battle was won! And I am ready for whatever is next! The moral of the story is never stop fighting! I also highly recommend these traps!

This product is the greatest! We had a "Mighty Mouse" that I could not catch for months. I had used another trap that snaps shut and he was still able to get free. Blood and guts were all over the drawer. I can't believe he lived through that. Made us feel terrible. I looked on Amazon and found this trap. They said it may take a while, but I put this out with just a little yummy peanut butter near the vented door and he/she took the bait by the next morning. We were able to release the mouse out into the field. During the next few days, we caught 2 a day - I kept reloading the traps and they kept coming. Now, we are all caught up! I am so happy not to have these wild animals taking over my house. We felt like we were the captives!

Well, I'm really happy I purchased this mouse trap. It's so cruel to use those glue pads...I do not see myself doing that, neither killing them with poison. Tomorrow the super of my building is coming to close the holes on the wall...meanwhile, I wanted to try using a mouse cage. There is a construction next to my building, which is an old factory, and they keep on coming and going lately. I was told mint scares them away...but I'm pretty sure they got used to it...So I decided to try the CaptSure Humane Smart Mouse Trap. I used yesterday and caught one, and today I caught two little babies together. I even feel guilty to split the family...kkkk...But they did have a very nice meal, some parmesan cheese, before relocating to their new home...and then I released them near the river. I would suggest you guys, to make this trap in different light colors, plus clear too. I'll put a water container for them inside, so I can put the trap at night, and free them in the morning...and while some people hate these little creatures... I Thank you for the great idea on using acrylic, and having a good heart. Better not to have them inside my place, and I'm working on that, but NY wouldn't NY without these stories... Here is the pic.

Very easy to set up. It is recommended to use peanut butter. In my home the mice have been eating our candy, and my bird's treats. The candy has been fun size candy bars, and they were chewing open the wrappers. I took a piece of chocolate and sliced it up, placing the slices in the food compartment. I also placed a bit of my bird's treat inside the trap itself, near the food compartment. The trap caught one of the mice 24 hours after setting them up. Now waiting for the other mouse to go into one of the traps. The only two cons I have for this are cleaning is a bit hard, and the release is very sensitive. As I was placing the traps, the slightest movement would cause the lid to close. Be sure to place them in an area where they will not get bumped easily. Or where hopefully someone in your house won't constantly move them. Since the mouse had been in the trap for about 6 hours, there was poop in the trap. I rinsed it out with soapy water, but it was hard getting some of the gunk out. I then placed it in hot soapy water in a bucket and swished it around vigorously. That helped get those last bits out.

This works great! Caught mouse in first hour. It's easy to handle & to set. It's easy to bait and animal can't take bait and run. It's also easy to let the little bugger go, too. I've had problems with a little mouse in my bedroom for weeks! It's left a little 'trail' across my desk, bedside table - eww. Reg traps are awful to use - listening to it snap and hear little critter fighting for life... I just want my home mouse-free. I bought another humane mouse trap, but it didn't work - bait was gone, but no mouse. THIS CaptSure Humane Smart Mouse Trap caught the little culprit in less than an hour. I'll be saving this for the future. Thank you!

45 minutes after I set up my 6 brand new traps I caught my first mouse. Then I caught another one about 24 hours later. I've let them go about 5 miles from here in a nice park with streams and lakes. I hope I caught the "problem" of mice in my house fast enough. I used peanut butter and followed your simple instructions. I'm a huge animal lover and just don't feel right killing these little guys. Thanks for a great humane trap! Just reset them all after reading your PDF. Thank you! Great product!
