When Donna kicked me out of the house, and took half of my belongings, I was left with nothing - except for this chair. Thank to this chair, I was able to sit there and reflect on all the things in life that keep me from bulldozing our old house and setting it on fire, just like my ex wife did to my heart and soul. Ever since I bought this chair, I have been comfortably participating in my favorite activities, such as: drinking Coors Banquet beers with my boys every Saturday morning-evening, watching sports, and sleeping, since Donna has the bed I bought on Amazon years back. I have started a GoFundMe account to be able to afford a mattress, so until that day comes, this is my bed. And I LOVE it! Thank you Moon Lence!

I chose to compare this ultra-light chair to a similar version I have with a high back/Headrest. These chairs are all over Amazon, so this review will probably be applicable to the entire gamut. When it comes to these ultra-light chairs here is what you should look for: + Mesh in the backing to keep it from acting like a wind scoop. + Strong plastic joints + Well reinforced pole sockets + Wide feet bottoms to keep the feet from sinking into the soil This chair has all of these features, with the small exception of the wide feet. This Moon Lence chair has the same feet that are common among these chairs so it is on par with the average. Compared to the high backed chair, this one is waaay more stable. The mesh backing and lower profile keep it from acting like a windsock. My high backed chair falls over with the slightest breeze unless weighed down. This one seems to stay put without weight. It is also substantially lighter than the high backed chair. That being said, the high backed chair is slightly more comfortable. ~~The Question Everyone is Asking in the Back of Their Minds~~ Can you lean back in it? My answer is Yes, as long as you are under 200lbs. If you weight more than that you should not be leaning back in any chair. The multiple joints and the fact that every rod and joint can move independently actually help the chair conform to uneven surfaces and transfer the forces to the ground when leaning back. ~~How Does it Stack up To Your Standard Cheapo 4-Post Folding Chair from Walmart?~~ Way better! Those chairs that have become the norm at every campsite, while cheap and easy, leave a lot to be desired. I would much rather carry this Moon Lence chair a mile to a campsite than one of those chairs from walmart. The weight, space savings and comfort make this chair a clear winner in my book all day long. ~~Would I but this brand/model over a different one again?~~ Being one of the cheapest ones without adjustable legs, I would say yes. The adjustable leg chairs are only going to add more weight. As far as choosing this one over a high backed chair, I would say yes again, primarily due to the extra weight and the fact that the one I have has no mesh and falls over all the time. Conclusion: Definitely worth it as one of the cheapest one on the market. Lighter than a standard camping chair and easier to haul and carry. I will probably keep all of my camping chairs at home from now on and slowly transition my camping chairs over to this type. Moon Lence provided a chair to GadgetClass for testing and review

We absolutely love our chairs!!! We have had them for over a year now and we use them all of the time. We have used them at soccer games, lacrosse games, at the river and beach, backpacking and most recently, a 2 week camping trip. They are very light, quick & easy to assemble and comfortable to sit in. LOVE our Moon Lence chairs!!!

I'm 5'8' and 165 and this chair is perfect for me. Took it out for 16 day 140 mile trip and this chair was awesome to have. Strapped to the outside of my pack I could be sitting in one minute from the time I dropped my pack. It changed everything, no looking for a rock to sit on. Very comfortable for me. Run the loops on the bag down the back supports and makes a great place to store items while you are sitting, most of the time I put a rock on the bag to keep the wind from blowing it over. Does not work well in sand, you do need firm ground to sit it on or sinks and becomes unstable and will result in damage to the chair. For 40 bucks you can't beat it and well worth the 2 extra pounds.

