One of the best case for 3ds, ds, and XL variants

This case is the case to get it you have a decent collection! It allows you to bring your charger too which is a huge plus with an extra pen that is comfortable and well made. The only issue is the compartment that holds the 3ds (I have the new 3ds XL) itself. When you attempt to remove it the L and R buttons get caught on the ridge as shown in the photo. Flipping it around helps but then you have issues putting it in, it hinge gets caught on the elastic and when pulling out you tend to open the 3ds. It’s annoying but I can deal with it for the storage, the size and build quality.

but it's nice to have the option

I was looking for a new case to hold my New Nintendo 2DS XL (that's a mouthful) and did some extensive research. There was nothing wrong with my previous case physically, but it was a little smaller and only held the system and a handful of games and nothing else.. I've been actively growing my DS/3DS collection and wanted to be able to take more things with me if I'm traveling or just on the road in general. This case fits exactly what I wanted. First its a hard shell and has a ballistic nylon feel to it. In addition, it hold up to 24 games. I will never play 24 games on the road or on a trip, but it's nice to have the option. Also, it has a zipper compartment on top and is able to hold a portable charger and a 3DS USB charging cable, as well as earbuds. As a bonus, it came with a stylus that is a lot more usable than the short, stubby stylus that came with the 2DS XL. I can't recommend this case enough. As a bonus, the accent color (blue) matches my 2DS XL. If you need a great case, buy it!

Fantastic Fit!

It arrived well packaged and as scheduled. I really like the sturdy feel of it because it really.makes me feel my 3DS XL is safe. It truly holds a lot of games, the charger, an extra large stylus that came with it, and my 3DS XL, even after I put it in a clear protective case. So this carrying case was a great choice, and the cute carrying handle is super convienent. I have had it a few weeks now, and zipper is still holding strong (I've seen issues with other cases and zippers), and I carry this around to work with me 5 days a week, and it's absolutely a great way to carry my DS along with every game I own. In my pic I tried to show that my DS fits in the case perfectly, even in its clear protective cover.

Great case!

I just got my new 2DS XL, and I'm a klutz, so I wanted to make sure I protected the poor thing. This case does exactly what it is supposed to do. No matter how many times I drop it, or the cat knocks it off the sofa, it is always safe. The casing is hard, but also has a little bit of give as a shock absorber. I love that I can store many games within it, and the stylus that comes with the case is way better than the tiny little one that the 2DS came with. It's great!

Plenty of storage and protection for your new Nintendo 2DS XL

I wish I had bought this case first for my Nintendo 2DS XL. Yes, it's larger than some of the other cases on Amazon, but not only does it provide storage for plenty of games (24), but the accessory pouch is roomy enough for headphones, a USB cable, AND the wall charger. The other cases I've tried on Amazon did not have room for the AC adapter. It also has a handy elastic loop for the included large stylus, which is nice since the stylus that stows into the 2DS XL is rather small and awkward if you have large hands like I do. While I wish there were more color options available, the turquoise/blue trim does match the color scheme of the 2DS XL, and there's a felt flap that keeps the games in the storage pouch from scratching the shell of the 2DS. Another nice touch is the strip of leather under the handle to keep your knuckles and fingers from rubbing the harder, coarser material of the case shell

Best DS case I have come across yet!

First off, let me just say. I love, love, love this case. It is the perfect case for the 2ds Xl. I've had 2 other cases I found fairly cheap on ebay, they weren't great. On one the game holders were so tight and close together. This one has nice game pockets, they're tight, but the games go in with ease, and they're spaced out properly! That was a huge plus for me. My other case held 8 games, I'm loving that this holds 24, I only have 16 at the moment so there's still room left and I have my entire collection with me on the go. The front zipper pocket is really nice, the other case I had wouldn't even fit the charger in. Well it would, but it wouldn't close. This one I have the charger, the AR cards and I still have a bit of room left. The case itself feels hard and sturdy and has a handle! I thought the handle would be ugly and cumbersome at first, but it actually comes in handy at times, especially since the case is pretty big. I was gonna say that's the only downside, but it's not really a downside. My old case I could fit in my inside coat pocket, but I could really only hold the DS itself in there. This one obviously doesn't fit in my inside pocket and it's pretty bulky when it's in my big pocket, but having the handle, I don't put it in my pocket as much if I'm running to the car or something. Plus the design is on point. I'm not sure about the orange because I got blue. But the turquoise blue on the case matches the DS perfectly and you get a stylus of the same color. The stylus is really nice to compared to the small one from the 2ds. I liked the small knee, but playing a game like Zuma's Revenge or Bloons Tower Defense, it's really nice to have a large stylus on hand at all times. Overall this is a great case, I can't think of any cons to it (minus the large size, but that's not really a big deal). I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking. It's a bit pricier than others, but it's well worth it.. Wish I would have got this in the first place instead of cycling through cheap ones.

Sturdy and compact

I bought two of these. One for my daughter for her 2DS XL and the other for my New DSXL. Fits both very well. It's well made and sturdy. This case hold everything I need it to, with the convenient zipper pouch and MANY game slots. Cons: The DS's fit super snug, so it can be a little hard to get the DS out. Since it's pretty compact, the games are snug close to each other. Therefore, the game slots are a little shallow and the games like to eventually slide out of their spaces. Personally, I don't like blue. Even with those cons, I love this case and if ever needed, I would definitely buy another... But I would look to see if there is any other colors! EDIT Yes it is made for the 2DS but I use it for my 3DS just fine. To clarify, it is a bit tough to get the 2DS out as well. It is one of the first things my daughter said about it ;)

This DOES fit the 3ds xl (pokemon xy), love it!

Almost returned this yesterday because I read in the questions section that this doesnt fit a 3ds xl. I had thought from the description that it did fit a 3ds xl...and I hadn't been able to fit it yet. Just tried it out it DOES fit a 3ds xl as a travel case with plenty of storage for games.
