Quality little machine. Smaller than I expected but huge flavor. I was much happier though because it took up way less space than my Keurig. Way better and cheaper espresso than Starbucks in my opinion. Taking a break from my keurig for awhile. I’m in espresso heaven! I bought this on a lightning deal for an unbelievable price! Couldn’t be happier!

I was considering a $600 espresso machine, but decided on this just because it looked so fast and easy to use. It was a great decision! This little guy and anmilk frothier has turned my $12 a day coconut milk latte habit into a $4 a day coconut latte habit. Yay!

I had previously let the cup-by-cup coffee pod craze pass me by, but after using this machine at an Airbnb where the host provided free coffee, I was hooked. I ordered one as soon as I came home. I have retired the big drip coffee maker and don't miss it at all. The packaging is nice, it makes great coffee, and it's very fast. You get a promo code with the machine for $10 off your next purchase. I do wish the Nespresso pods were more widely available, like Keurig pods are in grocery stores. You have to find what may be the lone Nespresso store in your state--if there even is one, or order online. You'll pay approximately $0.70 per pod, with a minimum order of 10 per sleeve, plus shipping--which is free if you order $35 or more. The pods are recyclable, with free mail-in bags you can order that have a shipping label on them. I don't do espresso--I like what they would call an "Americano" cup of coffee. It's easy to reprogram the Lungo button to make the exact amount of coffee I want, so I don't have to dilute it with hot water. This breaks a taboo for coffee purists, who say this makes the brew bitter. I haven't noticed this alleged problem, but perhaps my palate just isn't that picky, or I'm such a lightweight, preferring pods at the lower end of the intensity scale (which ranges from 4-12). I ordered the bundle package that came with the "Aeroccino" frother, but have not used that yet, as I prefer powdered creamer--another *gasp* departure from purism. Making a coffee with frothed milk would greatly increase the time to get a cup of coffee, and I like how quickly I can be drinking one doing it the way I do it, so buzz off coffee Nazis. My Essenza Mini was a bit long for the tray I use, so I put a block under it to allow it to sit above the ledge of the tray. Save yourself some money and skip buying any of those pod holders on the Nespresso site or even here on Amazon. I also got a very inexpensive clear plastic container form the grocery store to hold some pods on my coffee tray. Finally, I highly recommend the "OriginaLine" vs. the "VertuoLine" for these reasons: 1) Pods are less expensive ($0.70 per pod vs. $1.20) 2) Coffee is produced in a completely different extraction way, pump-pressure on Original vs. centrifuge for Virtuo. Some say pump-pressure makes a more authentic espresso. YMMV. 3) The Virtuo machines only use bar-coded pods, preventing hacking. 4) You can make a "Gran Lungo - Americano" on the original machines by reprogramming the Lungo button, as mentioned above. 5) The entry-level OriginaLine machines are less expensive--and simpler, since there are only two choices of coffee: Espresso (1.35 oz) and Lungo (3.7 oz) per factory settings, which can be changed. 6) The OriniaLine Nespresso pods have 3rd party varieties for sale right here on Amazon (disclaimer: I have not tried any--yet). The VertuoLine is much newer, so there are currently NO 3rd party options--almost certainly the main reason it was launched. 7) There does not appear to be ANY reason to expect Nespresso to discontinue the OrinaLine pods, as they have very deep market penetration, especially in Europe and would leave way too many customers in the lurch.

So far love this thing. I got the fillable cups with the stickers you put over top. Works great. You can then use fresh high quality coffee in there with great results. Even with expensive $20 per 12oz coffee it's still under 50 cents a pod which is better than the 75cents for the name brand ones and about the same as the no name or off brand cups.

After my 3rd Keurig died, I decided it was time to upgrade quality and flavor. I’d used Nespresso machines in hotels in Europe and knew they made terrific espresso. I had a hard time deciding which Nespresso version to buy. After a little research it seemed to me this model did all I needed it to without any unnecessary frills. Thus far, I can say I love the machine. The flavor of the coffees is outstanding. So much richer than anything I’ve ever had fro the Keurig.

