This part worked absolutely perfectly for the "mode" blend door on my Chevy Truck. Prior to replacement, I could not switch between defrost and feet and face. After installation, it worked perfectly. MUCH cheaper than OEM part. Its a bit tricky to replace given its tight location, but definitely doable by the average DIYer. There are youtube videos that show you how to do it. Part needs to be calibrated after installation. Just turn the key on and then off twice (on...not start) and wait. The actuators will cycle to their minimum and maximum ranges and then bam...it'll work.

As of now it’s been in the truck for about 4 weeks area works great and temp matches nicely on the temp reading. 2011 Chevy Silverado with duel temp control. Had to replace this after my battery went absolutely dead this is a common problem it will mess up any actuator unit mine was the passenger the top. Turn key on for 20 seconds watch it move then start the truck you are back in business!!

The actuator itself is a good product and easy to install . As our Yukon has a console, it had to be pushed back which is a bit time consuming but very easy. You do have to unbolt the seats if you have a console and rock them up to pull the console back. The actuator mounts in an awkward area over the tunnel but that's GM"s design. Again it was easy. Once installed, it worked perfectly and solved the problem of the drivers AC turning to max heat out of the vents. I did have to re-calibrate the system but that's only a matter of pulling a fuse and shutting the car on and off a couple of times.

Direct replacement, quick and easy to install. Fixed my no heat on drivers side on my 2005 Chevy Silverado that had been out for years. Don’t forget to recalibrate you HVAC system after install. YouTube is your friend for details.

Auto shops like Advanced and Auto Zone quoted me over $130 for this part. On a whim I looked on amazon. Ordered this, my neighbor installed it after removing the 3 screws that hold it in place. Works like a champ. I now have heat and a/c on the driver side. The problem with this part is all over the Internet. GM should have issued a recall because the problem is so wide spread but did not of course. It was installed in my 2004 Chevy Silverado LS extended cab. BTW a friend had this part installed on his Chevy......by the dealer.....over $400 bill.....ridiculous !

Bought this in July 2018 for my 2005 Yukon K2500 XL LT. Just installed January 2019. This is a superior design over the O.E.M and the Dorman. Here is my assessment why: Took the unit apart to see if it needed grease cleaning off the position feed-back sensor contacts as found in the O.E.M. and one replacement Dorman motor. This motor DOES NOT HAVE THE FEED-BACK SENSOR FINGERS that get electrically shorted by lube grease that flings from the internal exposed gears. As far as I can tell, it has the position sensor function built in to the circuit board; therefore, Not susceptible to electrical shorting by grease carry-over. It is even immune to my negligence of not indexing the gear positions as i took it apart and reassembled it! Installed it and it self corrected my forgetfulness (Yes, I am an Old Fart). I proceeded to clean the grease off the sensor fingers of two other O.E.M. motors and tested them by reinstalling - both worked after the cleaning. I will order Two more of these AA Ignition motors to replace those as I think the AA Ignition units will be more reliable long-term, and while I have my dash already taken apart. This whole repair process is a Huge pain in the butt and I do not want to do it again. I plan on being buried in this my last GM/Yukon.

This fixed the AC in my mom’s 2003 GMC Envoy! After my sister borrowed my mom’s car and ran the battery dead, she jumpstarted it and since then the passenger side air vents would not stop blowing hot hot air on full blast all the time. I checked the car with an OBDII reader and it pulled a code for a faulty air door actuator so I bought this and my dad installed it which was not a real easy task because this part is a bit of a pain to get to (helpful hint: go through the center console. It may seem like a lot of work but it it will be totally worth it in saved time and frustration). Voile! The AC controls now work on driver and passener vents! No more driving around southern California in summer with hot air blasting in her face.

Perfect replacement for my 2004 Silverado driver's side hvac blend door actuator. Just make sure to calibrate the hvac controller by disconnecting your battery for 2 minutes, then remove the hvac fuse for 2 minutes, then turn on the truck and let it run for a minute before adjusting any of the hvac controls

This fit my 05 Silverado easily and did not take long at all to install. It was the actuator just below the manual a/c and heat controls, but lower more like behind the ashtray. For my truck the driver's side air vents were blowing heat after a few minutes of running, when the a/c was set to cold. This part solved the problem and it now works correctly. This actuator is a 5 pin plug. There was a process to removing a fuse and replacing it to calibrate the part. Works perfectly and it has a lifetime warranty.

Worked great for my 2004 Silverado with split climate controls. Took about 20 min to install and about 5-10 min to calibrate the controls. My driver side was either all hot or all cold. Sometimes it would go all the way to hot and not go back to cold until the truck was restarted. This fixed the problem at a great price.
