Pretty accurate for the price.

I have been in industrial rubber and sealing for 25 years, and regularly use calibrated durometer gauges that cost over $600. This unit is off by about 3 duro, so for the cost I am extremely pleased. I wish the foot was a little larger, that would make the reading more accurate, but again this is an excellent value.
