So good
I love this thing so much! My first child didn't get sick until she was 1, so I didn't see the need for something like this. But baby #2 started getting sick at 3 months and giving him medicine around the clock was a total pain. I found this and figured it would't hurt to try it. It has made giving meds so much easier! With this, I can slip into my son's room and give him meds in the middle of the night and he doesn't even fully wake up. We are all happier and get more sleep that way. Downsides: it's kind of a pain to clean, the measurement marks on the outside are washing off, and I haven't found any other syringes that fit the pacifier. Still totally worth it.

Works great!
Love that it’s shaped like the soothie pacifiers and that the hole dispenses the medicine to the side and not straight back. Our daughter has a heart defect and takes a lot of meds. As she has been weaning from using her feeding tube and taking more by mouth, the meds were difficult to give orally. She wouldn’t swallow them without the pacifier to “chase” them. We would try to use her pacifier and do this awkward method of trying to push the syringe along the side of it and some of the medicine would spill out. Since we’ve gotten this, and giving meds has been a breeze.

Wish I had found this sooner--start medicine with this from the beginning!
This is a genius invention, and I really wish I had found this sooner! I found this when my youngest son was 1, and I had already been wrestling two boys for 3 years to take medicine. I think if I had started out with this they wouldn't have the panic that they have when offered medicine; which inevitably leads to most of the medicine on them and me and not in their mouth. I like that it is compatible to any syringe, and that it doesn't have any additional pieces for safety. Be sure that you haven't pushed any medicine to the top of the paci part when you offer it so they don't taste any medicine going in. I will definitely be recommending my friends and family put this on their baby registry (and will likely be purchasing this as a "must have" for my friends having kids). I hope this review helps other desperate mothers out there get medicine into their sick kids!

Amaze Balls!
Love, love, love this little doohickey! Finally able to get our babies reflux meds into her instead of dribbling down her chin and cheeks. Easy to use and assemble, use your bottle pipe cleaner brushes for cleaning. Works great as just the pacifier too 👍🏻 So glad I spend the money on this one. Saves me time and doesn’t waste medications.

Best Purchase Ever
I just got this in yesterday, and I already LOVE it. My 2 month old needs reflux medicine twice a day. The medicine tastes awful, and he spits out most of it every time. I ordered this paci to try to help him get the full dose. It works perfectly. It's like he has no idea he is getting medicine. Totally worth the investment. Not only do I not have to deal with a sticky mess any more, but I know he is getting all the medicine he needs. And when your baby isn't gaining properly because of reflux, you want to do everything possible to help them. I haven't been let down by the Fridababy brand yet.

Medication administration is much easier!
We bought this to give reflux medicine to our 2 month old baby. We use Soothie pacifiers so it has the same shape as the pacifiers he is already used to and he took to this one easily. He swallows a lot more of the medication now that we have this. Even when he won't suck on the pacifier, it at least puts the medicine further back in his mouth so less dribbles out. My only complaint is that the smallest measurement on the syringe it came with is 1.25 mL and he only needed 1 mL. Luckily, the syringe from the pharmacy fit into the pacifier so we just use that. I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it.

If your baby hates taking medicine, BUY THIS NOW!!!
Ok, this is my first Amazon review ever. This should say something, considering the fact that I probably single handedly keep Amazon in business. ;) My 6 month old has RSV right now. It has been miserable. She is constantly needing pain medicine to keep her comfortable. One big problem with that....she absolutely HATES medicine. It does NOT matter what flavor it is. She will start to cry when she sees the syringe coming her way. We even tried to put juice in it, to try and break the stigma she’s developed of associating the syringe with a nasty flavor. She still was a drama queen, spitting and almost choking on it. It was 3 a.m. and I’d been up with her all night. I was desperate so I started googling ideas on how to give a baby medicine. Up pops this fun little device. So I thought “What the heck?” and purchased it. I even paid overnight shipping for it. To be honest, I didn’t expect much. I thought there was no way she would fall for it. The first time I plunged a little bit of it into her mouth she would spit it out and boycott binky’s all together just to avoid that booby trap again. Well, I can pleasantly say that this thing is a miracle worker in my life!!! It hasn’t alleviated ALL of the fight in giving her medicine. There are times when she will notice what’s going on an attempt to spit it out, but it dispenses it towards the back of the mouth so this is much more difficult to do. It says that it bypasses the taste buds and it must, because usually after the initial shock of “what is coming out of my binky?” she really takes the rest down without fighting at all. I was able to give her a full dose of ibuprofen today without a single fight!! This is HUGE for us. Gone are the days of dispensing a little into her cheek and then blowing on her face to get her to swallow. It was traumatic for both of us. I feel like this has changed her view of the syringe. She doesn’t start crying and spitting when she sees it anymore. Thank you Fridababy!! During a time that has been MISERABLE and stressful for us, we have one less thing to worry about. Had to update after a month or so of use. My baby now takes medicine without any hassle at all!! This is my favorite baby item. Buy it!!!!!

