Missing the metal piece that connects the hose to the pump. Hose will not stay in without it. I'll change this to an appropriate review if I can get a replacement. Edit. Customer service squared this away quick. The pump is amazing! To address people's complaints. It's loud as he'll when it's first fired up after a sitting for a couple hours or more. It's temporary! Within a few hours it'll get warmed up and quiet down. The air comes out hot. It does. I used longer cords and it cooled the air down quickly. This pump is amazing.

I purchased this pump to replace a similar product by another vendor that burnt up and died in a year and a 1/2. This product was approximately 30% more expensive but delivered approximately 25% more air pressure. According to the stats. I was in a hurry and couldn't find the original product that I was going to purchase based on expense so I just bit the bullet and paid more. Not a lot more but I tend to be Scotsman frugal. Lol I'm so glad I did. Now this product delivers more air What is surprisingly physically half the size of the previous product. And is orders of magnitude more quiet. The only trouble I had with it was its air outlet is slightly smaller than the previous one but looked identical in the pictures so I was not prepared immediately To install it having to get a different air hose size to step it up to my aquarium room air framework. It's been running 2 weeks and I feel confident Enough to leave this review Addendum I went back and checked the stats on the previous product I want to be Precise the previous product cost $12 less. It was 571 GPH compared to 950 and use more power 35 W compared to 32 all in all this pump is Well worth the extra 12 bucks by far My small fish room comprises 15 10 gallon tanks 15 5 gallon and 4 breeder forties All running sponge filtration powered by this airpump. It has more than enough pressure and to spare. I'm trying to figure out how to squeeze to more 55 into the fish room and it would run those just as well

I bought this for a two-fold purpose: 1. To use with my laser engraver 2. To use with my hydroponics setup My laser engraver requires high volume at low pressure which this pump can supply. I ran the pump for about 5 hours straight and it kept up without any issue. If you have ever used a piston air delivery pump, they are louder than diaphragm pumps, but they last much longer and can produce more output than them. In fact, I was sick of replacing diaphragms on my old pump which is why I moved on to a piston version. Piston pumps do tend to run a little warmer, but this pump has such large heat sinks it can easily dissipate the heat it generates. The suction side has a small air filter to prevent debris from entering in the pump. I had read another review where someone added a section of 3/8" hose from the inlet to an area outside the room to quiet it down. While this would work to quiet it down, it would also add a lot of strain to the pump and decrease its output significantly, so I would not recommend doing that. For my deep water culture hydroponic setup, I have rafts that my lettuce floats on. The roots dangle in the water and you need something to keep the water oxygenated and keep nutrient solution moving around the roots. The distribution valve system this comes with is absolutely perfect. I'm using regular silicone aquarium tubing and I have lengths up to 20 feet long. The ball valves on the manifold can be partially closed so you can have valves at full output or partial output. The fact it's a metal manifold was also a plus for me as they hold up much longer than the plastic ones that seem to break after 9 months. With 110 liters per minute output, this pump has all the power I need and even some to spare. If you want a piston pump with a metal manifold that is ready to go out of the box and customer service to back up any questions you have, I think you found what you need right here. I hope you found my review helpful and if so, please click the yes button below. Thanks!

Great air pump. After reading the reviews complaining about the heat generated by the air pump, I fine tuned the air pump. What worked for me was to add brackets to the base of the air pump. These brackets hold a floating fan just 3-4" below the air pump. The fan points at the air pump, and keeps it constantly 20-25°f cooler than its uncooled operating temperature of 105-115°f. I have 3 air pumps, all with fans and brackets, they all stay around 81-85°f. I hope this helps some other humans. Btw, if this review helps you sell some air pumps, I can use 2 more. Tyvm

Moves a lot of air. Its loud if you have the inlet open. I put a foot long lenth of tubing on the intake fitting and quieted it down without restricting air flow. Runs super quiet now.

Used it for our koi pond as you can see from photos. Totally pleased as were the fish seemingly were. They were swimming back and forth through the bubbles. My husband suspended it from beneath the roof of a little shed-like device he made (see photo) which gives it some added protection from the elements as well as alleviate any vibration noises which I think is what people are hearing--the vibration when it contacts surfaces. Used only two of the six available air slots.

I needed a source of medical vacuum that could be put outside, didn't take 1000 watts and use a 1HP motor / piston assembly. This fit the bill perfectly. Note: if using it for suction, be sure to put a muffler on the output port, otherwise your neighbors will hear it inside their homes. With the windows closed. With a muffler, it's just a low hum outdoors that I don't notice. I used to have a noisy machine inside that I'd plumbed temporary hose exhaust through the open window and taped it shut. For this, I drilled a small 7/16" hole in the wall, plumbed in some tubing and when done, had more than adequate pull. It does move lots of air at a decent vacuum. For the price, it was about $700 cheaper than the entry level medical pump. Can't beat it.

This met my needs perfect and some. lil noisy but its not advertised as silent. mounted the pump in the attic and ran 20 feet of airline to the outlet next to my reservoir, no noticeable loss in pressure and now i can no longer hear it running. my attic is easy to access so checking on it once a week is not a problem.

Combined with the 8" vivosun air stone and you've got an air machine that would be hard to beat. it makes 50 gallons of water look like it's boiling

Definitely has enough power to use for 6 DWC buckets. Using this right now for 4 DWC buckets (5 gallons each) and it's almost overkill. It is a bit loud and warm (not hot enough that I felt the need to run a fan over it, like some users...) as others have pointed out but what do you expect from a pump with this power at this price? Suspend it in the air with some zipties or string and make sure it isn't touching anything else so that it doesn't create a bunch of vibration. I did this and put it in another room and it's really not noticeable above the sound of my fan.
