I bought this because my tub was clogged and Draino was not doing a good job. I used one of these in the tub and was able to clear it out in one shot. I was surprised by how much I was able to pull out of the pipe. This works way better than pouring Draino every week. Also a lot better for your pipes than using any chemical. I also suggest buying one of those hair catchers to avoid having to use this often.

These things worked like a champ. Both my sink and my bathtub were draining very slowly. I tried everything - the baking soda and vinegar trick and even just pouring hot water down the drain. My apartment complex is slow at fixing things, so I took matters into my own hands. I had no use for the metal snake in the set. The orange ones worked perfectly. I put one down my sink drain, wiggled it around a bit (it got a little stuck) and I pulled out a blonde hairball the size of a golf ball. I don't even know why there was hair in the sink - I guess the previous tenant brushed her hair and washed it down the sink or something. It took 2 more of the plastic wands to get the giant blonde clogs out of my bathtub. If I ever have a clog again, no draino or plumber or necessary. These things are the way to go!

When I pulled the orange plastic spiked strip from the package I was immediately skeptical and felt like all those five star reviews were from people who exist in an alternate universe - probably for those who find success with all the "as seen on tv" merchandise. I was tempted to initiate a return on Amazon but decided that I might as well gamble $9 on the plastic before gambling $200 on a plumber. I slipped the plastic strip down my shower drain and literally FIVE SECONDS LATER I was pulling up gobs and gobs and gobs of hair. HOLY COW!!!!!!!! OHMYGOSH. I can't believe I still have any hair left on my head. SO MUCH REPULSIVE GUNK!!!! I saved my prize hairball on the shower floor to show my husband because I knew he would be as skeptical as I was. We both agree it looks like a small raccoon or a large squirrel lying helplessly on my shower floor. Well done Cooper GTV Drain Snake Clog Remover. Well done. p.s. I STRONGLY recommend you wear gloves before starting and if you have used any chemicals at all you need to wear protective eye wear. A nose plug wouldn't be a bad idea either. It's a grisly, messy, smelly and oh-so-rewarding job.

This little tool is amazing. I was both horrified (at the amount of hair that it removed) & completely impressed at the same time. I have shared some of mine with my family & have vowed to never be without a few of these in my tool box again. The clog removers didn't work, but after very little time using this tool the drain is flowing perfectly. Highly recommend!!

Everything flows perfectly again. I almost puked using this on my drains, seeing the funk that came back up. Out of embarrassment, I did not take any photos. I’m thoroughly disgusted and equally impressed by how easy and effective these little tools were. I used the plastic ones for my sink and the metal one for my shower drain.

I was inspired to look for a product like this after buying a bottle of Liquid Plumber at the grocery store that included a plastic drain snake. I hate using such harsh chemicals, but I couldn't stand the slow drain anymore. Turns out, all I needed was the plastic drain snake! Instead of buying several bottles of unneeded chemicals, I of course turned to Amazon to see if I could find simply the drain snakes - and here they are! I have not used the metal one yet, but I LOVE the plastic ones! Cleaning out a drain is a dirty job, so a disposable option is ideal for me :) I'm sure you could wash them off and use them again if you wanted to, but at such a low price point I'll keep the metal one for the light jobs and use the plastic ones as the one and done. Great product, highly recommend!

My drain had been draining very slowly for the past two months or so. I found these and decided to give them a shot. I mean for $10, who could blame me. As soon as the box arrived, I whipped these bad boys out and straightened them out. They straightened out easily and I decided to go for it. I couldn't take the stopper out of the tub, so I just slid the snake down the drain. It got stuck a little, but slid right in with just a little push. Once I got it most of the way in, it was time to reveal the mess that was clogging my drain. In one quick and easy pull, a three foot ratted mess of hair came out of my drain, which I’ve kindly attached a photo of for your reference. Now, my drain is no longer clogged and I can shower in peace. Highly recommend this product!

Works perfectly fine. The items did come coiled but it did not matter because the tub drain I used them in has the standard P-trap which is curved. Drano was not helping cure our slow drain so my wife asked me if I knew of any other method. This was the only thing I could think of (short of calling a plumber). I unwrapped one of the snakes and set it on the toilet, ready to go. Had another snake nearby that I could unwrap if I felt I needed to use it. Didn't want to contaminate anything I was going to be soon putting in a drawer so everything else was put away. The amount of disgusting gunk that came out of the drain was nauseating. Gloves are a must, mask is a good idea too. As I continued to shove the snake down the drain more detritus continued to come out. After a while I noticed some of the teeth on the snake were being bent back or broken by the tub drain opening. I was somewhat confident I had removed about as much as I was going to but decided to open my backup snake package and give it another shot. Nothing came out with the new snake. I disposed of both snakes along with the gloves in the plastic bag I had placed in the tub. Left it all there so we can have a conversation with the teenager about the necessities of keeping the drain catch in place so this doesn't happen again. Tub drains like it's brand new now.

I've had a slow drain for years, nothing has worked well, drain cleaners would let it drain for about a day then it would slow back up. These things worked first time, I have shall drain holes so it took a bit of effort but it pushed stuff out and pulled stuff out. Drain works better than when I bought this place.

Wow these work great. I used to struggle with a wire coat hangar and now with this it is easy. I just push the plastic down the plug hole and pull out. All the hair and gunk attaches to it and comes right out. Instant and easy way to clear slow draining sinks and no chemicals or plumber call out fees. It is amazing how much nasty stuff is down there and comes out. I literally took one went through about 5 sinks in my house and then threw it away. It is not something you typically need to do often. May be about once every 2 years so this pack will last a long time. You can clean and reuse if you want, but I decided to just toss and save the hassle of cleaning all the gunk.