Game changer for GERD/reflux baby
This was a game changer for my GERD/reflux newborn baby. She has lots of pain in her esophagus from milk coming back up constantly and we fought with her taking her meds every day to the point where I was in tears trying to get the syringe that came with her Zantac syrup in her cheek to get her to take her meds. Before this pacifier it would take me ten minutes of slowww feeding (and she’s only on just over 1 ml of Zantac) or she would spit up all the precious and expensive medicine. This fits the regular syringe we got from Walgreens with her prescription you do not have to use the syringe that it comes with (most docs recommend you use the syringe you get at the pharmacy to make sure the dose is accurate anyway). With this she actually SUCKS THE MEDS OUT OF THE SYRINGE (caps necessary to express my pure joy) and then I can just remove the syringe part and plug the plunger and she keeps on pacifying herself while she absorbs the meds instead of dribbling her meds everywhere. It seems to prevent her spitting up any of the meds so I know the dose is accurate. One suggestion: give meds 15+ mins ahead of their regular feed so they’re hungrier and have the urge to nurse (unless you need to give your meds at a specific time such as with food as prescribed by a doctor). I want to address few comments about the negative reviews that had initially left me skeptical that I now think are a little silly. Choking: if your baby isn’t going to suck the meds out of the syringe like mine does, then you need to turn the pacifier into their cheek the way you would any other syringe because if you shoot it down the baby’s throat you risk doing so while they’re inhaling. This seems like common sense to me as you wouldn’t shoot a syringe of meds with no pacifier attached into your baby’s throat either. The instructions clearly say to point it into their cheek, which a few reviewers must not have read. Difficulty plugging the pacifier after meds are distributed: I’m not sure what to say about this, I have a very wiggly baby and have had no issues with the attached plug fitting into the pacifier while it’s in her mouth - it may require too hands when she’s peak wiggle mode but it’s worth it to make sure she’s still happily sucking away while the meds absorb. Attaching syringe to pacifier: some reviews say the pacifier does not attach well to the syringe but I have had zero problems with this. I always attach the syringe before offering the pacifier so I won’t be fussing with trying to attach it while she’s sucking. To attach just put the syringe in it’s little hole push and twist slightly to create a seal. Some complain the Pacifier is “floppy”: My month old daughter uses the 0-3 month silicone Soothie Pacifiers and I can hardly tell any difference between this pacifier and those as far as firmness goes. Maybe other reviewers are using other firmer pacifiers - AAP suggests using one piece silicone pacifiers to prevent them breaking off in the child’s mouth and choking and also just in case your child has a latex allergy and this fits the bill for both of those requirements - similar to the Soothie pacifiers.

Best purchase ever!
I was a little skeptical that this worked as well as everyone said it did but it really does! I so highly recommend it. My daughter has a Congenital disorder that requires her to take medication 3-4 times a day. It is super important that she takes the whole dosage. Before we purchase this it was a real struggle. She would always spit out the medicine and it was extremely stressful and took forever. Now it takes two seconds to give her her medication and she takes it all we are more at ease and so is she. I love this product!

So awesome!!!
My son was diagnosed with epilepsy a little over two months ago when he was only four months old. We struggled with administering medications to him for quite some time. He was taking multiple oral medications throughout the day. When we finally discovered this product and tried it out at home we were amazed! He has been successfully taking all of his oral liquid medications without any issues for over 6 weeks now with the MediFrida pacifier. We LOVE this and have purchased 3 !
