I recommend these blankets and the rubber bands highly
I purchased 3 dozen of these blankets and used them for a 4 bedroom house move from one state to another. They worked perfectly, just the right thickness. No rips or tears occurred. I used the giant rubber bands https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0055181AA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 in various sizes to secure them to chairs, dressers, mirror, hutches, paintings. I recommend these blankets and the rubber bands highly. Saved me a lot of money and no damages happened in loading, transit or unloading. The blankets along with the rubber bands were the best combination to solve the problem of the blanket shifting or sliding off the object your trying to protect.

Works brilliantly
Recently decided to combine our two households and rent my house out. We were doing remodel at his house but had to hurry and get my house occupied by renters. Ordered a POD, bought these moving blankets, hired movers to pack it and just use these blankets to protect my furniture. The POD sat in the driveway for 6 weeks in Nov & Dec waiting for the remodel to finish. I was concerned by other reviews that said they transferred dye to the furniture. However, it proved not to be the case for me. With no temperature control or humidity control, the blankets did not transfer any dye whatsoever. The movers asked me where I got the blankets as they thought they were of good quality. They said the commercial ones are far superior, but that these were perfect for short moves in a POD situation where I would not have been able to keep their blankets for all that time. They held up perfectly with no damage at all and I will resell on a local listing site to recoup most of my money since we will not require them any time soon. I would say that the reviews with dye transfer probably had rain issues. They were not chemical smelling, they were not dirty, they came bundled tightly in the packaging. I would totally purchase them again in the future. I bought two different offerings as a test - they were exactly the same product, same brand, same everything. Just choose the lesser expensive if you are looking as there is NO differences.

Yes, You Can Use These For Sound Treatment
I bought these to use ... not for their intended purpose. I like to record stuff, and I've been looking for ways to improve my recording space. I've heard of other people using moving blankets, foam tiles, etc. to improve their space, so I thought I'd give these a try (besides, it's a great excuse to build a blanket fort!). At $5/blanket, I figured these would be the best buy, even if I had leftovers. I ended up using all of them for my little makeshift recoding booth, but I'm pleased with the results. The noise floor for my mic (at the time of the upgrade) fell by a solid 5dbs, which isn't a ton, but enough to make a difference. And then I switched to an XLR mic and my noise floor is right around -80dB, which is plenty if you're working on stuff like audiobooks, where most places req a noise floor that's more like -60dB. (Obviously, there are a bunch of variables that go into your noise floor, so do the best you can with however you use these blankets. I suggest layering. It seems to be working for me.) A few things to be aware of. They DO smell. I washed all of my blankets before using them. This did two things--first, it fluffed up the blankets, which is a plus in my book, considering how I'm using them. And second, just one or two blankets totally filled up the lint trap on my dryer. So be aware and make sure to clean that puppy out! Also. These aren't made from super awesome high-quality fabric. They seem to be fashioned from that sort of disposable "fabric" that you sometimes see in hospitals--like what medical masks are made from, but a more sturdy version. I definitely wouldn't go putting any spare blankets on my bed. My bottom line? If you have a microscopic budget like me and want to improve your recording space, I think these blankets are a great place to get started. They're not the end-all, be-all, but they're adequate as you're building up to bigger and better things. :)

Thick enough at a great price
These blankets were great for us. I researched a lot because I needed to buy blankets for my daughters move since she had to move her belongings into storage for two months before she moved out of state. The local movers used these blanket to wrap the furniture in so we could keep it wrapped for the subsequent out of state move. The mover blankets are thicker but not necessary to be that thick except on one breakable piece of glass furniture where we used one of his. The mover asked me where I got them at this price and said he would be buying some. These packing blankets are thicker than at UHaul and much less expensive. They were perfect for our needs and I was extremely happy. The really thick ones are cost prohibitive and not necessary for everything. We didn't end up with one problem after moving twice. They come air tight and compact. Sure-Max 12 Moving & Packing Blankets - Pro Economy - 80" x 72" (35 lb/dz weight) - Quilted Shipping Furniture Pads Navy Blue and Black

Good Quality, Good Price
Much better quality and far less expensive than what PODS tries to sell you. I'm not sure why people would say they're thin; they're thicker and heavier than any moving blanket I've seen, other than my most recent moving company that had ones similar to this. Perhaps the product got changed out at some point? Not sure. But what I got are great!

So far a great product
This is a stack of 3 doz. that I ordered. They arrived in three large boxes, which I’m also able to use for packing. Each dozen came packaged I. type of plastic (kind of like you would see a bag of rice come in) all stitched up nicely. The only thing I would say is they don’t smell great but I really don’t care as I’m using them to protect my furniture during our move. I’ll comment again after we move about how they hold up.

Washed up great
I have sewed for 40+ years and seen dark fabric colors bleed onto items. I have to store light colored leather furniture in the hot, humid weather of Oklahoma in the summer. And, do not want my things stained. If you think there is no excess coloring, check out the dryer sheet when done, dark blue! I also needed to reuse them and did not want dirty blankets. I first washed the blankets on gentle cycle, found out not necessary. Used, warm water. Then dried on regular temperature. The smell was not completely gone, but much better. Also, the blankets were no longer stiff, much easier to wrap around furniture. I had no problem and will do it again for the next move.

Adequate, medium grade
Now that we opened the box, we were amazed at how much can be stuffed into a box. The blankets are, in my opinion, medium grade thickness/padding. COULD be used for a long haul move if it’s not wrapping something precious or antique. Fine for a short haul/storage unit. I wish that blanket BAGS were available for chairs/side tables and such. It was hard for us to get tape to stick to the material. Better to have twine available.

Great blankets for the price
No, these are not as high quality as a "real" moving blanket as others have noted. But they are significantly less expensive than the denser, higher quality ones and they do an adequate job for light use. I just completed a 70-mile move and used these to wrap and cover my furniture. When I was done they still looked brand new. No fraying, no wear. They didn't have any smell at all, so I don't know if I just got lucky or if the manufacturer changed their process.

Hold up well, serve their purpose.. and thicker than the ones UHaul sells in store.
Stood up to a cross country move and several post move furniture acquisitions. We plan to keep them and use them for anytime we move stuff and I now keep a few of them in my truck for even daily errands to the hardware and other stores to prevent stuff from banging up my truck or have it move around. We have yet to see a tear or hole in them in a couple months of use a couple times a week.
