Works great

I bought this mat along with the Petmate 3lbs feeder and 3/4 gallon waterer and works perfectly! Had a strong plastic smell when taken out of the package but quickly dissipated after being handwashed with hot water and dish detergent. It’s a little thinner than I expected but that’s not a huge deal. I needed something water resistant to protect my wood floor and this does it! Definitely worth the price!

Worth it!

I like these mats. They do the job. Great for a minimalist thats had enough of water on the floor. Easy clean, great material and price. However u do see water marks on the mat. They show up white on the black mat. Can see this issue being eliminated with lighter color options. I have small elderly dogs that arent too messy but i wanted to designate their water areas with a black mat to make it easier to locate...and i also have one Rhodesian Ridgeback that half the water ends up on the floor. These mats definitely help make life a little tidier.

Problems solved

Loving this mat. I have a cat that has spent his entire 3 year life attempting to make mine miserable in new and unusual ways. The last 2.5 years he's had an obsession with knocking over his water, dish full or otherwise. We've been through 5 dishes of various types and I'm pretty sure I need a new carpet pad. However this mat, plus the ceramic bowl I found the same day has eliminated this behavior completely. We've never gone an entire week without a wet carpet until I purchased this... It's now been 3 weeks and no water spilled. Our other cat likes to pull her dry food out of the food dish and eat it off the floor. What she doesn't eat she "hides" under the dish. We have light brown carpets so it's hard to see the food when she does this, and even harder to keep clean. With this mat she's perfectly happy if I just put a small amount of her food directly on it and she isn't attempting to hide it any longer. Edit as of 5/31/19. We've had exactly two water mishaps since purchasing this product. Neither resulted in any major spillage. All he managed to do was scoot the dish halfway over the lip of the mat before giving up. I still very highly recommend this product! It's also super easy to clean, which is a life saver with hoarder cat 😅

18"L x 11"W silicone food mat

Love this pet mat; it has a small lip about eighth to quarter inch. Depth of lip could be a bit deeper if you have cats that make mess when they eat dry food. No smell because it's food grade silicone. Included a pic of a bowl & catit water fountain on it. As you can see they both fit. The color isn't red though, more like coral color. Love the catit fountain too.

This product saved my sanity

Love this!!! I bought a second one the day the first one came in. I use it for my cats water fountain and food dishes. It stops my turkey head of a cat from both toppling over the 100oz water fountain we have (and destroying our floors) and flinging the food dish across the kitchen when he realizes he ate all of his food and gets mad at himself. I'm so happy I made this purchase. I was on the brink of insanity trying to figure out how to get my meatball to stop dumping his water fountain, I tried everything, including screwing the dang thing into the cabinets and he some how (????) Figured out how to do it. If you're thinking about buying this item, do it. You won't regret it, and what's a couple of dollars?

Great mat for pet food and water bowls.

My cat likes to sightsee when she's eating so food bits get all over the floor. She gets wet and dry food everywhere. This catches the crumbs and makes clean up a breeze. It's floppy so the best way to pick this up is to roll it up. If they get water on it, you need to wipe up the water first then pick it up otherwise the water will roll off. Nothing really sticks to it. It washes well and dries quickly in a dish rack. The pink is a vibrant bubble gum color. My cat also likes to sit on her mat so it's got her seal of approval. I will be picking up a few more of these for the dog too. I do not use this for the water bowl as I keep her fountain and other water bowls separate from food. If your pet doesn't spill, drool or splash around you could use it for water. Because it's floppy you will need to wipe up spills before lifting it. I didn't deduct stars as I got this for food particles.

Would definitely buy again if I decided to rescue more

No idea why some people are complaining These will be great As you see the end it curled up but that will go down. They are packed rounded up. But turned them over to help flatten them out faster. Have a rim and are not thin like some people are saying. But they are not made for vigorous eaters. These are for my cats To keep their moist food on the mat and the bowl will not be pushed over they stuff that gets out. Moon plays in water and so this will help keep the water on the mat not everywhere else. And cats do push the dry food up over the far side, so these will help keep the food on the mat not every like pushed on to the floor which Sadie would absolutely love. She’s my vacuum on 4 legs. But I’m going to use these for my cats. Sam and Sam have doggie silicone mats. They even have a paw print on them. Love the color choices. Get a boot tray if your animal go crazy at meal time. I used boot trays many time for some. And if you dogs or cats play tug-a-war these will not hold up for that. These at food mats, that’s what they was made for

Exactly what I was expecting

This mat is exactly what you would expect it to be. It’s a great size. I’m using it for a cat. The bowls in the picture are about the size of a cereal bowl. It is water proof which is what I wanted as my dogs sometimes run into the cat bowl and spill the water. It was causing rings on my wood floors so this is a great solution at a reasonable price. It may be a tad small for larger dogs. I don’t think this would work for my dog bowls but for cats or smaller dogs it’s perfect.

No more spills!

This is perfect for my little schnauzer. She's a spirited eater and tends to race towards her bowl when it's dinner time, often spilling the water or food. This mat has a slightly raised ridge to hold spills inside the perimeter of the mat itself which is what I was looking for. I bought one red and one pink since my two girls are color-coded to make things easy in our very busy lives. If you have trouble with messy eaters, this is for you!

Great food mat

I like this pet food mat for my 8 month old kittens. It has enough space for their water bowl and both feeding bowls. When it came it did have a slight smell but I washed it and it went away. It is great with the water bowl because that was starting to warp my floor. Kittens were apprehensive at first but they are fine with it now. Highly recommend.
