Arrived quickly and was very easy to set up. My travel trailer came equipped with wiring for a satellite connection, so I was able to connect the antenna my external OEM jack, and mate it with the Wally at the entertainment center. Had I not had this dedicated wiring, I would have tried using the existing cable connection but following the directions that were included, would have had to bypass the over the air antenna booster. The only thing that I wish had been included is a short piece of coaxial cable (maybe 18 inches long) to connect the Wally to the dedicated satellite jack which on my unit is just below the cable jack on the Winegard antenna booster panel, but bypasses the booster. My only complaint isn’t about this product, but the excessively long wait time to reach Dish Outdoors to activate our new service. Once we finally connected though, we were off and running with monthly “pay as you go” service that we’ happy with thus far.

I purchased this to replace my Winegard G2 which was still working OK after 7years. This Playmaker is a little smaller and I needed a unit that will fit in my Winnebago View storage bins. This was perfect. I did not think that this would perform as well as my old G2 but was surprised when testing it out. It had more receiving power than my old G2 and signal strength was high on all the Dish Satellites. Over 40 on all 3 birds. I am using a Wally Receiver due to small space in my new Winnebago View. I had planned to buy a G2+ but cost was a little higher than I wanted to spend. The G2+ needs a power inserter and more AC power. The Playmaker powers from the Receiver using High Quality Coax that came with the Playmaker. I am thinking about mounting it on the Roof. I can use the old G2 when trees block the signal. The G2 requires a 12v supply and 2 cables so a little extra setup. The Playmaker gets the signal very fast and much faster than the G2 which sometimes takes a very long time to get setup I think the new Playmaker has better electronics or something.

This product is Great. I purchased it to replace a king tailgater that would take forever to sink up to the satellites if it could find them. When I called King they wanted $350 just to look at it plus shipping to and from plus parts and $85 /hr labor. The playmaker was easy to set up. I had no problems. I was able to use the cable "in" on the outside of my travel trailer and put the receiver inside using the onboard wiring. I started the sync process. It took less than 10 minutes had all 3 satellites plus all the updates since I had not used the receiver since last fall. I am using a Dish 211z receiver. I am very impressed with this dish. I highly recommend. I did use the DishformyRv app to make sure I had clear view of the satellites. I was truly impressed with the speed of set up compared to the tailgater. I just hope to get several years from it.

We went from an auto satellite finder on the roof of our RV to this one, and we prefer it. It can be placed away from trees to get a signal, and it usually does find it. We use it with a Dish Wally, and the only downside is how it finds satellites is a mystery, it either finds them or it doesn't, there's no way to see what kind of satellite signal is coming in like we used to do on our other dish DVR's; either we get TV or we don't, and we're not sure which direction to move it for a stronger signal. Perhaps we have more to learn. Despite being very lightweight its shape makes it withstand high winds (I don't guarantee that, it's just our experience). Also it sheds water nicely; previous dome Dishes wouldn't work in the rain. We put it on 4 plastic leveler blocks to keep it out of dirt/mud/puddles. It has a loop to put a cable through, and we always keep it locked up. Make sure to get as long of a cable as you can find, since you may have to put it away from your rig to get a signal and still have it locked.

Easy to set up. Call Dish when you move to a different area and within a reasonable amount of time you have your locals for the new area. Only downside is sometimes you have to call Dish more then once. As soon as I got the system we traveled from Vermont to Florida with some stopovers in between. Watched tv at every stop. You do need an open are for the system to pick up the satellite.

I received this item on time however I was unsuccessful, even with lengthy contact with both Winegard and Dish, to connect to my RV's Dish Joey. Finally it was decided my unit was defective. I contacted Camper's Paradise who immediately, even before I returned the initial unit, sent a replacement. To my chagrin, I encountered exactly the same issues. Dish, to their credit, put me in touch with Pace Int'l, the manufacturer of the Joey, who successfully walked me through a Joey factory reset and successful operation. The thing that impressed me with Camper's Paradise is the excellent customer service and the gracious response when I informed them that the initial unit had not defective. Many kudos to Camper's Paradise. Recommended without reservation.

Very good product. Made a mount out of a toliet flange, a nylon cutting board and some PVC pipe

When I first received the bundle, I attempted to hook it up to my travel trailer. I have a new trailer with a pre- wired satellite port next to my TV/CABLE port. I hooked it up and the wally did not power the satellite, however when I connected the coax cable directly to the wally it worked. I then viewed all the YouTube videos showing re-wiring the trailer cable/tv wires. . I called my dealer, RV SPA, and they said it should be as easy as connecting the satellite coax to the outside SAT port . Well, I hope this helps you if you run across the same issue, the answer my outside Cable/ TV and SATELLITE ports were mark incorrectly on the outside. I opened the inside switch plate and it had a black dedicated coax cable while the TV/CABLE had an orange and yellow coax cable. I opened up the out side ports and the colors did not match the inside, but reversed. I then plugged the satellite coax to the TV/CABLE port outside and BINGO it worked.

I bought this for my RV. I received it today. Arrived in 2 days and packaging was not damaged. It took me about 30 minutes to hook up, acquire satellites, download software and activate the receiver. The picture is great! I am even able to receive my local channels from the Cleveland market. Update: I've had it out several times camping. It takes about 5 - 10 minutes to setup. Once it is locked on a satellite, I have great reception the entire time, just like at home. I purchased a 2tb portable hard drive (does not have a separate power supply, rather it is powered by the Wally's USB port). Now I have DVR service too! This is great to have on a rainy day. I couldn't be happier with this.

this seems to be a far superior antenna than the king tailgater which only lasted me 10 months.bought the tailgater new last may and already quit working.didn't realize till after I had bought it that it was no longer available out of production
