Highly reccommended so far

We purchased this item when we transitioned my son from his crib day bed to a higher twin bed. He likes to roll and rock himself to sleep and has fallen out of other beds before. We have only been using it for week but so far we are very happy with it. I opened the package immediately and let the foam expand for a few days before using it since I'd read reviews that the foam didn't fully expand. It is plenty high enough to prevent him from rolling out of the bed and it is quite firm. The non-slip underside of the cover works very well. I put the bumper directly on the mattress and put the mattress pad and sheets over it. It hasn't budged an inch. I am not able to comment on the water resistant properties of the cover or how the product holds up long term so I'll update down the road if needed. For now I'm very happy with my purchase!

Works wonders for co-sleeping!!!

This product is a dream for co-sleeping mothers!! I use it as a barricade between my child and myself and finally have a good nights sleep. My kid is 4 and would kick me or roll into me all night long, constantly disrupting my sleep. Well, since I got this, we BOTH sleep so much better. My bed is against a wall, so I put this directly down the middle of my queen sized mattress. My child has his own section now and this soft but firm bumper is just perfect for him. I can’t roll over it. There is no chance of him rolling over it. I will add a photo later and I may buy another one to put on each side of the mattress when he wants his own bed. I am not paid nor did I get this product for free... I’m just a very happy customer!! I hope I can help another co-sleeping parent get a full nights rest.

Update: it’s been a few months and my son still hasn’t dallen out of his bed. The bumper hasn’t lost its shape either. I have had a problem with certain sheets fitting but other then that; great bumper. I was a bit apprehensive about buying this item but I really didn’t want to use those hard rails. I was surprised at the functionality of this product. I just transitioned my 2.5 year old son into a twin bed and it wasn’t too bad. He hasn’t fallen out of the bed and it’s been about 4 nights since he’s been in his new bed. The bumper decompressed pretty quickly and we used it the same night. I have no complaints as of yet. Fits perfectly under his sheets.

My husband sleeps in a hospital bed and it has a rail at the top half but not at the bottom. During the night his legs will sometimes fall out of the bed. Putting this bumper under the sheet has kept his legs in the bed all night.

Excellent quality, firm bumper with non-toxic foam!

Awesome bumper that stays put and is easy to climb over- and bonus: it's not made with and nasty, toxic ingredients. I co-sleep, so initially purchased this bumper as an added guardrail- it creates a 4-5" barrier at the edge of the mattress (not that she could move to the edge as an infant anyway, but it made me feel better knowing it was there. The base is textured so it 'sticks' to the mattress and goes under the mattress pad and fitted sheet- which will fit over it tightly. (Note that the company does NOT recommend this bumper be used in that manner- it specifies it's meant to be used for older toddlers/children in their own beds.) I ended up ordering a second bumper to put behind MY back for night-time side-lying nursing sessions, and will use both as guard rails when she gets a big girl bed later.

Perfect bumper! Sturdy, soft, and mirar impartantly, it works

I absolutely LOVE these bumpers! I installed them under the sheets for my daughters big girl bed and they don’t move at all. I also tested them myself to make sure they would work and stay in place, but I couldn’t roll over it for the life of me and they didn’t move at all. We currently have one of the bumpers with us on our road trip, that’s how much I love these bumpers. I didn’t try to put them in a suitcase, but I’m pretty sure they would fit and keep their shape because they came rolled up in a vacuum sealed bag

Great replacement for a bed rail!

I never planned to have kids that sleep in my bed but somehow I now have two of them that end up in bed with us on a regular basis. Eventually we just accepted it and took precautions to make sure if a kid was in our bed that he wouldn't fall out. I had a clunky eyesore of a bed rail on the side of my bed all through my older son's toddler years, and now found myself in the same position again with my younger son. But when we bought a new, thicker mattress suddenly the bed rail wouldn't fit with the bed frame anymore! I am so glad this happened because it made me research other options, and this bumper is such a better solution. I wish I'd found it years ago! It serves the same purpose but is so much less of a nuisance. No, it's not as tall as a rail and I guess if you have a really acrobatic sleeper it might be possible for them to roll over it (?) but it seems like a good enough deterrent to me. It's so easy to use; it just sits underneath the fitted sheet and stays put. I can actually climb in and out of the side of my bed again! Great product.

Wonderful product

It’s pretty amazing how this works. My son has fallen out of beds forever and he’s 8 and still will roll out without a guardrail. Since he’s so old I got sick of having the barrier up and the way it looked and worried his friends might tease him. This is incredible! It worked, it’s subtle looking and he loves the cozyness of it. Now all the kids in the house want one! It’s a revolutionary concept. We’ve had it for a little over a week and so far it’s amazing. It helps if the fitted sheet is snug on the bed and not at all loose because it can slip over-but it’s an easy adjustment with a snug sheet.

Update

I was nervous about ordering this because of others reviews saying it doesn’t stay put but I put it in my daughters' bed and it hasn’t moved at all! We were able to remove the bed rail that looked awful and she is using this foam bumper now and loves it! And I love it too! It was so easy to change her sheets, I didn’t have to mess around with the rail. Really happy with this purchase. Update 10/26/18 The one I bought for my daughter's room is still working great! I loved it so much I just transitioned my son out of his crib and bought a second for him! Seriously dont know what other reviewers are talking about this works so well!!

Impressive size and firmness- better than expected.

Wow! I wasn't sure what to expect, given the reasonably low price and the fact that it is sold primarily for young children. We have a young adult who has nighttime seizures and recently was injured falling out of bed during some rather violent shaking. I wasn't sure it would be large enough or firm enough to really protect him. And truthfully, until a similar situation occurs again we won't know for sure. But this product is impressive in it size and quality and I'm pretty sure it will keep most anyone from rolling out of bed in their sleep. Photos are of the product coming out of the packaging, puffing up, and how it looks on a full/double size bed.
