Extremely easy to install.

Definitely one of the easiest meters to install/attach to my new generator. The directions on the packaging was spot on for installing it without the need for tools. I have recommended this meter to my son-in-law to buy and use on his generator and gasoline engines.

Easy and works

Simple to install. Zip tie was not included but I used one I had on hand to secure about 5 wraps on the spark plug wire. I zip-tied the indicator unit to a hydraulic hose on the commercial mower for a simple attachment. I plan to use more of these devices on other machines, but may order from China to save, just takes a while to get here. If and when the battery dies, I'll just record that time in the machine records and start over with a new one so I have a record of total run time. This appears to be a good product, and for my machines, it's a no-brainer.

Works flawlessly

This digital hour meter was used to calculate hours on my Champion generator that didn’t come with a gauge. I was able to successfully hook this up, start to finish including grabbing my tools in 13 minutes. I honestly expected the installation to be a pain!! After 19 minutes, 13 for installation and 6 to test this product works as well if not better than in the description. I definitely suggest this product to anyone that has even bare minimal hand on skills. Now I can keep up with maintenance properly, rather than guessing when the next tune up or oil change is.

Great price and works perfect.

Fast and easy to install and after firing the bike up it worked perfectly. Tested the hour meter against a running stopwatch for 6 mins and registered exactly .1 hour, so it's doing exactly as it should. Several rides later it is still accurate and still going strong. My only wish is that it could be reset so that you can keep a little better track with maintenance, but they are so inexpensive you can just replace if it's that big of a deal.

Great value meter

I installed this hour meter on a small portable generator. It was easy to connect to the spark plug wire and easy to route the wire through the casing. The supplied wire was more than plenty to mount in any location. I have run the generator for 3.8 hours and I kept track of the accuracy of the meter. It's spot on as far as I can determine. Its excellent for the money and makes oil changes easy to remember.

Excellent product at a great price

This thing is awesome. this is literally my 3rd purchase. Putting it on every new gas powered equipment I buy. It is easy to install but you will not know that since the packaging was not really clear. Had to YouTube installation. Finally. the price is great.

Easy to use and accurate

This device is counting hours on our I-power portable generator which needs an oil change after 100 hours. You need to wrap the lead around the spark plug wire 3-4 times and attach the other end to the device by pushing it in a slot. No batteries to install, no setup, it starts counting when I start the machine. Super easy. I wish I could reset the hours to zero but at this price I'm asking too much. Currently we are at 73.4 hours - every 6 minutes it goes up by 0.1 hour.

Simple neat device

Wanted something to track hours on a small 1800W inverter generator. The install took longer than expected, but was due to the location I wanted to install it was over the gas tank which required extra care when drilling the small holes. The lead wire is plenty long and allowed for placement where I wanted it. A few winds of the wire around the sparkplug wire and then attaching it with a simple zip tie, and then pressing the wire into the back of the unit and it was done.

Awesome!!! does exactly what I needed

If you are looking for something to view the running time of your generator this product works great. Easy to install and worked right away. Not sure on the battery life but it does not look to be a replaceable unit so that might be its only downfall.
