I needed an easy way to turn off/on a table lamp on a corner table in the family room everyday. We use it as the background light for breakfast and sometimes dinner, so it’s used a lot. I have two of these units, using both remotes in two different locations on one trigger. Everybody knows where the remotes are, everybody uses them. The light is on right now. Aside from one battery swap in the remotes after about 3 years, it’s been perfect. Highest recommendation!!

I appreciate the convenience of this remote outlet control. I admit that I was disappointed for Beastron that some reviewers gave it a 1 star because it didn’t work after a power outage or unplugging and moving it. The instructions are clear that after a loss of power the remote needs to be resynced with the outlet through pushing a button. I’m guessing that’s all they need to do. Anyway, I love mine.

I have an LG smart TV running WebOS. Every so often (days or weeks) the apps like Amazon Prime, Netflix or Youtube would stop working. I could not find a way to reboot the TV except to unplug it for several seconds and then plug it back in. I got tired of crawling around trying to find the power cord to unplug, so I bought this. A click of the remote cuts the power just like unplugging it. I may just shut if off every night so it will reboot daily plus save a bit of power.

I’ve wanted something like this for years and didn’t know it existed. I have florescent lighting from a drop ceiling in my basement. Florescent lighting is harsh on the eyes. I had purchased 5 sconces for my basement about 15 years ago just to give this room a more relaxed atmosphere, but had to turn each sconce on individually after going into the basement. I have grandchildren who are not always willing to go down to the basement. Incandescent lighting is more inviting. I now have the control to turn on each individual light from a remote control from the top of the stairs without depending on the grandkids to turn off the lights when they’re finished playing. This product comes with 2 remotes and 5 electrical outlets. I keep one remote in the basement in case there is a sleepover and the second remote at the top of the stairs. Less expensive than calling an electrician to snake the wiring within the walls. Goodenough for now. Love this product.

It is an awesome unit. Very good quality and absolutely no trouble setting it up. Just plug in the switch unit, put the battery in the remote and off you go. I really like the light on the unit to show when it's active and it gives off a slight audible sound when switching it on and off. Nice feedback. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a remote power switch.

It uses RF, so it works across the room without line of sight. Handles the current inrush from a fairly good sized motor. Batteries included in the remote, the switch end is powered by AC and doesn't need batteries. My big tools have a dust collector, but for the smaller tools that need higher velocity/lower volume vacuum I run a plumbed in Husky shop vacuum. Now I don't have to walk across the room to turn it on, I just walk up to my chop saw and press the remote.

Works really well. This is the only one that I have ever owned, so the extra buttons seem excessive but I can imagine it being great to expand usability. One thing to note is that this is not good to use with a power strip. I didn't think about how far it extends vertically, thus covering the other outlets. With the direction of the tongs, it ended up using one outlet and covering 3 more outlets of the 6 on the strip. I highly recommend you get this for a wall outlet, though!

I configured all outlets as described in product instructions with one remote controller. What I didn't know until later because the outlets were located in different rooms, was that other outlets were turning on and off along with the one I was looking at. I put all outlets in the same room and tried multiple times to configure them as required. Since all were in the same room, I was able to see that in some cases more than 1 outlet was turning on and off. I used the second controller and was able to configure all 5 outlets without any problems. The first controller is defective so now I am trying to get in touch with Beastron. There is no phone number to call. The box does have a web address and I was able to send a note through the web site. If I don't get a response soon, I will simply return the whole package back to Amazon as defective. Update 4-20-2018 I will not have to return the switches because I figured out the issue. Each remote controller is unique and each outlet has to be programed with both remotes. This can create a problem if buttons and outlets are mixed during the programming with each remote (my case). The reset function is not described in the 1 page instructions. 1. Unplug all outlets from the wall outlets. 2. Reset all outlets by holding down the program button while unplugged and continue holding down the program button while plugging it back into the wall outlet. 3. The light will blink fast 4 times and then stay off. 4. Do this to the next until all outlets have been reset. 5. Start with outlet [1]. Press the program button on the outlet until it starts to blink slowly. 6. Press button [1] on the 1st remote controller (not numbered) and the outlet will stop blinking. It is now programed. 7. Repeat step 4 and 5 to the remaining outlets using corresponding outlet and buttons (1=1, 2=2, 3=3, 4=4, 5=5). 8. Using the 2nd (not numbered) remote controller, repeat steps 4, 5, and 6 for all outlets. 9. 1st and 2nd remote controllers have now been programmed so that buttons and outlets match. (1=1, 2=2, 3=3, 4=4, and 5=5).

This thing is incredible! I wanted something in my chicken coop so I could turn my heat lamps off and on without leaving my house. This is in my chicken coop about 100 feet from my back door and it works!

I was looking for a remote switch of some sort so I wouldn't have to climb behind the Christmas tree each morning and night. I found some that hung on the tree and some foot activated. I decided I'd rather not have one dedicated to just hanging on the tree. I could spend the same amount of money and have a remote controlled outlet for the rest of the year too. This has worked perfectly. Easy to pair. It doesnt need to "see" the outlet to work. We had presents puked high in front and the remote still worked great. Now I'll use it to turn on & off a light that's in an awkward spot until next Christmas when I either swap it out or decide that I need multiple outlets controlled by remote.
