Well made, well packaged.
This has to be one of the best made and packaged tools I’ve purchased in a while. There’s obviously been a lot of thought put in to the design. Not only is the manual well written, the tool is well packaged. Each threaded shaft is clearly labeled and comes in its own little box so you don’t lose them. Even the little boxes are well made and well labeled! The tool itself seems solid and well made. So far I have used it on large stainless fasteners and it has held up fine. My only complaint is that because the handles are rounded, it’s a bit hard to keep it from spinning as you clamp, but that could just be the position I’m stuck clamping from. Flatter handles would possibly make it easier. The included fasteners are just plated so we will see how they hold up. I’m going to look in to what other tools this company makes, because if they’re like this one then it’s worth buying!

The tool needed to do the job
I had some 5/16 18 nuts that I needed to set and I tried it the cheap way and couldn't get them collapsed enough to anchor properly. My lock washers wouldn't hold the nut from spinning when I tried to tighten them down. I tried it with a ratchet wrench, an impact wrench, etc. Nothing worked. So I paid the money and bought this and I'm real glad I did. It does the job. It works. It makes it easy. It's always nice to have the correct tool for the job you've got to do. I like how the center piece easily removes the tool from the nut once you're done. Very nice tool.

Impressed with quality and ease of use
This is the 3rd nutcert tool I have purchased (1: $20 unit = 30 nuts then it stripped) (2: astro drill attachment, good if used properly but brittle if extra force put on mandrel ... broke 10-24 mandrel) (3: this unit) This unit is well made, I am more impressed with every purchase I make of Tacklife tools. This tool looks like it will survive my abuse. comes with a nice hard case, not shown in the listing the insert remove action is great: draw back center stick, put on nutcert, push center stick down to thread nutcert, stick in your hole, force handles together as much as possible to seat nutcert, draw back center stick to remove. super fast, great design. easy to change mandrels, really dont need tool due to the spring loaded snap in design could not be happier with this product

A Good Pruduct with a Great idea - Rapid Mount & Release
Evidently whoever designed this nutsetter had to have used one before. The inclusion of the rapid mount & release mandrel is a great idea. It is reminiscent of the old Yankee style push-pull screwdriver/drill. To mount a nutsert; pull the center knob fully outward. Place the nutsert in front of the mandrel and push the knob closed. this will spin the mandrel in a clockwise direction, mounting the nutsert and expanding the crimping handles for setting. After setting, simply pull the center knob back out to rapidly unscrew the mandrel from the nutsert. As you can tell, I do recommend this product. A nice selection of both SAE and Metric sizes are included. Great to have around for quick repairs. Side Note: I found that a slight application of light oil makes the nutsetter work a lot better. One word of caution; the center mandrel rotation screw is a ball leadscrew. Make sure you have a captive area to catch the 2 balls when extracting the center rod. .

where was this thing my entire life...
i have never been so excited to use a tool in quite some time! i have always wanted to try rivnuts, but for the longest time they were prohibitively expensive...i used this rivnut gun to make a more secure mounting point for my licence plate bracket i made to not only hold the plate but a rear F-off light as well...these rivnuts are a game changer in the world of automotive customization...this tool will make things so much easier and secure!!

Quality where it counts!
This is an excellent rivet nut tool and I'm continuously impressed with Tacklifes quality line of tools. The tool less chuck is a must have compared to other similar brands I've used and it's easy to find uses for this style of rivet nut gun. I have an older wrangler and a Cherokee and I've managed to find uses for this dozens of times on both Jeeps where it saved me from a week of frustration looking for alternatives that wouldn't do the job half as good. The metric nuts allowed me to repair holes for flares, repair a mount an an exhaust bracket, replace destroyed nutserts behind windshield brackets, add a license plate mount to front bumper etc. Easy to use and a lifesaver of a tool I recommend in any home owners aresenal. Update: The ease of replacing the riveting rods is absolutely awesome. No messing around with tools and the pumping Rod spins the rivet nut lever automatically so after installing a rivnut a simple pull/push of the pump spins the tool off the rivnut with ease. For large projects this can shave off hours of manually twisting a riviter off each nut. Also love the case. Small profile, but the bits are easy to put back when not in use due to the little containers. I dont have to locate unlabeled specifically molded shapes in a hard case to put a bit away. Its the little things... Highly recommended.

ONE KEY FEATURE ON THIS IS WAY BETTER THAN OTHERS
I bought this and another more expensive one that had 1/2 in capacity and I thought was larger. HOWEVER-the guns are virtually identical in every way, even the case-having come from the same factory in China I'm sure. The other one I bought is this one : https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JBNANEE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 After getting both there are a few key differences. This one has a wonderful feature that is the plunger in the middle and it operates totally different than the other more expensive model. It is a plunger that rotates the nutsert die so the nut threads on in less than a second-huge speed advantage for production enviroinment or if you're doing a bunch of them. The other has to be threaded by hand. This one also had more smaller size dies and the other went to 1/2 capacity-but the dies fit both and as I said, it's basically the same tool except that one key feature. The other is not as good a value as this, although if you want 12 mm or 1/2 sae the dies come in that other one. But the center push pull plunger feature is really nice so if you are flexible on die size and don't need more than 3/8 16 this is definitely the one to go with. It is a great value and I will use the 12 mm and 1/2 dies from the other with this that has the plunger feature.

Missing m8? No- it’s on the tool.
I bought another rivnut tool(astro?) And returned it before this one. it was a worse looking design and ha an empty m-8(attatchment tool) case.. This one was with new packaging but ALSO was missing the m-8 tool.. are they the same company? Whats going on? Answer: the missing bit was installed on the tool. My mistake. I have been using this tool all day and its doing a great job- very easy to install rivnut, remove, and install the next.

Have only used a few times but this is an amazing tool. Never knew this existed but it has been very helpful when working on my son's Jeep. Needed to add some bolts to hold accessories in and this was the tool to do it. Feels like it is good quality and should last a while. Feels heavy duty when using it.
