Finally a sturdy cuff strap that carries and guarantees a lot of weight.
I've been looking for a cuff strap for my DSLR that detaches easily and gives me the comfort of not dropping my camera while hiking. After detaching my camera, it wraps around your wrist and looks like an attractive bracelet. I dislike straps and this is the best idea I've seen and used so far. It makes climbing and scaling rocks much easier without banging up my camera.Comes with a lifetime guarantee after registering and if you share on social media and they sell to other friends family etc. you and they get a 10.00 credit for future purchases.

Beautifully designed product that does exactly what it's supposed to do - protect your camera. It also happens to look great!
This was my first product purchase from Peak Design and it will definitely not be my last. Why? Because this product is awesome. The quality of the build and design is awesome. And the lifetime guarantee is awesome which means they stand by their products. The Peak Design Cuff does exactly what it's suppose to do - protect your camera from accidental slips and as a theft deterrent. While traveling throughout Europe I like being able to walk around with my camera at my hip and in my hand without worrying about someone stealing it or making me out as a target like the folks with the neck straps. Also, neck straps are uncomfortable because they rub against the skin of the neck. It's easy to slip on and off my wrist, easy to tighten, and easy to connect or detach from the camera at will. You can tell that the product was carefully designed and the fact that they are continuing to improve the product is a good sign that they care about what they do. I believe the price is fair for the quality and design. You definitely feel you are getting your money's worth. Pros: Well designed. Great durable materials. Beautiful to look at and matches well with most cameras. Lifetime guarantee. Cons: Nit picking here...the strap is a little too long for my personal preference. The ability to make wear it as a bracelet is clever and a great idea but will only fit people with bigger wrists. Things to know before purchasing: This is the most recent and up-to-date version of this product/model. What's different is that the newly design cord is smaller and stronger allowing for it to be used with a wide range of cameras that have smaller hole attachments connected to the body of the camera. The locking mechanism is also slightly different.

awesome accessory for your camera.
I have the PD Slide strap, but bought the wrist strap for those days I just need to secure my camera on my wrist. when I hike, or lean out of a window, sometimes I worry about losing my camera. yeah, call my paranoid, but I love my Sony A6000, and I just cant go off and buy a new camera. :) the added benefit, if you are not using your camera, you can put it away, the strap becomes a wrap around your wrist (like a watch), I dont use that feature all that much, but it is cool. I highly recommend the PD solutions, using tabs vs clips and such. Easy to switch straps to cameras quickly.

Reduces the awkwardness of holding a smallish camera
I ordered this cuff for my recently purchased Fujifilm X-T10 camera which I'm using as a travel alternative to my DSLR (less weight). I previously purchased the Peak strap for this camera and it's just the right size and weight for a lightweight mirrorless camera, but the camera is very small in comparison to my DSLR, so holding it is sometimes a bit awkward. I've found that the cuff works really well and gives me a secure feeling that if the camera should somehow slip out of my hands, the cuff is there to catch it. I also like that the clips allow me to quick change between the strap and cuff for different situations.

Beautiful, professional and high quality
There is nothing to dislike. Like every product from Peak Design it is so obvious that they themselves are photographers. They know how we want our stuff. You always feel secure with this strap around your wrist. It is extremely easy to use. Just stick your hand in to noose and pull and the leather strap sits comfortably around your wrist. It came through for me with my A7R3 with my 400mm GM lens on and I just dropped the camera and it was scary to see equipment worth $10,000 USD fall towards the concrete pavement I'm standing on, but then suddenly the sturdy strap stops the fall and it just hangs there dangling - saving me a lot of money. When you think of how many extra expenses this little thing can save you from this is a no brainer. It is both sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. Another nice point is that it is long enough to not get in the way of all your normal routines with the camera. I do all the same things as I used to without changing anything since I started using this strap. I still change lenses and mount camera on tripods the exactly same way.

