I never wanted a K-cup coffee maker. When I saw this one I was intrigued. The size is smaller and it is flexible for making my favorite coffee grounds or using the K-cups. It came quickly and was packaged very well. I LOVE it. I can use my own favorite coffee grounds or I can use a K-cup. One feature I like is that you empty the reservoir each time you brew. The coffee grounds insert comes with the appliance as does the K-cup insert. Can't say enough good things about this produce!

Boy am I glad I bought this. I really can't afford a Keurig - so I purchased this little gem and I couldn't be happier with it. I have always wanted a single serve coffee pot that I could brew regular coffee and use the pods also and this is the answer to my prayer. The pods in the stores are really pricy, but I know I have been looking at them here on Amazon and the prices can't be beat. I know where I will get my pods!!!

I purchased this machine for my 96 rear old father ~ after doing some research of brands and reading reviews , decided to give it a try . Is very user friendly for my Dad , simple and straightforward...so he is very pleased for having a piping hot cup of coffee !!!

I really love single serve coffee pots. The coffee drinkers in my household have different schedules so it just makes more sense to brew one cup at a time. I have a large Keurig brewing system, but it was taking up precious counter space in my kitchen. So, I started looking into smaller single serve coffee pots. This brewing system is a great option for people who don't want to waste coffee. One of the things I really like about this type of set-up is that there is very little assembly required. In less than five minutes you can have this set-up and start brewing your favorite drink. You can use standard mugs and travel mugs with this system. There is a raised drip tray that is removeable and you can take off the platform and be able to use a taller mug or travel cup. I like that this system was designed to work with K-Cups, but also comes with an adapter for you to use your own coffee grounds. The system is easy to use and takes up very little counter space.

This coffee maker replaced a Bunn My Cafe which was no longer working properly; it was old. The comparison between the two surprised me. The FlexBrew makes great coffee. It is quieter, and neater (less splashing mess), and more compact (I have limited space) and easier to use. I am very happy with this coffee maker! It takes a short time to heat the water (the Bunn was instant) but you brew your coffee with the push of one single button. You can push the button, step away to feed the dog, and return to find a fresh brewed cup of coffee waiting for you.

I bought this about three months ago and noticed it had slowly stopped dripping. I was dreading trying to clean it until I watched the short video and saw how easy it is to remove and clean the part that punches the hole in the K-cup. Previously I had a Keurig and it was beyond challenging to try and clean. This is significantly cheaper and makes great coffee.

I had a Starbucks Versmio for a long time. I like Starbucks but essentially the machine did not make the hottest drinks. So I decided to do something different. I bought this first for my Mom around Christmas 2017. She absolutely loved it. It actually performed better than the $100 Keurig I bought her that broke after 1 month after I got it for her. Since she liked it so much, and I was looking for a new machine I re-bought it for myself. So far I can say it's an excellent machine. The coffee comes out super hot. The only down side is you have to regularly rinse the needle end of it. It takes a little while to warm up. But other than that I would def recommend buying this over a regular Keurig.

Perfect for single serve needs. Nice footprint; good size for small spaces. Easy and convenient to clean. I mainly brew my own ground coffee but I like having the option to use k-cups. Regular and bold brew options. Make great tasting coffee. Can't ask for more.

I purchased this when my trusty old Keurig finally bit the dust. I’m particular about my coffee, usually using freshly ground beans with a pour-over filter and pitcher. But I occasionally used a Keurig pod when I just wanted a just a bit and didn’t feel like making a big production out of it. I bought the Hamilton Beach unit as a replacement, because it was about $20 less expensive than the basic Keurig model. It worked fine with Keurig pods, although I noticed that after every second or third cup it is necessary to clean out the outflow orifice at the bottom of the pod holder and the hole in the steel pod-puncturing unit to prevent the coffeemaker from stopping up and turning off. It takes less that 30 seconds to accomplish this using a partly straightened paper clip. Then I tried using the Flexbrew feature with freshly ground coffee. You simply re;lace the pod holder with the included filter basket. It takes about three heaping teaspoons of coffee, just enough to cover the fine-screen filter in the bottom of the basket, to make a 16oz mug of medium-strength coffee. The hot water comes through the same steel tip that punctures pods, but in this instance a rubber ring seals the filter basket when the top is closed, and the coffee is made under pressure, much in the manner of an espresso machine. The coffee quality is superb, and it is so quick and easy I hardly use my pour-over method at all any more. One more hint — I recommend rinsing the grounds out of the filter basked immediately after each cup is made, as it becomes brick-like when cold and dry. I bought this little gem of a machine thinking I would be using it only for the occasional cup of pod coffee, but it has become my number one way of making coffee all day and every day. Kudos to Hamilton Beach for coming up with a simple, versatile and inexpensive way to make coffee!

I wanted to find a new coffee maker when I moved into my new house. I decided against a Keurig because I have found that the quality of those machines is not what it used to be. This Hamilton Beach is great. The best part is that I can either use a K-cup or easily use ground coffee in the little cup. It doesn't overflow or make a mess. It is easy to brew either way. I didn't find this with my old Keurig. I had to use an expensive K-cup or not have a drinkable cup of coffee. This has two brew strengths and the size is controlled by how much water I put in. It takes about 2-3 minutes to brew a cup of coffee. The water is as hot as it should be to brew. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
