Great for special edition 2DSXL users!

Works perfectly for what i wanted. I have the pokeball edition 2DSXL and used to have a tpl soft plastic case but because of the less flexible material and raised textures on the ds, i had to cut a hole in the top in order to fit decently. Then i thought of switching to silicone hoping for a better look and dont regret buying this. Pros: - still shows the pokeball design and stickers i wanted to display (i chose the white skin) - fits snugly - all ports, buttons, cameras, and lights are unhindered by the skin - improves grip - i think it's the perfect thickness - the corners by the hinge do make contact but do not lift each other off the ds during opening or shutting Cons: - there is an unsupported portion above the back 2 cameras that could possibly get rolled down but i havent experienced anything like that yet - although the skin doesn't interfere with the buttons, it does reduce the amount of feedback from the dpad all other buttons feel fine - i have dogs so dog fur gets stuck to it pretty easily. - does not allow to fully shut but nothing annoying - [Edit] the skin also ends above the start, select, and home buttons. i wouldn't consider them important for actual gameplay but it was a bit of a surprise when i tried to pause my game. Might annoy some people. Tl;dr: Perfect for those wanting scratch protection while being able to display your cool, special edition prize especially if its textured. It does have some very minimal drawbacks but nothing that would keep you from enjoying it. I highly recommend this product.

Pretty but...(Edit)

It's a pretty case. 2 separate pieces. Very stretchy but able to shape around the 2DS XL very neatly. However, when both parts are on, it is a little bit of a tight fit around the hinge area. Had a strong chemical-type odor, right out of the plastic. Washed with soap and aired out for a couple days. Okay for temporary use, but the spots around the hinge had me worried, I did not use it for very long. Edit: Fyoung employees are incredibly persistent to the impressing customers who have concerns about the product. Were extremely helpful in trying to receive a good score on item and customer happiness. You WILL NEVER regret purchasing from them if you don't like the item. Quick replies and everything!

They fit well on the 2017 version of the 2DS ...

They fit well on the 2017 version of the 2DS. There is a slight lift because of the silicone and the hinge so doesn’t close all the way. You have to expect it’s not going to be flush because you are putting a cover on it. It does its job. My kids have dropped their DS’ and nothing has happened to them.

Serves its purpose.

I purchased this for my 9-year-old granddaughter for Christmas. She really likes it. It protects the Nintendo 2DS XL from scratches, but does not protect it if dropped.

Worth the purchase.

Case molds perfectly to DS after initially putting it on. It doesn't stay loose fitting even though you have to stretch it a little to put it on. The color is bright and vibrant. Great product for the money.

my son loves how this feels on the 2ds xl - good outer protection without interfeering in the button control. Easy to install and remove

Although the material was a little thin, it is still a great buy. I'll buy another one if this one ever wears out.

At first sight I tought these case was quite thin and that it wouldn't fit tight, but I was wrong, it fits perfectly and it has the variable thicknes depending onthe part it covers.

One Minor Flaw

Love the product. Definitely holds up with consistency. One minor flaw though. The slim strip that sits over the top of the touchscreen is stretched and has a tendency to hang in the way. It's easily dealt with, but it was distracting while playing.

I'm sure it will be better than nothing

It's a 2 piece cover. It doesn't help with grip very much. I bought for my 6yo son. I'm sure it will be better than nothing, but it wasn't what I was hoping for. Nothing was misleading about this whatsoever, it was purely my misunderstanding. This cover came exactly as described and quicker than expected!
