I tried this last night for the first time. I did baby back ribs just as per their instructions. they were perfectly cooked, tender and moist. but realize that this is like parboiling. no browning or crispy crust. I put low carb b b q sauce on them and slid them into a 500 degree oven for ten minutes to dry out the sauce a bit. very tasty. the next time I will finish them on a hot b b q grill. my next try will be a chuck roast.' will report after that to see if my rating changes. oh by the way, the unit stay relatively cool on the outside. must have good insulation in it.

We love your COSORI 6 Qt Premium 8-in-1 Programmable Multi-Cooker We were surprised when we checked your terms on line and it said that the extended warranty had to be requested within 7 days - The offer that came in the box said 14 days. Your cooker did arrive 14 days ago, but we didn't have an opportunity to use it until last week. Since then, we cooked 2 batches of applesauce, celeriac soup, chili and Vietnamese Pho. We usually cook applesauce in a crock pot over night on High. The Cosori was very quick; only 4 minutes and we used the manual setting at the 2nd level of pressure. We had to guess a bit about the pressure because the only applesauce reference we found was for a 4 minute cook time. For the Celeriac Soup we used 15 minutes at medium pressure. We used the chili setting, but it was a little overcooked because we used canned beans. Most recently, we made a Vietnamese Pho soup where we used the saute feature at 306 F for 5 minutes and then switched to manual at high pressure for 15 minutes. The soup was fantastic and so quick compared to many hours of boiling on the stove. Our Cosori Electric Pressure Cooker is great and much more than we expected! Thanks for designing such a great product.

I'm intimidated by this thing with all the buttons and instructions but I love cooking everything in one pot at the same time so I'll get comfortable with it. The first thing I made was parsleyed potatoes and meatloaf and they came out great. The potatoes went into the bottom then a trivet then the meatloaf placed in a tin foil "boat". I had watched a woman on YouTube make the meatloaf in the pot so I followed her instructions. WOWZA! One pot to wash, delicious food and it's an easy job. I started looking all over the internet, including YouTube, for recipes and made my own book. I also started giving away my crock pots cause this thing is a slow cooker, too. I even gave away my beloved rice cooker! I can clear so much space in my kitchen, now. I'm considering downsizing to an RV so I'll only need my roaster oven, toaster oven, microwave and my COSORI. Can't beat that with a big stick!

I've only had this two weeks and already gave it quite a work out. I've used it as a vegetable steamer, for cooking brown rice, a slow cooker and a pressure cooker. Yes it's big and heavy but it takes the place of 4 appliances and I'm sure I'll find ways to make it take the place of more. I'm collecting recipes and adjusting those I have on hand. This is so easy to use, my husband -- he who burns water -- manages just fine [sticky note on cabinet with "press this..then this...then this"] which is nothing short of a miracle. Very easy to clean! This is my new go-to appliance.

Ok, received it today and tried for the first time.... Hard boiled eggs (yet not boiled)... Put eggs in, two cups water and pressed two buttons.... 7 min. later..... Perfect! Impressed.... Let me play with this and I'll update! #icookcosori Day 5, and 5 days in a row we've used this. Love it. Chicken tacos from a FROZEN block of chicken to red in 15 min.... Last night did baby-back ribs in 32 min... Great!

So far so good! I was impressed with the thickness, quality and shininess of the inner lining. It's so nice that it comes with two seals, the clear lid, two rice spoons, and a steamer basket and clear easy to read instructions! I am upgrading from my old Farberware pressure cooker that came with practically nothing, and no directions or recipes and no manual controls. The old pot also had the non-stick coating that was beginning to wear off. All my other pots and pans are stainless steel, so I am a big believer in stainless. I love pressure cooking because I often don't think about what to fix for dinner until about 5 pm! I'm busy in my studio all day and suddenly BAM! I am hungry. I love that I can throw everything in there and cook it quickly! I also like to plan ahead sometimes, in my saner moments, and make beans ahead of time. Because I am on a low sodium diet, I like to cook my own beans and most of my food. Using a pressure cooker or crock pot makes like easier and neater. I made dinner with it last night and the browning or searing function was much faster and hotter than my old one. I was able to adjust it down a bit so I wouldn't burn my garlic. I love that this has manual controls, which is one reason I chose this model. I also chose it because of the stainless steel liner and the price point. I looked at the Crock-Pot brand, which was $20 cheaper but did not come with the stainless steel liner, didn't have as much manual control, no glass lid, spare sealing ring. I decided it was worth the extra $20 for these features plus a 2-year warranty. I had never heard of the Cosori brand before and was a little worried. So far it is great. It feels and looks very good in quality. Today I'm going to make a cheesecake! Oh, I also ordered a Stack and Cook, which is a set of stainless steel pans you can put inside your pressure cooker. I will be able to use it to cook a cheesecake, steam frozen dumplings and other things. I'm looking forward to playing with that!

