Excellent product!

Highly recommend! It took 10 minutes, tops, from opening the package to full assembly. 90 minutes to fully charge the battery. Instructions were easy to follow but detailed. The drone comes almost completely assembled though we only needed to attach the bumpers, install the remote’s batteries and charge the drone battery. This comes with MULTIPLE, identical replacement parts...which makes all the difference when an accident invariably happens. They even included a magnetized screwdriver. I am very impressed with the level of thought and commitment this company put into their product, and they stand behind it with their included 1 yr warranty. Out of the box this drone was balanced, but the instructions do tell you how to make adjustments if needed. Blue lights indicate the front and orange for the back which not only help when flying at night but are also look really cool. Although it says 14+ in age, my 12 Yr old was able to fly it easily (which is saying something since we bought him the top of the line beginners which he broke the 2nd time he flew it and it was rendered unusable). We’ve flown it during the day and at night. Inside and outside. Small and large spaces. It’s very maneuverable, easy to get airborne and easy to land safely and gently. A+. We haven’t tried the app yet or attached the phone holder. That’s next, but we’ve had so much fun with it already that we just haven’t taken the time to try all the options. I highly recommend this product. You won’t be disappointed.

Great Drone for beginners and kids

This is a really great beginners drone, last year I purchased a “Parrot Airborne Night” that was a good drone to use, but this DROCON Drone its a way better in my opinion, for the same price has more features (like remote control and video streaming to your cellphone) and its more fun to use!, I only have it a couple of days and I cannot be more happy!, this should be first drone for everybody. Pros: All available features for the price. The camera is good enough, with decent pictures and video. the battery life nothing out of expected for a drone (8-15 minutes of flying time and 30-45minutes to full recharge), The controllers helps to improve/reduce the learning curve for driving it. Cons: Video streaming can be intermittent sometimes. The battery has to be unplugged and removed to charge. Do not have an on/off switch; to turn it off you have to unplug/remove the battery. It will be better if the drone come as initial with several replacement batteries. This is a MUST Purchase for those who are looking for beginner drone for a decent price.

Stuck in a tree!

Bought this for my husband for Christmas. He took it outside after terrorizing the kids and pets and he got it stuck in a tree. After hours of trying to get it out of the tree we gave up. Fast forward to 3 months later i saw it in the tree and we got it out. He put a back up battery in it and the drone is still in great working condition!!! Steering is very touchy but with practice away from trees he is getting the hang of it

awesome beginner drone!

The drone is very light, so the less windy it is, the better. The camera is good with good picture quality, but the signal can be intermittent at times resulting in a little choppiness. The controller comes with a mount you can put your phone on so you can watch the footage while flying. I found it difficult to fly the drone while watching the camera, so I just gave my phone to one of my kids to watch the camera view while I controlled the drone. A plus is that when taking pictures or videos using the camera, it's already on your phone, so you don't need to transfer the footage to your phone after you fly--it's already there. Also, the camera connection to the phone is a Wi-fi connection, *not* Bluetooth. Once you turn on the drone, it will appear in your "Available Wi-fi Networks" as an option with the prefix "MJX". Once you connect, your phone might complain that it doesn't have an internet connection, which is ok--just accept it and then launch the DROCON app and select "Monitor", and the camera feed should appear right away. From there it's easy to take snapshots or record video. The drone has two speeds--low and high, and while the high speed can be fun, I'd suggest you stick with low speed (which is the default) until you get some experience flying. There is also a "stunt" button which allows you to do flips with the drone, which is fun--especially when you have the camera going. There is also a headless mode, which means that regardless of which way the drone is pointing, the controls are relative to you. That is, when you press left on the stick, the drone will go left from *your* perspective, not the drone's. There is also a one-button return function, in case you get messed up and just want the drone to come back. Pressing the button doesn't mean the drone will come and land right in front of you, rather it will head back in your general direction. Battery life is perhaps 6-8 minutes of continuous flight, and it takes maybe a 30 min. to recharge, so I recommend gettings extra batteries if you intended on flying longer than that. The manual also recommends to take a few minutes between flights for the motors to cool down as well. All in all this is a good starter drone that is a lot of fun.

I think it’s a really good beginner drone to start out with, and it comes with many good features and the staff is really helpful and kind at DROCON, like John, the agent I spoke to who was kind and helping when I asked him questions about my drone.