I have used a Nespresso D90 Essenza nearly everyday for 11 years with no issues. Recently it started leaking so I bought this Essenza Mini by Breville. Sold brand new by Amazon Prime directly. Received on December 10, 2018. The welcome coffee kit contains 14 pods. The Amazon description states 16. The coffee already expired on November 30, 2018. Manufacture date was January 26, 2018. The $10.00 coffee purchase coupon expired October 1, 2018. When you insert the coffee pod it falls straight down. It needs to be inserted at an angle and held till the lever is closed. If you remove the drip tray the entire front (tray and capsule container) falls apart. Otherwise the machine works fine and I will probably keep it so long as it works. It must have been sitting in a warehouse somewhere for several months. Old unused stock.

If you want real coffee, this is the best option. Coming from using other single cup brewers the quality of this machine is much higher. It is also small so it won't take up a lot of counter top space. Nespresso offers such a wide range of cups that it would be hard to believe if you couldn't find a flavor your like. It includes a sample pack as well, which is nice before you order more cups. The machine is so fast and easy to use as well. Anyone can use this machine.

I bought this machine on a special half-price deal from Amazon. I thought I would use it only a short time while my $2K DeLonghi coffee machine was being repaired. It took 6 months for the repair (DeLonghi is slow to send parts for discontinued machines). The Essenza probably gets used 10 times a day in our house. It warms up fast and quickly makes a great shot of espresso with outstanding crema (if you use good quality coffee). I read some of the negative reviews and haven't experienced any of the issues they highlight. The quality of the machine construction is good (remember I only paid $60 for it - so my expectations weren't high but they were greatly exceeded). It gets used a lot and the last coffee I made with it is as good as the first one I made with the machine. It doesn't require as much "care and feeding" as my big coffee machine. You put water in it, put in a capsule, press a button and you get a good cup of coffee. In all honesty, I like the coffee from the Essenza better than the coffee from the DeLonghi, primarily due to the fact that the Essenza produces a "hotter" cup of coffee. I run the DeLonghi on its highest temperature setting and I still find the coffee from it a little too tepid for my taste. My only real complaint is the cost of the capsules... Nespresso took a page from the "computer printer" playbook. The machines are cheap but the ink cartridges aren't. Fortunately I found that a "well-known" Italian coffee company makes a compatible capsule that cost about 30% less. I tried some of the other compatible capsules on the market and sold by Amazon but L's are the best. Now that I have my mega-buck DeLonghi back (I shouldn't dump on it so much, I like it a lot but its a complicated machine and it did get a lot of use for 3 years before a circuit board went out) I will probably reserve the Essenza for making some of the interesting specialty coffees that Nespresso markets, like the African and Cuban varieties... those are really good btw.

Really, really love this machine. The espresso it pours is lovely and rich with a beautiful crema. It comes with a variation of the espresso pods which allowed me try them all and proceed to order my favorites. The machine is sleek and small but very well made and solid. I am VERY happy with my purchase and will recommend to my other coffee loving friends and family.

I do not write a lot of reviews because I do not feel like it or I do not have the time. I am a very busy man but I must say this product is worth writing about. Its funny but I do not drink coffee. However, I have always loved espressos. They are smooth and get you going fast. A German friend of mine recommended this to me. I do not like the mess or hassle of making espressos. This machine is simply amazing. It takes up zero space and spits out high quality espressos so fast it will make your head spin! I highly recommend it for the people who hate mornings and need to get going fast. I have already bought 100 of my favorite capsules and plan to buy many more. This little guy comes with a variety pack of capsules and lets you try them all. You will know real soon which flavors you love. If I could give this nespresso more than 5 stars I would. I will be buying another one for my accountant buddy in the near future.