There are quite a few of these automated stand-alone pressure cookers available now. The New York Times ran an article about them back on 2/1/17 ("Learning to Cook Under Pressure"). Many of them appear quite similar to one another, but there are definitely differences. It is those very differences upon which you'll choose which pressure cooker to get. So let's go through the basics here: This pressure cooker is nicely designed, with a front panel that works intuitively, and with easily followed directions. The first time I used the cooker, I wanted to make a Japanese Sweet Potato mash. Using the "Steam Potatoes" setting worked perfectly. I followed that up by cooking chestnuts - rather than roasting them, I pressure cooked them for 6 minutes at pressure setting 4. Perfect, easy to peel, and very tasty. Pretty much everything I've cooked has turned out tasty, moist, tender....I'm very pleased. What are the differences you need to focus on: 1) This pot has two tops - the pressure top and a glass top. The glass top allows you to use the cooker as a covered non-pressurized electric cooker. Many pressure cookers don't come with a separate top, so you can still use them as a non-pressurized vessel but can't see in while you're doing it. 2) The food holding pot here is a bright shiny steel pot. On some pressure cookers, the vessel is non-stick. This one isn't. Your own preference may vary. 3) Within this pot sits a steamer basket. Not all pressure cookers come with steamer baskets. 4) This pot has controls allowing you to manually set the pressure level or the temperature. Many pressure cookers do not provide such manual control settings. This is a significant advantage of this particular model. 5) All pressure cookers I've seen have a silicone sealing ring along the inside of the lid. This particular model comes with an extra silicone ring. Typically, these wear out at just about the point that the company no longer makes the ring available, as in my old Cuisinart Commercial model, so it's nice to have a spare. 6) The quick pressure release here works quite rapidly when compared with other models. It's not a big deal, but when you're in the midst of cooking, you always appreciate an extra few seconds here and there. Overall, this is a highly functional and capable pressure cooker with no obvious defects or problems over several months of use.

I have never owned a pressure cooker or slow cooker before, so I did a lot of reading before buying this one. Usually I stick to “name brands” that I know and am familiar with, based on what people were saying about the other two name brands I decided to go with this. First, it lets you override and adjust time, temp., and pressure. I could be wrong but it’s the only one I saw that gives you the ability to adjust all three, most seemed to leave you stuck with a lot of presets. Second, and it seems to be a big one, the exterior never gets hot. I used it for last nights dinner at max temp and max pressure and the exterior was only a little warm to the touch, and I mean a little, I moved it with my bare hands (although you still shouldn’t do that while is pressurized) Speaking of last nights dinner, I have never made nor ever enjoyed beef pot roast in my life, but I found some really delicious sounding recipes and though I would give it a try to see for myself (you know that saying about if you don’t like sushi it’s because you’ve never had good sushi) I followed the recipe, took about 12-14 minutes to heat up and pressurize, cooked the roast with vegetables for 60 minutes, took right at 20 minutes to depressurize and dinner was ready, and it was AMAZING. Sounds like I’m exaggerating but I’m not. Meat was very juicy very tender-no knives needed and seemed to be infused with flavor, vegetables were also delicious, we literally pigged out. Having an entire meal cook in one pot is also extremely convenient as normally there will be 4 pots on stove, something in oven etc. In some of the reviews people are asking for more recipes, but honestly I googled it and there are thousands of recipes to choose from. Even though it’s a different brand name it should be fine, and again unlike other cookers if it’s not ok the first time, you can make manual adjustments to your preference. (When making the pot roast there were recipes calling for anywhere from 60 minutes to an hour and a half) so I guessed, knowing I could always cook it longer if need be.

I am new to using Pressure Cookers, but researched throughly online and then watched a lot of YouTubes and Pinterest before choosing Cosori 6 QT Pressure Cooker. I was drawn by the cost that included extra accessories and seemed very similar to the leading competitors brand. I was very excited when the Cosori Pressure Cooker arrived and unpacked it right away and was making boiled eggs in Pressure Cooker within 15 minutes of unpacking and have used the Pressure Cooker to make dinner every night. I love the heavy inner pot, it’s very durable and includes measurements up the side. Meat cooks in no time and prep is easy. I love it! My next dinner is going to be ribs, I can’t wait. Ever meat cooked so far has been fork tender and delicious. And the stock or sauce which every I decide to go with is chalked with flavor, just add vegetables in that juice or sauce and you can have dinner in as little as 30 minutes or less in some cases. And the cooking smells make the house smell wonderful. This is my favorite cooking pot right now, and replaces my rice cooker, steamer, fry pan, sauce pan, slow cooker and microwave. All I need is my coffee pot, toaster and blender,

This pot does it all! I love this thing it is so easy to use the book is very helpful with step by step instructions.I have made beef stew & chili using slow cooker and I will tell you my potatoes and carrot were fork tender perfect not falling apart like with old slow cooker. The stew meat was also very tender. I cooked pot roast and potatoes in pressure cooker mode wow it cooks so fast you can cook 2 separate meals in like 2 hours and then put something in slow cooker for later and frezze other 2 meals for later in the week. Read the little book this cooker will make cooking so much easier. I bought the 8 qt for my niece and her family she loves hers also. Out of the box it's so easy lift flap on top of box there is a handle to pull box out very nice. Does not get hot hot on outside while in use. Loud beep when temp reach and when done. The cooker kicked in to warm as soon as cook time is done you are good for 6 hours if everyone cannot eat at same time NO BOIL! Love stainless steel inside pan unstead of heavy crock. Easy clean 2 lids one for crock one for pressure, extra rubber ring for pressure lid plus steamer basket and rice measuring cup and spoons come with both 6qt & 8 qt. Lots to do with this cooker.