This chair rocks... in a good way. I had initially purchased the REI version of this chair for $79, but when I read the reviews on this one I returned the REI chair and got this instead. Incredibly glad I did... it is well made and sturdy and half the price. I can vouch for the durability of this chair...I was just in Republic of Congo for a 2 week medical mission that involved camping and travel in very remote locations (read: no roads, only canoe travel). This chair was the bomb... so lightweight I carried it easily with my pack, and I always had a seat in any village. It is off the ground so I am not sitting on bugs and snakes, but low enough I could sit upright in it in my Kelty Salida tent at night and read. On the 9.5 hour canoe ride back to civilization, there were limited seats in the dugout, and I sat in my Moon Lence chair (see the attached photo). That little canoe held 10 people, 2 goats, a bushel of dried fish, and a live owl on a string (not my owl, obviously!) It was cramped and space was at a premium. The small chair footprint was perfect, and the sling seat made that 9.5 hours on the river very comfortable. I was initially worried about the shifting of the canoe on tight turns (it was a very twisty river and the canoe had a small outboard motor, which meant tight turns), and that it might bend or snap the chair supports, but the chair shifted and rocked with the turns and held up great. It was way more comfy than the wooden chairs and empty gas cans other people had to sit on. Everyone on the mission wanted it... and I ended up gifting it to a Congolese colleague on my last day in country. He's a big guy (180-200 pounds) and he'd tried it out and knew it could reliably hold his weight. Now I need to buy another one... and you do too.

Great little beach chair. Compact and lightweight. Good if you need to walk a ways to your destination. Easily fits in a draw string backpack with a towel. I'm am pretty petite so it's a great size for me. First assembly was an experiment.... pretty much just let the pieces fall out of bag and assemble themselves. Just needed to click them in all the way. The short pieces are the legs and the tall pieces are the back of chair. To put the actual chair canvas on I find it easiest to put the bottom two corners on first, then one at a time gently stretch the top corners onto the poles using the pull tabs. I gently put my foot on the bottom cross bar to hold the frame steady. Assembly and Break down is easy. Not as quick as a folding chair, but for the compactness and how lightweight the chair is, it's worth the extra steps. Only thing it's missing is a cup holder. Also trying to figure out how I could attach an umbrella for shade. Take caution if you leave it on the beach or unattended on a breezy day. Be sure to weigh it down or bury in the sand a bit. Blows over easily.

Kind of tough to figure out how to put together the first time, but once you get it the first time it becomes easy. I took this backpacking in RMNP, and it held up great. Very comfy and stable. I'm a petite woman, so it had no problem holding me. I'm glad I didn't splurge on a more expensive REI one, since this seems to do the job. Edit: since the first review, I've used it several other times and it has held up great. Added a pic from Voyageur's National Park!

Pros: -Low price -Sturdy construction -Ultra lightweight (It's right on 2lbs) -Comfortable -Backpack-able -Easy to set up, use the loops and directions Cons: -Needs a harder, flat ground to keep from sinking their legs into it -I wouldn't trust leaning your weight all over the place in it, but fine for leaning forward to cook, eat, or whatever other normal things you'd do in a chair I bought two of these guys on Prime Day and just love them. Even at their normal price they're affordable, sturdy, and lightweight. They're really easy to set up. You just follow the order from bottom to top and use the loops on the fabric corners to pull them over to the posts they go into. It does take a bit of force but nothing excessive. I did have to get a replacement due to bad stitching on one of them but Moon Lence was very prompt and courteous in sending out a new one to us that was perfect like our other one. We took these out backpack camping and did not mind the extra 2lbs they added for the comfort they provided. I don't think the people weighing these under two pounds are being honest or else they have bad scales. These weigh as the seller lists them, right at 2lbs (0oz) and barely less without their cases. We did have a little trouble keeping the front legs out of the ground where it had rained recently so you do have to be mindful that the legs are skinny little things and so are the feet, so they may need adjusting to keep from sinking. You also need a pretty flat surface to make them work well. They paired very well with our little table we purchased from another manufacturer which was a knock-off of a much more expensive name just as these chairs are. We're both very happy with our purchase and highly recommend them!

Very nice chair. I bought it during a flash sale for approximately $27. Lightweight. Easy to assemble. Easy to carry.

I am a mother of 3 and purchased this for my middle son - he is 4. He and my daughter always fight over who gets to sit in the small outdoor chair when we go to events and such, leaving on very unhappy child having to sit in the adult sized chair. He is more than happy with my purchase, and this being blue makes it even better! He literally refuses to sit in any other chair now. Even when we eat dinner at the table as a family, you will find him sitting at the table in this chair... This chair would be much convenient if it folded up, and it was a bit difficult to figure out how to put together without any instructions ( I shouldve been a natural blonde lol) But it does come with a nice carrying case for outings, so I am content with my choice to buy this.
