Great oven mitts!

Great, simple oven mitts that a guy can use without embarrassment. They're much more durable than others that I have tried (ahem, ikea), and still look brand new even after throwing them in the washing machine a couple of times. They're thick enough to not transfer heat even when holding heavy things like a dutch oven, but flexible enough that you can still grab fairly thin baking sheets, etc.

Perfect Pot Holders

The absolute BEST potholder I have ever had! It's a potholder, how good can a potholder be after all. If you've ever picked up a lid or held a handle on a hot pot with the standard fare holders, had the heat come through rapidly so you almost have to drop the item, the you appreciate a holder that withstands the heat. I use cast iron a good bit, I have older pots that don't have the handles that withstand heat, I have no problem picking them up or walking with them while using these holders. I have one set and ordered another. Well made, sturdy, the terry on one side and the silver thermal side are pliable, easy to hold and perfect. I will recommend these to anyone that spends even a minute in a kitchen!

VERY nice pot holders. I may have to get more!!

I actually utilized the 30% off coupon that Amazon had offered, and purchased two sets in rust/orange and purple/plum. I HOPED these would be of a decent quality and NOT Walmart cheepees - I like Walmart cheepees but they don't wear well. Anyway; I was very pleasantly surprised that they are very good quality - when first opened they seemed good. Washing: I washed them in cold water, cold rinse. First wash is done alone - per color since running can be an issue until color is 'set' in cold water. Color did not run at all (I put an old white cotton rag in with the wash to see if they 'ran'). They did shrink a little bit and I expected that they would; still a good size afterwards. Dried them by hanging them up (they'll last longer if not put in the dryer). All in all this was a very good purchase and if I take care of them when laundering: they'll last a few years. Recommended. Thank you.

Getting dinner done without burned hands

A lot of pot holders wear out just in a few minutes. These don't. The y make it so it can move various hot plates, pans, pots, etc, so you can keep things moving from the kitchen, to the bar, to the table, or whatever your situation is, and they don't quit. Keep your fingers and hands safe, and feel confident using DII pot holders!

Exactly what I was looking for.

After reading some mixed reviews on these I decided to order them anyway. I was tired of the new neoprene kind which are the only ones I can find in stores nearby these days. The $10 pair of those I've tried, melted after just a few uses so I figured around $8 for 3 of these was a great price and also wouldn't be a huge loss if I ended up disappointed. These turned out to be exactly what I was looking for though. Nice standard potholders like the ones I'm used to and they've been doing the job just fine so far. There are a few things I remember from some of the other reviews which I'd like to address. Someone mentioned there was a horrible plastic smell. I didn't find that to be the case. Yes they did smell a little bit like plastic when I first unwrapped them but that's what they were packaged in, so that's not surprising. The tags said to wash them before first use so I did. No more plastic smell whatsoever after that. As for them shrinking, they have very clear washing instructions on the tags which say to wash them in cold. I did that and they didn't shrink or warp at all. Maybe particularly bad stains won't go that way, I don't know, I haven't gotten them that dirty yet but I would try adding a non-bleach stain remover to the cold cycle first, instead of going against the washing instructions on the tags and then blaming the product and the 100% cotton front for doing what cotton usually does in hot water.

My forever potholders

There are 3,144 reviews. Mine makes 3,145. Why review when there are this many reviews already? I don't know other than I looked for plain old pot holders recently and could not find blue, or if blue it was silicone. I actually got excited when they arrived, along with towels and a drying mat. Silly? Possibly. I'd recently given up 2 story condo on a golf course and most of what I owned in order to live temporarily in a very, very small room with no amenities at all. It was an experience. I learned I do not need even half of what I kept. I'm now in a one bedroom apartment and starting over - simpler. I can cook now, and these will be the only potholders I'll ever own.

I know these are "generic" pot holders... but I've been searching for pot holders like these for a LONG time... I had one like these that lasted a good 5 years or so... it was getting VERY worn out and I searched and searched for a similar replacement... FINALLY I found these on Amazon... you saved the day again, Amazon. So happy with these. Light, but durable, insulative, and flexible. These are not big, thick, pot holders... these are light, slim, and have lots of give, perfect for what I need... I can grab a super hot pan handle, a cookie sheet that's been in the oven for an hour... whatever, these do the job perfectly. I hate bulky pot holders because there's always an issue with dexterity... I grab something and I either don't fully have it in my grasp, or I go to put something down and the pot holder is underneath it... I go to pull the pot holder away and it's stuck under the HOT thing I just put down... not a fan of that. Anyway, none of these things happen with THESE pot holders... which is why I love them so! Happy happy.

Nice pot holders

I am very pleased with these pot holders. I had originally purchased the turquoise about five years ago and they held up very well. When I changed color scheme in my kitchen I just knew I had to purchase these in black. They are very thick, well made, and easy to handle. Will definitely forever be my go-to pot holders. Price is right, too.

Nice smaller potholder

I was looking for some smaller potholders that still would protect things from heat. Nowadays there seems to be a lot of larger, thicker potholders that are really stiff and hard to bend around a bowl from the microwave or pans from the oven. I have several of the larger ones but I'm having a difficult time managing them. So I was looking for some smaller ones but still have good quality, good protection. I like these, they were just what I was looking for, and I liked the large selections of colors to choose from. Being picky about a potholder seems silly, until you burn your hand trying to work with the large ones. I'm not sure how long they'll last but they seem pretty sturdy.

Love the 2 sets I bought 4 years ago & bought another set

Over four years ago I bought two sets of these pot holders. I had searched everywhere for this type and size of pot holder. Those 2 sets have held up beautifully through regular use and laundry. Now that I have a kitchen with a different color scheme, I decided to buy a new set. I am hopeful they will be as sturdy as my other 2 sets. I am very pleased with this product.
