Both the Magnetic Diesel Fuel & DEF caps are “by far” better than the factory (plastic) caps that came with my new 2018 RAM Cummins Diesel 2500 Crew Cab! I will be honest, it did take me a bit longer to switch out the factory DEF tether & I am so grateful for the reviews that included the steps in this process. It was a bit “tedious” for me but I’m sure most will have no issues at all. The outcome was worth the extra time it took! Also, there are (2) rubber seals for the diesel cap & I used the wider seal, for it was a bit more “snug” on my RAM. The magnet holds very well if you use the fuel door “hinge” to hold your cap while you fuel. Bottom line, I “highly” reccommend the purchase of the Combo Pack-love it!!

Beautiful products installed in under 2 minutes

Beautiful products installed in under 2 minutes. This included removing the factory original DEF cap from its retention ring and installing the new cap inside the retention ring. Other reviewers have stated that the DEF cap does not fit the retention ring, however it does in fact fit, at least on a 2018 Ram it does. Just need a Flathead screw driver and a decent grip to free it from the factory cap. Take your time. Installing it I just got one side in the groove then using nothing but my hand, to prevent scratches, squeezed the retention ring down onto the new cap.

Stylish.

Looks good, quality anodizing and comes ready to use. Pain in the rear to remove the OEM DEF retaining ring. But I have big hands. Once installed they look good. Seem to be good quality. Not sure if they're worth it tho as nobody sees it but me, and I'm a little nervous about using the magnet on the green cap. Mostly I think that I'll chip paint if I'm not paying attention when I stick it to the side panel. So I'll probably just put it on the bed rail like I did with the original cap before.

A MUST-HAVE for newer diesel trucks!

These both fit perfectly and are much better than what came from the factory! Dodge provides a plastic DEF cap and NOTHING for the Diesel cap, which I find unbelievable on a truck that costs almost $70k!!! The combo pack from RoninFactory is GREAT, high-quality, and is a MUST for everybody who owns a newer diesel truck! The magnet in the Diesel cap is plenty strong enough to hold to the fuel door and the factory plastic tether fits perfectly on the DEF cap. Both fit perfectly in their respective openings. Thank you for making me a VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!

They do the job, and look good doing it!

Well, on the surface, it's just a diesel fuel cap and a DEF cap. But while they have a simple purpose, they look so much better than the OEM plastic pieces. The diesel cap is easy to grab and remove, and the handy magnet holds it securely on the fuel door hinge will filling up. DEF cap fits perfectly. I only have one grumble, and it's nothing to do with these caps but I couldn't get the stupid tether off the factory DEF cap. Pulled too hard, wound up breaking it, so no tether to the new cap. Not a major issue at all, but a minor annoyance. Maybe someone will come up with a replacement tether using stainless cable or something cool.

Good Value, Fits Perfectly.

These fit perfectly on my 2015 Ram, I got it because when I recently purchased the truck I found that the Diesel cap was missing (common occurrence). It is important to note that the "extra" O-ring is NOT an extra. If you read the listing description carefully you will see that it is a slightly larger O-ring that is to be used if the one that comes on the Diesel cap does not fit to your liking. I changed them out and the cap fit much more snugly after doing so. If you have the billet aluminum filler cover the magnet is useless there, but I found that it sticks to the side of the truck no problem. The factory tether for the DEF cap can be difficult to remove, I found it easier to remove the tether and the cap from the truck (it pops out of the plastic inner lining fairly easily and is easy to snap back in) and then use a small flathead screwdriver to carefully pry the retaining ring off the factory cap and it only takes fingers to put it on the replacement cap.

Nice quality. As for removing the tether, just pull it out from the gas filler area. Use a pointy tool to push the tether up through the little slit, work the plastic ring off from the old DEF cap with the same pointy tool, it will bend the old cap slightly. Work the ring open side down onto the new DEF cap (it goes on fairly easy, just be meticulous with it). Make sure you put the tether on correctly or when you push it back into the hole in the gas filler area, the DEF cap will be upside down. Thats it, took me like 5 minutes.

Works Perfect

I got these to insure no moisture or dust gets in my fuel tank due to no cap at the nozzle on a diesel truck. This comes off easily and goes on just as easy. It will keep objects from getting into the nozzle that would eventually get into the fuel tank and avoids moisture or splashed water from getting in the nozzle also. It has an o-ring to make a good seal. Definitely worth it's cost to prevent fuel issues down the road.

Exceeds OEM Quality

This product is well made and met all my expectations for function and appearance. The “O” ring that I used for the product was a little difficult to install, but once on there it is snug and I do not expect any problems with it. This product is definitely an improvement over the one supplied by the manufacturer (New 2018 Ram 3500 6.7 Cummins diesel) and the magnetic feature is a plus that influenced my decision to purchase it.

Awesome

Installed within a few minutes on my 2018 Ram 2500. DIESEL cap utilized o-ring that was pre-installed, smaller o-ring still in package. Take your time with the tether on the DEF cap -- I found it easiest to push the plastic downwards where the tether joins the ring and then working my way around the rest of the DEF Cap. Installed it on the new cap in reverse (Coming form the bottom, onto to the cap). Highly Recommend these, I gave it 4 four stars for 'Value of Money' just because no one will see this but me -- Overall 5 star product. Still can't believe RAM doesn't give you something better than those plastic caps...
