Value for money starter sewing kit

Review by the wife - This is a great little sewing kit with lots of items included. The colors of the thread are varied and have matched many items I needed to repair. I am highly impressed, given the price. Would definitely buy again. The one thing I will say is that I was trying to decided originally between this and the one with the pin cushion. I am still happy with this choice but a pin cushion would be handy. Not a big deal though, I'll just just this kit and some scrap material with make one.

High quality accessory

The only thing I didn't love was the rather weak needle threader. Thread is more than adequate. . .it's GORGEOUS, soft, and the best I have seen in decades. The scissors are amazingly good,too. The thimble was a bit too large for me, but I have one which does fit.

Great hand-sewing essentials, few nit-picks

I snagged this thinking the spools would be large enough for a sewing machine. I was wrong! But I still decided to keep this because it's such a gem of an essentials kit, and sometimes you just gotta do stuff by hand. I've referred to this kit several times during my first few projects of re-learning how to sew. The quality of the different products does vary. Most of them are decent to good. The seam ripper is the only item I really have complaints about - it's very thick and not very sharp so it doesn't do a good job of cutting through seams. I ended up replacing this one. Everything else has been perfectly fine. Good color range, lots of interesting additional items (the crochet needle got a chuckle out of me). Would easily recommend this kit to a friend.

Perfect compact kit

I’m not much for sewing, but I have to occasionally for my boyfriends clothes and my dogs toys. Needless to say, I bought this because I needed it, not because I wanted it. But I’m so glad I did! It has everything you could need, it’s compact and the materials are nice (not cheap). The scissors and needles are great. I really am happy with this purchase!

Adore this kit

Thought about building a sewing kit from scratch, then I came across this kit. It's awesome! So many colors, great assortment of needles, and everything in such a tidy little kit. The pins are a little thicker than actual dress pins, but if you only intend to use this for emergencies these should work fine. I'm having fun practicing my hand stitches again.

Completely worth it!

This sewing kit is wonderful! It's large enough to contain everything you could possibly need for quick fixes, but is still small enough to fit in a desk drawer or glove compartment. The selection of thread means that you won't have any issues finding a thread to match the clothing that you're trying to repair. Everything is contained neatly in the kit so you'll always be able to find what you need. Would definitely purchase again and would recommend for anyone looking for a sewing kit for gifts or for any other reason.

Great little sewing kit

I gave this sewing kit to my daughter-in-law for Christmas after she rewuested one. The kit was great and she lived it when she opened it. There were many thread colors and lots of other gadgets in the nice case. Glad I selected this kit to buy. Was thoroughly happy with my purchase.

Great Kit, Everything you need for a quick mending project, Makes a great gift!

I ordered this sewing kit on a whim, for my niece, who just got into her 1st apartment. She was having a little house warming party, and I was looking for a unique and useful house warming gift to give. I came across this little kit and thought it would be perfect. I was hoping that the quality would be good enough to be gift worthy, and I am happy to report it is! This items comes in a leather like zippered case. You unzip it to find 30 colors of thread, and all the essentials you need to mend a pillow, shirt, or blanket. I was super surprised by how sharp the scissors was. In many of the little kits I have gotten over the years, the scissors is usually crappy.....>That is not the case here. This scissors, is small in size, like a kids sized one, or smaller crafting scissors, but its sharp. It gives your thread a nice clean cut which makes it easy to thread the needles. This kit has everything that a person needs for a mending craft. I would definitely buy this again, and will put it on a must give list for any new home owner or bride to be!
