Originally we bought these backpacks for our boys (7 and 5) to use during our summer camping trips. We have to bring in everything we need as the camp ground is about a mile and a half from the road. As they get older we are having them carry more and more. We are having them use them a s school bags to try them out before our first trip. So far they have been great! The straps really help distribute the weight and stop the bags from dropping down their shoulders. The clips that hold the top shut are very easy to use, our 5 year old has zero problems using them on his own. So far they have held up very well, we will update after camping if our opinion changes.

Purchased for my son, 45 inches tall, who is going to TK. This backpack size is for carrying a lunch box, a water bottle and a lightweight jacket. NOT for a homework folder. This backpack has a bottle holder on its both sides and is right size for a Nalgene Glip N Gulp children water bottle. Well made. YKK zipper. Happy with this purchase.

This is a great hiking pack for a young child. It would not be suitable as a "book bag" for school, it is not big enough to carry folders, etc. I bought it for my son to use when we go hiking; he likes to pack his water bottle, binoculars, some snacks and any other odds & ends he can think of. He also uses it to carry some toys and his iPad when we go away from the house. He loves the chest strap and says the backpack is comfortable to wear. It is very durable. The zippers were a little cumbersome at first, but they became easier to open the more we used it.

I contemplated between this mountaintop and the 12 inch for my daughter who is 3. I am glad I went with this one . It is the perfect size for a 3 year old. It is big enough to fit her lunch box and a few extra things. The straps and back are nicely padded and it has the chest strap for back support . The material is nice and sturdy and the color was very nice.

SOOOO stinkin' cute!!! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!! I looked at a ton of backpacks for my 2yo and decided on this one. The blue coloring is beautiful and vibrant, is well made, and seems very durable. It's currently a little big for my son him but I knew that when I purchased it. There is a very similar backpack that's a little smaller made by the same company Mountaintop Kids Toddler Backpack, 31x24x9.5 cm but I wanted something that he could grow into, take to preschool when the time comes, and take on short outings so I didn't have to lug the larger diaper bag/backpack around. A wonderful purchase, I would highly recommend this backpack!!!

The backpack arrived in a timely manner and was well sealed upon opening. It is definitely child size and that it is meant for maybe a preschool or a small Child. The colors are bright and definitely childlike. My son loved the bag but unfortunately it was a little too small for him. It would be perfect for a small child to take to school for preschool or do you keep on hand for short hikes, medical supplies , Or trips to your local library. It is well constructed and durable. If you’re looking for a bag for your little one to use for miscellaneous things like stuffed animals, books, small toys, traveling, Going for a walk, daycare, preschool, and activity bag, or little bag of their own this is perfect.

This has been the perfect backpack for my 7 year old. We homeschool and go on weekly adventures. The chest clip keeps the pack and shoulder straps in place on her when she’s running around. There’s a spot for everything...water bottle, change of clothes, snacks, a toy, and hiking essentials (walkie talkie, bug collector, etc). She hasn’t whined about the shoulder straps hurting her (two other packs bothered her a lot). It seems well made and durable.

This pack is awesome for our 5 year old son. Wish it were just a titch bit bigger to accommodate some books for school in addition to his lunch bag, but as it gets bigger, it might not be as suitable for a tot. Also think it could be made a bit better if it had a nice stable waist strap. But as it's not too heavy, it's not totally necessary. The chest strap is excellent and essential. Tough to find in many other kids back packs. Seems well made, good quality material. And I'm pleased with how much can fit in - blanket, extra clothes, lunch, water bottle... not too bad for a kids size back pack. When we travel, it's got books, games, toys, stuffy, blanket, snack, water. It's just the right size for him now as he heads to Kindergarten. By grade 1 or for sure grade 2 we'll probably have to upgrade to something bigger.

Bought as a toddler backpack since he's out of diapers now. We still need room for a nap-time backup diaper, shoes, a folding travel potty seat/wipes, and a backup set of clothes, and all fit very well in the main pouch. The front pouch is for meds/sunscreen and such. My two year old loves this! He loved it so much, he refused to even try out the other backpack I ordered (it was too small anyway). This one is a bit big on him, but will last him into starting school, easily, especially since it is not juvenile looking.

My son is 3 years old, will be 4 in November. I bought this backpack for him because he starts pre-K3 in August. This is the perfect size for him, is made very well and has plenty of room. I put a letter size folder inside and it fit perfect. He is able to buckle and unbuckle the chest strap with no problem. Love it!
