Beautifully stunning set, perfect for entertaining!

This is a beautiful set! I have sold wine and wine related products, including an aerator, through a home-based business and this is by far my favorite to use. This wine decanter aerator set is perfect! It aerated a full bottle of wine in a matter of minutes and all of those at my home at the time commented on the improved taste of our favorite red wine! The aerator enhanced the crispness and fullness of the wine! I love how the set comes with a drying rack and that they thought to create the decanter at a slant. It is just a stunning piece and a great addition when entertaining. Will be buying another around the holidays as a gift for a friend! All wine lovers must have one!

Letting your wine breathe...

In preparing for an upcoming party I wanted to try something a little different for my guests. After reading some articles about how to release the complex aromas of wine I did a little research on different decanters and finally selected this one. In the past I tried battery powered aerators but I never noticed a real difference in fresh from the bottle and ran through the little battery powered pump. I tend to drink red wines, and even though the label says “chocolate, tobacco, dark berry” flavors, I never could notice them, which is slightly ironic because I can smell a souring towel from across the room. So before I tested my new decanter out on my guests I decided to grab a mid-level bottle of wine (Apothic Red) and pour it into my new decanter. I followed the directions that came with it, and let the wine settle for about 20 minutes before pouring my first glass. After pouring my glass I noticed right away the lack of that tangy fresh-from-the-bottle smell that comes with many red wines. The odor was more subdued, but I did notice hints of fruits that normally I haven’t in the past. I suspect it has something to do with larger surface to air ratio when placed in the decanter, allowing the wine to breathe better, but I don’t know all the science behind it. Either way I was impressed. The fact the box also came with a stand and a scrub brush made clean up really easy. If it works for wine perhaps it’ll work for brandy and other aromatic liquors.

A perfect gift for a wine lover.

No alot to say about it, it is a nice looking Glass decanter with a very helpful stand when drying it out. It feels well made and sturdy well maintaining a clean modern look. Just make sure you have a sponge or something for cleaning which can be difficult without the correct tools. it was a gift for my mother and she loved it!

Great Value!

Anyone who has owned a decanter before knows how annoying they can be to clean. When I came across this product I knew I had to try it because it looked so helpful! The packaging was great and came with a nice cheat sheet about the differences between aerating and decanting. The decanter itself it a really nice size. It's a tad smaller than the other one I have, but I like it that way. The angled lip also makes for WAY less of a mess when trying to pour which is great. The wooden egg was a nice touch and helped keep the wine fresh. As I suspected, the tools provided made cleaning so much easier. It took a minute to figure out the best way to use the cleaning brush, but once I got the hang of it, it was perfect! The Drying/storage rack is also very nice and helpful for storing. Great product overall especially for the price!!

Beautiful and great customer service!!

Love it and use it all the time. I saw that some other buyers wanted to know what happened to the gorgeous wooden stopper that was shown with it. I thought maybe the stopper was mistakenly excluded from the box, so I emailed customer service to find out. Turns out that they discontinued their last version of the stopper with this decanter, but with just that one email to them, they quickly responded, and arranged to have a new stopper sent to me. It is very smooth, so if you have naturally dry skin, you just need to dampen your fingers a bit to remove it from the opening.

I really liked this Decanter

I really liked this Decanter. The stand is a great addition to have as well as the cleaner that is included. I believe that the wood ball adds a special touch to it and it makes it look really nice.The glass is great quality and easy to clean. Sometimes the wood ball will get dyed red but it will go back to normal once it is washed. I wish that it was almost stained so that the wine would not seep into the wood. However, this is a great product and I love to bring it out when I have friends over. It is really a great addition to my wine collection.

Great gift idea! Beautiful set

I purchased this Wine Decanter Aerator Set as a gift for my sister. I opened it and scoped it out before wrapping it. It's beautiful! I think the bottle is a really nice shape and appealing to the eye. It comes with the decanter, cleaning brush, areator drying stand, and a hard cover wine book. I call my sister a "wine-o" because she loves wine so much! So it is really the perfect gift for her. She absolutely loved it! She has been using it and says it works great. So happy with this purchase!

What a beautifully made set! The decanter is a nice sturdy thickness so it doesn’t feel like it will break easy if mishandled. I love the swirl effect that happens when you pour the wine into the jug. The cleaning brush makes for a quick and easy clean up and the wooden stopper is intricately carved and keeps the wine fresh when not drinking!

Save Yourself a Headache, Buy the Whole Decanter Kit at Once!

About three years ago I received my first decanter for my Birthday. It was beautiful and elegant much like this decanter. However, I quickly learned that cleaning a decanter is nearly impossible with common sponges and mold grows quickly if you do not properly dry out your decanter. This is why I recommend you save yourself the headache (and probably a bit of time and money) by purchasing the whole decanter kit at one time. I ended up purchasing the sponge separately not too long after after I received my old decanter and it cost me an additional $10 at that time. I never purchased the stand, because that old decanter unfortunately broke. This is why I was very happy to work with Mixologist to test out and review this set. I taste, pour, and talk about wine on a regular basis for my website and I was way overdue for a new decanter. When I saw that this was a whole kit, I was honestly delighted to get the product because I knew the troubles I had in the past. Here's what I liked and what I recommend for you when considering the purchase of this kit: 1. The sponge in this package not only cleans the decanter, but it will more effectively clean long flutes or wine glasses with a narrow opening. Love when I can use one product for multiple reasons! 2. The drying stand is the key to preventing the mold issues that I ran into. Just be vigilant with making sure all the water properly clears out before storing the decanter again. 3. I love how this whole kit packs away neatly in one box that is clearly marked with visual images. There is no confusing (in my home) that this is a decanter. When I purchased these items separately, nothing stayed together so inevitably I was looking all around for the sponge when I needed to clean the decanter. If I had purchased the rack separately, that probably would have ended up in the back of the cabinets, never to be seen again. 4. The decanter wooden "egg" or stopper was a little difficult to get out of the decanter, but I would use it while outside or if the doors are open in the house while the wine is sitting out. Bugs do like wine and there is nothing more unattractive than a gnat in the decanter. 5. The two pieces of literature in the box are full of tips on wine and use of the kit. I like that the one titled "Why a Wine Decanter" is laminated. It will last longer especially when things can easily spill in the kitchen or dining room where this product likely will be used. 6. Use your decanter even on bottles that are under $15. Why? It presents well with guest and it does help to open up a red bottle of wine up with aeration. Also, because I regret not using mine more often in the past; It was such a pain to clean and store. This set really solves all of those issues, so please enjoy using it often or giving it as a gift. Classy and Beautifully Made

I'm a wine snob and I grew up with wine snob parents who make their own wine. I got this for myself, and will likely buy another or my mom for Christmas. The quality of this glass is great, the piece is BEAUTIFUL. I love that it comes with the cleaning wand and a stand to dry it. I've served wine out of my carafe at a couple get gatherings now and just love the added class vs. a wine bottle.
