I can’t say enough good about this pot
I can’t say enough good about this pot. I debated back and forth between the Instant Pot brand and this one won because it was the better value and from what I researched, the same quality. I had a stove top pressure cooker that I was always too nervous to put into regular rotation but I missed the ease, quickness and tenderness that a pressure cooker imparts so I made the jump into the electric pressure cooker world. I’ve used it at least 15 times since I bought it in January to make everything from boiled eggs to stews and the results are wonderful. I love that the Cosori comes with a regular glass lid and extra sealing ring and it was still way cheaper than the other brand. While a lot of the modern EP recipes are geared specifically to the instant pot community, they are easily transcribable so it only takes a little extra effort and you’re off to the races. Overall I’m very happy and don’t regret my purchase and I’m confident it will hold up for the next few decades.

Good customer support!
This is our first pressure/slow cooker. It didn't work properly. We chose the eight quart model. It didn't work when we tried it. I contacted Cosari customer support and they sent out a new unit right away which works properly. We started with steaming some potatoes. It worked great. Real easy and moist. We're looking forward to trying some of the great recipes they included. Happy so far!

we both enjoy knowing what is in our meals and knowing that ...
In our home scratch cooking is not an option. My wife and I grew up in family life which included Mom cooking meals from scratch. we both enjoy knowing what is in our meals and knowing that we can pronounce the ingredients list. There have been many times when we have wished we had a one pan option for cooking. Enter the Cosori One-Pot Purchased this right after Christmas 2017 and it now a permanent, all be it large, kitchen fixture which has simplified meal prep. There is a long list of features which the Cosori can perform. We are impressed with many of the features of the Cosori especially the ability to prepare perfect fluffy rice, al dente pasta, and beans, every time, in record time with much less liquid. Steamed vegetables a a family staple arrive at the table cooked seasoned and ready to enjoy. If the Cosori has a weakness, it is the saute function. I find myself using a traditional saute pan to braze meats. Most recently prepared sweet and sour chicken for 10. All in the Cosori. Prepared the rice first then the S&S chicken. It was delicious. A significant of dinner conversation revolved around the Cosori. My new favorite,go to, kitchen small appliance. We are also adapting our favorite family recipes for the Cosori.

Easy clean! Recessed moisture trap
It was between this and the Instant Pot. No regrets! High quality! Easy clean! Recessed moisture trap! We are now getting rid of the lectins in some of our foods that are causing stomach discomfort in my wife. Love the steamer functions. Easy panel readout and use. Had to reset the silicone seal a couple of times - just didn't get it back into place properly after cleaning. Like the bigger 8 qt size for more steamer room and making large chicken soup with full carcass cooking.

Top of the line product and seller
I have owned several pressure coolers both electric and stove top. I wanted a larger capacity because we entertain often. It arrived last night and boy oh boy was it packaged well. It was in 3 boxes and once removed it was in perfect shape. I work and having a pressure cooker allows me to feed my family home cooked meals faster. I currently have a big pot of chicken 🐔noodle soup cooking in my new pressure cooker. I also love that it also comes with a glass lid. I know some people are afraid of pressure coolers but they are not the ones from my parents generation. Knock on wood but I have never had any problems. Of all the pressure coolers that I have owned, I have to say, this one is by far the best. The seller shipped the item super fast, and as previously stated it was well packaged. I look forward to all the home cooked meals I will be able to make for my family. The internet is full of pressure cooker recipes and I have also created many of my own.

Love it!
I hated my Instant Pot Ultra which usually failed to seal and then proceeded to scorch my meal. So I trashed the Instant Pot and replaced it with the 8 qt. Cosori. I've only had a chance to use the Cosori a few times so far but I l am delighted with this pressure cooker. Most importantly it seals reliably with no fuss and cooks the meal perfectly which my Instant Pot almost never did. Beyond that my favorite features are the 8 qt. size (which allows me to double my favorite recipes) and the adjustability provided. I can select 6 different pressure/temperature levels allowing me to fine tune the cooking. I can even select 3 different sauté levels which is very handy. I also like the direct push button interface much more than the stupid menu system of the Instant Pot Ultra. The Cosori is also more powerful, getting up to temperature more quickly. I also love the included glass lid for slow cooking and the extra sealing ring provided. Finally, you got to love that the Cosori is much cheaper than the Instant Pot! The only thing I'm not happy about is the way the lid attaches. In order to thoroughly clean the lid you have to unscrew it from the lifting mechanism. While this is a bit annoying I mostly worry about pressure leaks developing eventually around this screw hole.

