Lightweight, folds away, and nice vibrant colors

This is a great play mat. I'm glad I bought it for when my friends' babies come to visit. Be sure to measure the area you want to put it in and check listing measurements. It's enormous. Which is great for a baby who is crawling/scooting. It's easy to put away, though. Here are a few of the reasons I'm enjoying it: -Reversible -Non gender-specific -Wipes up easily -Colors are nice and vibrant -The thickness is great -Lays flat, won't curl up on the edges -Folds up easily -Comes with carrying case -Lightweight -Protects baby from finding things in carpet or on floor to put in their mouth. This works well in the living room to give our baby a soft, entertaining area to play on. It would also be useful for day cares, church nurseries, playrooms, or the like. When we're not using it, we just fold it up and slide it under the bed. The carrying case keeps it clean for the next use. I can't find anything wrong with it, and babies seem to love it.

This is absolutely a beautiful and perfect product

This is absolutely a beautiful and perfect product. My DD started using it at 3 months. This may has so many colors and pictures. 1) My DD learned to roll over on this mat. Because this mat is firm and gives a good grip with cushion. 2) The pictures and colors play a role in baby's growth in many ways. 3) The size of the mat is perfect. My DD keeps rolling on it, plays on it, and also did tummy time on it. 4) This may is like a gym for her where she plays, gets tired and then eats well with good sleep. Thank you.

Thinner than I thought

EDITED: customer service is exceptional. They really go above and beyond. The product is really great for carpet. You might want to buy two and stack each other for hardwood floors. ORIGINAL: The product concept is great. Compact, foldable, looks great but was sorely disappointed with how thin it was, especially since it cost 70.00 at the time of this review (also, there was a tear on one of the sides). I know the site said it is 0.37 inch thick but upon my son playing, it was thinner than we thought. This was intended to be on top of hardwood floor to protect him but if he drops his head down during tummy time or crawling, we can hear the impact of the hardwood. Very disappointed

Fantastic product

I initially purchased that foam number/letter floor mat that’s really popular two years ago. Well I was starting to go mad because once my son learned that it all comes apart as he got older, he was constantly pulling it all apart. I was getting sick of putting it back together every night so when he intentionally spilled milk all over it, I saw it as a blessing since I finally had a reason to just toss the whole thing in the garbage without feeling guilty. Yes I know, I could’ve cleaned it, shhh... Anyways, I knew this time around I wanted a floor mat that did not come apart. I saw some at the big box baby stores for a ridiculous amount. Unnecessary to spend the money on them as this mat is GREAT!! It’s thick and soft and a great size. I love that it has two sides of print. My son loves moving his toy cars along the roads on the city side. I have now purchased 5 or 6 things from this brand and I am never disappointed. High quality for reasonable prices. Love their puzzles. Highly recommend this playmat and this brand.

I bought a second one for the grandparents!

This mat is great! I spent days searching for the perfect baby mat before my son was born, looking at both more expensive and less expensive options. Pros: very large, but can also be folded down if you have a smaller space. Double sided, the animal side is great for younger babies and the road side will be good for an older child. No cracks like the puzzle piece mats for puke and poop to get stuck in. Easy to fold and comes with a case to put it away in. Wipes down well. Cons: it is larger so if you have a smaller space this may be too large. The mat is thick enough to cushion well on carpet but may be a little thin for hardwood.

Exactly what we needed for our 6-month old!

We were looking for a durable, washable play mat to use on our wood floor. Our baby is six months old and needs a place to roll around and play freely. We also needed the mat to fold up easily and store at a reasonable size since we don't want it sitting in our primary family room all of the time. This mat is perfect! She is also noticing all of the animals, and we have fun pointing them out to her. For the use we are getting out of it (which is every single day), I also think it was a great deal. Very happy.

Portable, easy to clean and good padding.

When the mat arrived in the box and in its carry case, it was very deceiving because it looked rather small. But it opens up to the dimensions listed in the description. I love that it’s so easy to fold up and is compact and lightweight for transporting. Also cleans up super easily when my son has spills on the mat. Artwork is bright and cute.

Perfect for our needs!

This mat is really great, better than I expected. It's soft and I love that it's reversible - it makes me think we will get use out of it for a long time, especially once our son is older (he's 7 months now) and can use the roads with cars. It folds up so easily so it's quick to store. We needed a bigger play area than just a play gym since our son would roll around and off of it but we didn't want to put something permanent down (we're still trying to keep baby clutter to a minimum!). This works perfectly for us for those reasons, plus it's waterproof so no issue with drool or occasional spit-up, just wipe it away. Finally, we have a dog who sheds fine hair so this is great because we can just vacuum quickly with a hand vac or wipe it off. It is also very light and the carrying case is handy and makes it easy to bring it with us when we go visit someone or on vacation. My only slight concern is that it's made in China so I do hope it really is non-toxic but not much I can there I guess!

I love the new mat (looks exactly the same as picture) and it seems a bit thicker than the original. Not actually 1" thick...more like 1/4" thick

* update:!I would like to add that the company sent me a thicker mat replacement free of charge. I was very pleased with their response in recognizing the mat was thinner than advertised. I am very impressed with how they handled the situation by sending a thicker mat directly to me. I appreciate that very much. I also see that they have change the product description to advertise the mat thickness correctly, therefore now representing the product as it is, a wonderful play mat, large, fun colors/prints, and about 1/4 inch thick. Overall great product! The mat is Large and great for my 6 month old. However the description states it is 1" thick and that's what I expected. Instead it is only about 1/4" thick, which was disappointing as that is why I chose this particular mat. Not sure why they advertise a thickness quite different from the actual size
