Great for hurricane kit and daily use:

After hurricane Irma we lost power for a solid 2 weeks. It was rough with two babies, two dogs, and temperatures in the high 80s, low 90s. we aren’t taking any chances with our hurricane prep this year so I’ve been trying out different recharagable/battery operated fans. This one has been BY FAR the best. The major distinguishing feature has been the actual output. This feels like it may actually keep us all relatively cool while we sleep (the biggest issues last year). Is the battery going to survive the whole night on one recharge? Probably not, but none of them will from my experience. Which is why I also bought an external battery. The husband and I have been using it at nights to cool the balcony during particularly muggy evenings. It’s so efficient and effective I’m Considering a second purchase for my son’s room in the event of a power outage.

Small battery operated fan

This little fan is just great! It is so lightweight and portable even a senior citizen like me can carry it room to room, up the stairs and down. The battery lasts a really long time, and charges easily using any USB port. It is quiet, and it's effective. I could ask for nothing more from a fan! The Opolar company customer service is wonderful. This is a purchase you will not regret!

Great little fan

This fan works really well. It has a lot of power for a small fan that runs on two batteries. It will be great to have next time a hurricane knocks out the power. It also comes with a cord to recharge the batteries . I bought two of them.

Perfect for emergency backup!

I ordered this for my elderly father, who is currently in a rehab facility/nursing home. It's been abnormally hot in SoCal lately and the grid keeps getting overwhelmed; his facility is in a high density area so they've had several power outages these past weeks. The last time electricity was out for over six hours and my dad had to be treated for heat stroke. Luckily this was available for next day delivery. I charged it up for him ahead of time then brought it to him in to test. It works fine both plugged in and not, so I have every expectation it will work if/when the power goes out again. Incidentally, there's no pause in the fan blades when switching from being plugged in to running on battery, which I thought was nice. It has a decent strength for its size while still being small enough to fit on a bedside table. It's also easy to position and seems to be high quality. I'm thankful this product exists, and I'm sure my dad will recover more quickly without any more setbacks due to the heat. I went ahead and got one for myself in case of any future outages too.

This rechargeable fan is really good

I really wish I had this before Hurricane Maria! It’s a really good rechargeable fan! I charged it yesterday and test it out all night (at the lowest setting) and this fan can last for a little over 9 hours. That’s MORE than enough for a good night sleep. While I’ll still use my battery 10 inch fan, this one (9 inch fan) is a really good back up for when there’s no more battery left to use for the 10” fan. After Hurricane Maria, there was the panic that there were not enough battery for our lamps, radio, fan and etc. I have and tried before the smaller (5 inch) rechargeable fans when they started to pop up after Hurricane Maria, but it’s just not enough for me to sleep well all night. With this rechargeable fan I won’t have to worry about having a bad sleep. The one thing that I do hope for this fan is to last a long time! I hope my review helps!

Excellent fan, stellar customer service

I love the high quality, solid construction of this fan. On the high speed, the breeze is impressive. The low speed provides steady refreshment without blowing the papers off one's desk. The rechargeable Li-Ion batteries are my favorite feature of this fan, making it highly portable, very easy to move to various locations, with the versatility of USB charging. I have not timed how long the fan runs on a full charge, but it's quite a while. No outlet? No problem! I'd like to mention the stellar customer service I received from Opolar. My fan arrived, unbelievably, with the motor not attached to the fan body. It was lying loose inside the fan cage, and the wires of the fan cage were bent, probably from being banged by the heavy motor as it bounced around freely during shipment. When I reported this to Opolar, I received a nearly immediate reply asking for more details, and the next day a replacement fan was shipped. So you can depend on Opolar to back up its products!

Good little fan, excellent customer service if needed.

Purchased this in advance for the summer months at my job. This company has excellent customer service, my first fan was defective with rubbing issues when tilting. I was sent a replacement one and the second one has no such issues. I plan to pair this with a battery bank, unfortunately it cannot run and charge with the bank at the same time. Unsure about how long the fan will actually run...seems good though. Will update if I have issues in the future. Quality in materials seems good as well, while my first fan had rubbing issues, I believe it was a misplacement of the fan blade/shaft or something was missing that caused rubbing when tilted.

CHARGES AND RUNS IN PHONE JACK AND IN LAP TOP COMPUTER RECEPTICAL

This fan not only is sufficiently quiet and cools as efficiently as a similarly sized electric fan, it can be run by its lithium batteries or by its cord which fits into a cell phone charging plug and a into a lap top computer receptacle. I am particularly pleased with this fan because it can be used in a situation with no electric power and even can be recharged with a pocket sized phone charger.

This is simply the best product I've purchased on Amazon - period! I converted my Sienna Mini-Van into a camper. I wanted a fan to cool off at night and" fan-noise" to sleep.. Also needed long battery life (6- 7 hours.). I had purchased a 10" OPOLAR rechargeable fan, but it was to large, and could not go even 5 hours on low. I went with this 9" fan. I put the batteries on full charge, and set speed to low. Started fan at 8 p.m. inside of my bedroom, I woke up at 7 a.m .and was still going strong. Left for work and wife said it quit at 9:30 a.am. That's 12.5 hours on a SINGLE charge!. Wow! I have never used 18650 batteries, but these are beefy, and you can use one or two batteries. What company says ;"【Lithium Battery or USB Port As Power Supply】 The fan comes with 2 of the best quality lithium-ion 18650 2600mAh batteries. Each battery has been quality tested THREE TIMES to ensure the best condition before leaving factory; you can also power or charge the fan via USB to use with computers, power banks, or wall adapters." It is made of sturdy aluminum/steel composite; . and it can be tilted 180 degrees. I also tested it on high speed, under same conditions, and it lasted 8.5 hours. AND, it throws out a healthy amount of air. In fact too much inside my van! It charged up for me - from flat dead to fully charged, in 1 hour and 55 minutes. This is the best . You can'g go wrong. ENJOY! P..S. When you go to charge the fan, you will see a small, amber light. When the your fan is fully charged, it will turn to blue ! August 1st. UPDATE. On the battery side of the fan is a red light, that show it is not fully charged ( although does not show how much is charged) When it IS fully charged, the light turns to bright, neon blue. After 3 weeks, the blue light would not go on, even after 36-hours of being plugged into wall. I called Opolar, and had a very nice customer service rep, apologized, and simply set me out a NEW ONE!! No charge at all, not even shipping. They have a one year unlimited warranty. AMAZING!!!!

Love this fan!

I've ordered a few different battery fans and they've all been so small. I worry about losing power during hurricane season here in Florida. I have certain health issues that I become very sick- weak, dizzy, nauseous, etc., from the high heat🔥and humidity. So for me, there's no such thing as too many battery fans. Well, this time I'm pleasantly surprised! This fan is much larger than my other ones. It's easy to use and gives off a nice gust of air. I'll probably buy a couple more, because you know, just in case. 😆