Hate neck straps? Try this wrist strap.
My photography instructor was aghast when she saw I never use a camera strap. She insisted I use one, because she's seen what can happen to expensive photography gear if it's dropped. I get it, but hate how camera straps feels on my neck! When they're off my neck, the dangly things get in my way when I'm trying to shoot. So instead I bought this "Cuff" wrist strap from Peak Design. The only thing that connects to the camera is a little cord loop thingy with a red colored plastic round bit. The "Cuff" strap goes around my wrist, and can be adjusted for perfect fit via a little silver slide thing. To connect the camera to the strap, just put the red round bit into the catch on the strap, and snap it in place. The little cord is apparently rated to hold some crazy amount of weight--so a camera isn't a big deal for it. To disconnect it from the strap, just press down, and slide the little red round bit out. When not in use, the wrist strap doubles as a sort-of bracelet. Just wrap the buckle part (the black bit) around the "Cuff" and a magnet (cleverly built into the strap itself) will hold the buckle to the strap. I have small wrists--so the "bracelet" thing ends up being kind-of loose on me--but it's MUCH better than an annoying neck strap. If you hate "neck" camera straps like I do, then check out the "Cuff" wrist strap by Peak Design--I highly recommend it. . Peak Design Cuff Camera Wrist Strap Ash (CF-AS-3)

Worth every penny. Great product.
Another great product from Peak Design. I absolutely love this little thing, the quick off/on is great and extremely easy, even with gloves. Also has some amazing hidden(or not) features that I was unaware of because, truth be told, I didn't look that much in to it before I bought it. There is a magnet in the leather part of the strap that slides around to allow you to roll the strap up in to a nice small package either on your wrist or while still attached to your camera (and maybe on Peak Design's Clip.) Then there is the sliding mechanism that fits nice and tight around the camera end of the strap to keep it in to a nice looking, easy to stick your hand in to strap, or you can pull it loose and have it tightly slip around your wrist. The fabric and the leather bits all feel extremely nice. Coming from a $4.00 strap this was worth every penny, and it just looks fantastic.

they took a good design and made it great
the old cuff was reliable, comfortable, etc. I was happy with it. Then I lost it. I went to rebuy and found this new design. It is that much better. It looks great (silver and leather) and is more comfortable than old version (not that old version was uncomfortable). The magnet feature is really smart too

Good looking product, innovative design, stick with Amazon for Service
Amazon delivered quickly. I like the look of the newly designed Cuff in Ash. I think I like the magnet, but I haven't really put it to the test yet. The older design with a clip to hold the strap when not attached to the camera is definitely more secure. If you are real active the older design may be a better bet for you. Because I liked the look of the Ash Cuff, I subsequently placed a direct order with Peak Design for the matching Leash via the Peak website. I received an email confirming my Paypal charge, then another email from Peak advising that the item is back-ordered. I figured Peak would enjoy the additional profit by cutting out the middleman (Amazon) and I assumed that Peak would provide a high level of service, if needed. I should have ordered it on Amazon!

Big improvement over older model
I have the original PD Cuff and really like it. While it was the best wrist strap I've used, there were a few shortcomings. Mainly, adjusting the Cuff was pretty much a two handed affair because of the adjusting buckle. It also has a utilitarian appearance. I decided to splurge and upgrade to the newer, more expensive model. It's certainly worth the cost of the upgrade. It has a much smarter appearance with the leather accent. The new aluminum adjuster makes one handed adjustment easy. The adjuster also looks classy. The magnetic clasp is a nice touch - it makes it easy to wrap around your wrist like a bracelet. With the quick release system, it makes it easy to store the camera in a camera bag when taking a break. I used to use an old school strap and it was always a pain to take it off my arm. I also have the Peak Design Slide Lite and I can easily change from using the wrist strap to a regular camera strap. I'm tempted to deduct half a point for the magnet. It's an ingenious design, but I'd like the magnet to be slightly stronger. Every once in a while I'll bump my wrist and the strap will dislodge. The entire Peak Design system, including the Arca compatible camera plates, are well designed and crafted. I'm a fan!
