Amazing customer service, no more neck pain.
Rarely do I write reviews, but this time I feel I must - in a very good way. Purchased the Cotton Carrier G3 1 Camera Harness (Grey) for my photographer daughter. She had been complaining about neck pain from her Canon 7D hanging from the strap around her neck after multi-hour photo-shoots. This did the trick and more. No more neck fatigue. Camera held safely no matter how she moved. Sadly, several hours in, one of the shoulder straps sew points on the chest failed. Still, the carrier held onto the camera, no risk to the equipment - a plus in my opinion that despite a strap failure, camera was still safe. Saddened by the potential loss of an otherwise good product, I sent an e-mail the next day to Cotton carrier on their web-site asking about repairs. Despite it being Sunday, Brook from Cotton Carrier responded that afternoon and before COB Monday a new replacement was on its way - no fuss, and no shipping costs. Unparalleled customer service, and an excellent product. It arrived a couple of days later and my daughter already has it ready for her next photo-shoot. My Daughter cannot be happier with this product, she said it was the first time she didn't have to worry about the camera or lenses banging into things on a shoot. I cannot be happier with the customer service. I'm likely going to get a second one for myself. Definitely recommended . As for the product itself, it is of high quality design with solid good materials and is lighter than either of us expected. I think our situation was a fluke judging by the way the rest of the carrier appears to be made. There are a couple of nice spots to tuck away extra CF cards. We love how the straps and connectors are set in such a way that they won't pull out of the connectors without serious force applied, very nice attention to detail (Once had a different camera case that went around the waist from another maker and the strap would pull out of the clasps if we were not careful.) Good price for the quality and utility of the carrier.

All I use for my pro Canon 5d Mk IIIs
sturdy, well made. I finally broke the polymer hub on the chest plate and ordered another one. I guess I could have sent it in to see if it could be repaired, but I estimate I put the camera in and out about 60-70000 times over the years I've had it in pro use. Good products. Company is responsive when you want something.

Should have bought this years ago
After nearly years of nearly falling when hiking in the mountains due to being off balance with my heavy camera and lens hanging off my shoulder sling strap, I ran across this harness carrier as a potential solution. First I had a neck strap, that was uncomfortable and then a shoulder strap that was fairly comfortable, but still the camera needed hand support so it wouldn't swing around freely and when hiking this caused an unbalanced situation. I met a photographer who shoots for National Geographic and he was wearing one of these and was raving about the comfort and ease of use. I waited until now however to pull the trigger, and soooo wish I had bought it prior to my recent trip to Armenia and Georgia. I'm getting to old to risk falls and some of the terrain I was hiking in was a bit iffy for me and had I had this carrier, the hikes would have been much easier and safer since I'd have had both hands free. I tried this out over the weekend and love it. It's a bit of a pain to get it initially fit to your body, but once adjusted, you only have one strap to adjust in the future to allow for a jacket or additional or less clothing under the pack. Plus it is very comfortable to wear a day or back pack over this. The design is awesome. It takes a second to remove the camera from the carrier slot, and return it after shooting. And no more camera bouncing around while you walk. So far I have identified no downsides, but it may be a bit warm in hot weather, but the material is fairly vented yet very sturdy, so it my be fine in the warmer conditions. Time will tell. But in my opinion this carrier is a must for anyone hiking or even walking around for hours with a DSLR camera and lens. Now I can hike and walk around with my camera all day taking photos in total comfort and with greatly reduced risk of breaking my neck when hiking in rocky, uneven mountain and canyon terrain.

Great for hiking!
I bought this carrier for a recent trip to New Zealand where we did a lot of hiking. It works great and I love it! No camera bouncing against my body with every step and I was hands-free to use my hiking poles. I recommend washing it a couple of times before you wear it. It transferred some dye from the straps to a light colored shirt I was wearing on a 12 mile sweaty hike.

Just Works Great
I bought this before a two week mountain bike/hike trip and it was so worth it. In the past i would have to stop, take off my pack, unzip it, take out my camera, repack it and put it back on. When on a ride or hike i would only do this once or twice a ride and pretty much stopped bringing my camera and just relied on my iphone. On this trip the harness made it SO much easier. Plus it was very secure when riding or hiking. I hardly noticed my D750 with the 35-70 lens on it. I took way more pics. Obviously I wasn't tackling a downhill course and trying to clear doubles, but for xc rides it was ideal Highly recommend.

A great shoulder support
I used this carrier for the first time last weekend while making a 2.5 mile hike with a 1000 foot drop in elevation. I knew I needed a way to carry my heavy camera gear. This Cotton Carrier G3 harrness did the trick. Once fitted properly my back and the harrness provided all of the support as opposed to my shoulder. The construction appears to be solid.

Wonderful Product!
I have a Nikon D7000 with a 18-300 mm lens. I find the camera and lens difficult to carry around comfortably. After my last hike with my camera I decided to look into camera harnesses. I am glad I purchased the Cotton Carrier G3 camera harness for 1 camera. It is very easy to adjust the harness to fit me comfortably. The harness can be adjusted at the shoulders and around the waist. The twist and lock camera mount makes it easy to take the camera in and out of the harness.

A Photographers MUST
The Cotton G-3 system is very well designed and very durable piece of equipment. I carry a full framed Nikon with a 300 mm zoom lens and bought this harness for a recent trip I made to Europe. At all times it kept my camera securely fastened while I was hiking, going over rough trails and streets, and climbing ladders and stairs and allowed me to carry it all day without any sign of fatigue. I enjoyed the quick and relative ease of the camera release and even used the rain cover several times when the afternoon showers popped up. I had no problem using a backpack while wearing the harness. All around great product and strongly recommend it.

Be patient with fitting setup.
Okay. once set up and custom fit for your body it's an outstanding product. But be patient. Especially if you are doing it alone. There are multiple ways to adjust the fitting. Once you overcome any degree of impatience and familiarize yourself with all the straps, Velcro etc. and finalize your fit the harness rocks the house. I can go all day comfortably and end it without neck or back pain. I purchased the 1 camera harness but I do carry two cameras regularly on assignments. A Nikon D500 and a D810. I utilize my Peak Design Capture Clip and Peak Design Pro Pad V2 in the location where the Cotton Carrier Holster would normally go on the 2 camera set up. Reason being there is no issue with it coming loose when I bend down and move but I can remove it for shooting just as quickly. I definitely recommend.

Relax while hiking!!
As an avid wildlife photographer I always have my camera with me. The lens is very heavy and I hand hold my camera to do my photography. I dont allow others to carry my camera because it’s heavy, its my baby and it’s very expensive, so my hands and arms always get tired. I recently purchased this camera harness for my latest trip to Michigan and I couldn’t be happier. I used the harness during hiking and while climbing a mountain. The harness held my camera and 100/400 lens securly and freed up my hands. The quick release worked perfectly when shots presented themselves. No more tired hands and arms. The harness is comfortable also. I would recommend this product!!
