If you smoke in your car, like all smokers do, then this for you. I bought two.

If you do DARE to smoke, at least your car won't turn into a travelling ash bin! The design is cool, has a lid that does the work of two, holding your lit cigarette, and then closing as a lid, so you can't see what you just did. Way better than those old plastic soda bottles half full of non-potable water. And, I must confess, I have purchased one, and it is excellent, and I would recommend it, and I admit to being a sinner. Also, If you haven't noticed, they don't build ash trays into automobiles any more. I suppose you can request one, as a pricey upgrade, for your Lamborghini. But, if you have more money than god, you are probably already using a very much more expensive drug anyway. So, this is not about them. It's about you. The design is cool. I didn't catch if it had a little inhaler to get rid of the fumes. Or maybe, that's called a car window.

It's a very nice ashtray! Two small issues

It's a very nice ashtray! Two small issues: it didn't fit my car cupholder all that well. It's "just" a tad too large - no fault of the maker. I was able to rig something up so that it fit better and I'm satisfied. I do wish that it extinguished cigarettes better. I feel it doesn't do quite a good enough job of putting them out fast enough for me. I'd toss a cig in and it would still smoke for longer than I was comfortable with. No real way to smash the cig out either (perhaps the maker could put a small shelf in the taller side for grinding out a cig? - just a thought - found myself needing something like that). It's a very pretty item (for an ashtray, I know). It certainly beats the black plastic ugly things that you generally see (must have thrown away a dozen of those things over the years).. The construction is super solid and very well made. If you're looking for an ashtray to use in your car that will add a little touch of class (again, I know, an ashtray), then I would definitely recommend this one. This is one I'll be keeping.

BEST car ashtray out there.

If an ashtray to be described as FABULOUS, this ashtray is fabulous. I've purchased several car ashtrays and this is, hands down, the best one. I could not have imagined a car ashtray that looked so elegant. Of course that would be meaningless if it wasn't well-designed and highly functional. When you open the box you can tell this item is well made and well worth the money. It's not some cheap aluminum piece of crap that will break in a month. So much safer much safer because when you flip the lid it completely extinguishes the cigarette even if you didn't put it out completely. The lid seals completely cutting off the oxygen. So not only is it safer, but it also reduces the smell of the smoke in your car. It didn't fit exactly into my cup holder but I was able to manipulate it easily and now it fits perfectly . Not only does it work well, but it's elegant design disguises the fact that it's an ashtray. This company makes great products. I have also purchased their ashtray with a lid that flips shut shaped in an elegant circular design. And I bought a cheaper model made by a different company which weighed as much as a feather because it was constructed from cheap aluminum and not only did it break after 2 weeks, but it didn't function well or look like something you'd want on your table.

This ashtray is rearly built very well, the Stainless Steel will keep shining forever! Very classy.This ashtray is also heavy & will never fall over. I believe the cleaning will be a breeze. I want to Thank Newness I had a small issue with the pin that held the lid on. Newness sent me free of charge new ashtray. I told them not too send one because I felt we fixed the problem but they still set me a new ashtray. I might add look around their Web Site they make many NICE things, check it out.

Great if you need an ashtray

This is a great ashtray for the car. I fits in my side door cup holder and I put it in my lap when smoking. It prevents ashes from flying all over. My husband laughed at me until I put it in the center console cup holder....now he loves it! So, if you're a smoker or know a smoker, this is a great ashtray. I'll be ordering more for our patio for wind reasons, as well as it can prevent smoke from blowing towards others.

Amazing texture

It's smooth and delicate. I like the design! Some details like the hook make it easy to be open. The size is also extremely suitable for my car. When I need to navigate or do something else, I can place the cigarettes not finished in the holder. It has a cover, so it is easy to prevent something spilling out. My mom can’t smell cigarette, usually she only allows me to smoke on the patio. It works great because the smell wouldn't be very heavy when she's close to me. I got to say that's really a great gift for smokers.

Great car ash tray!

For an ashtray for your car, this is the best! It's stainless steel so it won't melt. And it holds a lot so you don't have to dump it so much. I really like the cigarette holder. Its holds your cigarette really well so it won't roll off. It is very well made. Very happy with my purchase.

Nice tray!

I just got this ashtray today. Looking at it, at first I was concerned that it doesn’t have a place to stamp out your cigarette. But I think that the notch to put your cigarette in..when you’re finished smoking..keep it in the notch and just flip it closed. Is that right? Instead of tossing it in where it can reignite old ones? I’ll update after I try it. Update: It works great!

Not Bad

It arrived in a velvet bag which was very nice. Granted, it will never go in there I certainly can find a use for it and appreciate it. I was really concerned about this since it was a bit expensive. Yet, it’s very sleek and appealing. It does not scream tacky. The lid ironically keeps the rain water out. I leave it on my table outside. A bit of water has made it in yet not enough that you have floaters. Like others said, the holder part makes no sense yet, whatever. I may actually purchase one for my front yard. I do recommend.

Perfect for your car!

This is the second car ashtray I had to purchase and it’s the perfect one for the car. It opens easily, has a big opening and when you’re done just throw it in there and shut the lid, no smoke coming out of it. Fits in my cup holder perfectly as well so I’m happy I found the right one and no more worries about having to purchase another one because of disappointment.