Faulty timer seems to be a design flaw.
UPDATE: 08/2018 Almost immediately after posting my initial review (faulty timer), I was contacted (email) by a member of the COSORI customer support team, apologizing for the problem and expressing a desire to make things right. They proposed sending me a replacement unit. After a couple of email exchanges to verify order and shipping address, a new unit arrived within a few days. First thing to note was that the replacement did not contain the extra pressure ring. Not a big deal since I had the extra ring from the original unit. The first thing I did was to test the pressure and timer with a manual setup (high pressure, 5 minute cook time.) The pressure built as expected, and the timer seemed to definitely keep time better than the original unit. The next use was at high pressure for 2 hours. Again, the pressure built as expected and the timer counted down for about 1 hour and 54 minutes. So it seems the timer is still slightly fast, but not so much that most cook times would be adversely affected. (If you're concerned about more accurate timing, I'd say add about 1.25 minutes for each 30 minutes of cook time you want.) Another test (ribs this time) using the preset for meat (high pressure, 30 minutes, no manual adjustment) produced some incredible ribs. I'd say the replacement unit works very well. Hopefully it will last for many years...but only time will tell on that count. Kudos to COSORI customer support for handling this problem. Original: This arrived today. Sad to say, it'll probably go back tomorrow. Pros: The package seemed new and unopened, and contained everything the user manual said should be included. The first thing we did (after reading the manual, that was pretty complete for a user manual), was to perform a pressure test. (I.e., 4 cups water, set for 5 minutes cook at maximum pressure.) The pressure came up as expected, and no leaks detected. Unfortunately, the 5 minute timer counted down within 2.5 minutes. That is, instead of minutes, it counted 30-second periods. The keep-warm up-count timer also counted 30-second periods. A quick search online revealed this to be a common problem. (I'm not sure why this is, but being a professional computer programmer, it's beyond me how this was not found during QA testing - if such testing was even done. -- I could hazard a guess that they cheaped out and are not using an actual clock, nor counting A/C line cycles and taking into account a full-wave rectifier bridge would double the cycle count.) An email has been sent to Cosori customer service. If no, or a non-acceptable response is received tomorrow, the unit will be returned via Amazon's (always amazing) customer service.

Just as good or better than the "other" brands!
I have to say that I am incredibly impressed! This is not my first pressure cooker. I have owned the Farberware brand and truly love my Farberware 6 qt. I was looking to increase size and have yogurt making function. I assumed I would be buying an Instant Pot brand due to all the hype. But I decided to ask around and read reviews. Not only did I like the price point better on the 8 qt Cosari vs the comparable IP model but the Cosari comes loaded with extras! - Extra Silicone Seal - Taller Steaming Trivet with handel - Extra glass lid for slow cooking and covering All of these are extra expenses for other models. I was sold and have been using my Cosari daily since arrival. I have made lasagna, muffins, bbq chicken, pork ribs, egg bites, mac and cheese, even yogurt! This thing is my best friend!

Easy to use even for people who have never pressure-cooked before AND produces delicious food, too !!
I am very happy with my purchase of the Cosori 8-Qt Multi-Cooker. I bought it primarily for the pressure-cooking function because our A/C broke in July and we could no longer use our oven during the summer's high heat and humidity. I'd never pressure-cooked before but the Cosori has made it fairly easy to learn. I've been a home-maker since 18 yrs and am now 61. I've cooked HUNDREDS of beef pot roasts over the years. However, the first one I made in the Cosori turned out to be the best one one I've not only ever COOKED but the best one I've ever EATEN !! ( It has also produced my best-ever MEATLOAF, too.) I'm enjoying learning this new way to cook and I'm glad I chose the Cosori over other brands. It's pre-sets are pretty-much on the mark and you don't really need to do a whole lot of time/temp re-adjustments to get your food to cook well. However, I DO recommend that you also buy "The Cosori Well Under Pressure Cookbook" AND "The Electric Pressure Cooker Cookbook" by Barbara Schieving, especially if you are a newbie like myself. They will not only give you recipes but TECHNIQUES, too, which most certainly have helped ME quite a bit. ( I bought a BUNCH of other cookbooks for pressure-cooking and the others were a complete waste of money for me.) I am ALSO happy with the Cosori Customer Service people. I've called them with questions and they were EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. DON'T BE AFRAID TO BUY THIS.

Comparison to Instant Pot
I've had the InstantPot Duo 6 Quart for several months and used it 2-3x per week, so I was interested to try out the Cosori model, as well as the larger 8 quart size. In terms of quality and cooking style, this Cosori is essentially identical to InstantPot. The buttons, design, and format are all very much the same. Which is actually a vote in favor of the Cosori -- without being able to tell any difference in quality or design, the Cosori is a better value for the money as it comes with several accessories that Instant Pot doesn't (ie an extra sealing ring + glass lid for slow cooker, plus I like the included steamer rack a bit better than the included steamer rack that came with InstantPot). In terms of size, the 8 quart is definitely noticeably larger than the 6 quart Instant Pot, about 2 inches taller, wider, and deeper. So it really does make a difference in terms of footprint if you're leaving this on the counter or trying to squeeze it into a cabinet. We have 2 adults and 2 children in the house, though, so for cooking capacity this 8 quart has been nice, as it lets us cook enough to have some leftovers and/or freeze. Generally the 6 quart would make enough for the 4 of us for dinner, but not significant leftovers. All told, consider this equal in quality and design to the InstantPot, which means it has a slight edge with the extra accessories provided. Recommended!
