I bought this Vilros kit, as well as another Vilros kit that is almost identical (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0787BXR3P/). The difference between the two are that this one comes with an aftermarket Vilros branded case and a power supply with a power switch in the cord. The other comes with the official Raspberry Pi case, and the power supply has no power switch in the cord. Both of these are quality kits and include all the basics you need to get up and running quickly. Before I bought the second kit, I was going to just buy another board, but then realized that by the time I assembled the parts I need, this is actually a nice kit at a great price. I'm very happy wih this purchase, which is evident by the fact that I bought a second a couple weeks later.

Perfect sized kit, not too many frills. I use this as my OctoPi 3D Printer Server and it is AWESOME! It matches my MonoPrice Mini-Delta 3D Printer and blends in perfectly around it. The case was easy to work with, attaching the rubber feet, and included heat-sink. I did have to purchase a micro-SD card to put the software on, but that doesn't cost too much these days (thankfully!). This is a great starter kit for anyone wanting to get into the incredible usefulness of a Raspberry Pi, and to join the thriving community of tinkers, builders, and programmers. This is the ultimately priced computer for playing around with that you can afford to accidentally break and replace. Buy this kit, you won't be disappointed! :)

This is an awesome deal. I had some issues with not being able to get mine to boot and the seller went above and beyond to make good on the sale. PRO TIP: If your Pi won't boot but recognizes the sd card briefly, redownload the zip file and try burning it again with etcher. My first download was corrupted somehow and prevented me from booting up no matter how many times I tried to format the disk. a fresh download worked on the first try! Also, unless you're powering some USB drives or something, there's no real need for the power supply. Mine ran fine from my PC usb port and it is directly powered by the usb port on my router for 24/7 operation now.

I prefer this starter kit for the Pi Zero W from Vilros because the included power supply can also power any other Pi (supplies 2.5 A), it includes an on/off switch on the line, and the front of the case is flat which allows the case to sit square to a window (the included silicone ‘dots’ can be used to give a slight stand-off so the camera lens is not pressed against glass). It should be noted that there is no slot in the case by which the memory card can be inserted/removed; if the card needs to be changed, the case would need to be opened and the Pi unseated from the retaining clips. I’m using the Pi Zero W with the 8 Mp Raspberry Pi camera as a remote to a MotionEyeOS server. The Pi is running Raspbian Stretch Lite and an RTSP server. The v4l2rtspserver process is using about 12% cpu and 6.3% memory to stream images at 20 FPS with a resolution of 1640x1232; v4l2 is set to create an H264 image stream from the camera. [22 June2018] Note: Do not place the heat sink on the Pi CPU if the camera module is to be installed in the case as well. There is not enough space between the Pi and the camera module once the case is closed.

I needed a PiZero for a quick experiment, and didn't want to spend the jacked-up price that Amazon resellers charge for it, so I started looking elsewhere. After pricing out several other retailers with the parts I needed, and their kit prices, I found that this collection was a few dollars less (and with PRIME shipping!). I ordered, and it was here two days later. Everything is great, though I don't particularly like the enclosure. It has openings for all the ports, but NOT for the SD card. You have to take it apart to swap out the card (!), and doing that involves pushing something into a slot to release the lid. Everything else is great. The heatsink went on easily, and I have a few extra pieces I won't be using (two other lids for the case, and the header connector I may or may not solder on later). Great combo!

Its a RaspiZeroW with a nice little case, some peripherals, and a very shady looking power supply that I wouldnt trust. The board came in an ESD proof bag, there were no issues with the solder joints on the SMD parts, and it boots up just fine. This kit, a 13000mAh usb battery, some wireless hardware (AWUS036H and a 2.4ghz amp), some know how, about 2 hours worth of work and testing, and youll have yourself a brand spankin' new HostAPD/MITMproxy/Wifi-Pumpkin platform. Or, just be like the rest of the hacklets and build a stupid nintendo emulator. Thanks Mr Bezos, for enabling me to build a wireless network pentesting toolkit that fits in my purse, and all for under 100bux. :3

Awesome kit. I used it to setup a Pi-Hole on my network. Now I can see all the crapware that is blocked from being downloaded to my hosts. Great platform.

This is a great bundle to get started with the Raspberry Pi Zero W. Almost everything you need is in here - the Pi Zero W, the case with three types of lids, power supply, the PiCamera adapter cable (pro tip: you'll find the cable inside the box with the case - I spent a few minutes looking for it and thought they missed including it), the header pins, the heat sink, the mini HDMI to HDMI adapter, and the feet for the case. It had more things than what I needed for my project but total value for the price. I wish it included a small micro SD card as well to make it ready out of the box for people new to the Pi Zeno. Perfect gift for an aspiring hacker.

I have high respect for the RPi’s...I have 4 in the house and more coming. I love them. As soon as I heard the Zero is wireless I had to jump on it. But I must’ve gotten a bad one. It overheated so much it felt like an instant burn if I attempted to touch it. Also the Unit never connected to either WiFi’s I have (2.4ghz and 5GHz). Not sure what went wrong and hopefully I just received a bad unit. Thanks amazon for understanding and have a wonderful return policy =+=+=+=+= UPDATED =+=+=+=+=+= I have changed my rating from 2 to 5. I’ve gotten a new unit and it works like a champ! It doesn’t over heat and connects to WiFi seamlessly!

I purchased this to run retro games inside an old nes game cartridge. I was hesitant as thus is the first one undid not buy directly from the manufacture. This was a good deal on paper as I needed a case for a zero I already had. Everything turned out great and the test speeds I ran before setting it up were to pair. The next one I buy will be the same thing. I could not be more pleased with my purchase.
